Today I had the worst hair appointment I have ever had in my life. I will never go to your salons again. I will tell everyone I know how horrible you are. I had an appointment today at 9am with Anna at the Regis in Kenwood. All I needed was a retouch of color and flatiron. She got hair dye all over my face. Then her flat iron job was awful. She left my hair frizzy and not done. It was not straight. She left the roots of my hair curly and my hair had fly aways and mad static. I have never had such a horrible job in my life. She is the worst worker ever. I can't even say stylist because she is awful and had no accountability for her work. She acted as if it was great. She took no action to fix it nor did I get an apology. The worst thing is she didn't appoliguze and acted as if she did nothing wrong. That is the worst kind of person to have working for you. Just horrible. I am so upset to have had this experience. You should be ashamed of yourselves for such awful service and behavior. Upset at Christmas!!!!! read more

This was basically an over priced Super Cuts. The woman who cut my hair was nice...and that was about all. She cut my hair significantly shorter than I asked. I am still unclear how asking for my long hair to be brought up to my shoulder ended up near my ear. And then when it looked terrible after being blown dry, she told it me "oh I haven't used the flat iron yet." Seriously? A bad cut is a bad cut. I told her to it needed to look better and she asked me how to fix it - again... Seriously? I don't cut hair... after a little layering it was slightly improved, but now I am relegated to a pony tail until I get another hair cut (elsewhere obviously) to fix it. I just moved, and usually have had good experiences for a hair cut on- the-go at Regis, but this was pathetic. I guess I should have used Yelp to help me find my new Salon... read more

I've been going to Megan at Regis since 2009. Even when I moved to Cleveland for 2 years, I would still get my hair cut when I was down visiting. She has always done a great job both with the cut and color, taking my crazy magazine and pinterest inspired ideas and making them work for me. She's not one to lecture either when I come in with clearly box dyed hair. She also fixed my hair and helped it grow out in the least awkward way possible after I impulsively got my hair cut at another salon while out of town. I can't speak on any of the other stylists at the salon but I highly recommend Megan. read more

I've been to MANY salons over the years... Including some severely overpriced salons in Beverly Hills and Cindi at the Kenwood Regis gave me the best highlights of my life. She used an amazing technique to keep the mix from bleeding which I had never seen before and my highlights were INCREDIBLE! I was also shocked by the unusually low price for a Regis salon. Usually I spend $80 on just highlights and it was only $50. Obviously, I gave her a massive tip on top of that for such a great job because results like that deserve to be rewarded! I wish I could leave 0 stars! I had an appointment with Allison on Saturday at 2pm. I got a phone call on Saturday at noon saying Allison is sick and she could take me Sunday at 2. I said ok and rearranged a lot of commitments to make this work. I left work 15 min early and when I arrived to the salon I barely got even a hello. I said hi are you Allison and the lady at the desk said no. I said do you know if Allison is available and she replied that Allison would be a couple minutes. Allison came out and asked what I needed done and I said I'm in the books for a full highlight and cut. At that point Allison asked me to take my hair down so she could take a look. I said no problem even though I found it odd that I was sitting in the lobby area while we were doing this and not a stylist chair. As she raked her fingers through my hair she stated, "I had a concussion yesterday and I'm having a hard time with these long services. I tried calling you!" I then replied,"my phone did not ring! Have you ever hear of voice mail?!?" She then said, "I guess I could paint your highlights in.... I think said, "Forget it. I rescheduled my whole day to accommodate you and if you couldn't take care of me there should have been a phone call!" I can not believe the lack of costumer service and work ethic! read more

I'm extremely happy with the service I received at this salon. This salon was recommended to me by a friend and personally recommended Randall. I had received a bad haircut from a different salon that I needed him to fix. He knew exactly what I was talking about, fixed it and also gave me a bit of a different style that I loved! He took the time to talk to me about products that would help my hair without being pushy. He also asked if there are any techniques I would like for him to show me in styling my hair. I have never had a hair stylist ask me that and I felt that he truly cared about my ability to style my hair walking out of that salon. Cincinnati, OH in Kenwood Mall I had VERY long hair and just wanted to trim the bottom and clean up my layers. The girl that cut my hair was very conversational, nice for the most part until she started to talk crap about one of her co-workers. I asked for 1-2 inches trimmed off. She suggested that I really ought take 3 inches off because of how dead it was. I agreed. When I got home and looked in the mirror that night, the hair hanging over my left shoulder was the agreed 3 inches shorter than it was before.... but the hair on my right shoulder was an additional 3 inches shorter than the left side. ONE SIDE OF MY HEAD LOST 3 INCHES IN TOTAL AND THE OTHER SIDE LOST 6 INCHES IN TOTAL! I went back the next day and was told they were too busy to fix the problem. I persisted and took my hair out of the ponytail/hat and showed them. They were appalled! Suddenly they had room to fit me in. The man who cut my hair did a great job and my hair now looks healthy and EVEN. He took pictures to show his manager so he could get reimbursed. My hair went from nearly my belly button, to now just barely past my shoulders. Never, ever, ever go here! I paid $40 and it was worse than if I had gone to great clips for 5.99 and had someone blind do it! read more

Overpriced for the skill. I specifically go to Regis because I have been a long time Regis customer in the Dayton Mall location. I moved to Cincinnati to get married and was making the 45min drive to the Dayton location to have my hair cut, but unfortunately my guy chuck no longer works there. Happily surprised to find out about this kenwood Regis location. Expecting the same level of skill and customer consideration as the last Regis. I've gone to this Regis 3 times each time thinking that my experience would be different/better than the last. I was sorely disappointed each time. I went ONE MORE TIME to a different stylist who looked like a girl who just graduated beauty school (Megan I believe was her name blonde short hair) I was super nervous from the get go because I had shoulder length hair and wanted to rid myself of the dreadful bleached ends (never bleach your hair ladies it destroys it oy). Needing a Pixie hair cut (which I've had before for years at a time) I show her my old photo from when the Dayton location cut it. I know every stylist is different. But holy cow this hair cut wasn't even close. I know the process of getting a pixie cut but what she was doing felt so wrong. she said she does "the basic cut when its wet then texturize it when its dry". I asked her to fix around my ears because they were completely covered (she only did one side), the back is uneven upon further inspection at home , she cut my bangs slightly layered but then they flat-lined out. I mean flat line bangs on maybe a quarter of my forehead, she had no idea how to blend... at all, she asked me how to fix it. Then she used a round brush?? first of all when does a pixie cut need a round brush? second of all at least have some personality when I'm trying to make conversation.. geez I paid the 20% tip as a courtesy because everybody has to make a living but everyday that I look in the mirror I regret ever paying $41 for this bad bowl cut. I left the salon with my hood up and now wear a hat which makes me look butch. I don't have the most feminine face in the first place. I look like a 12 year old chinese boy.. My sister n law even told me that it was completely shapeless and I wasn't even angry when I was talking to my sister, I said do you like it? and that was her response.... My nephew even said "aunty, you look like a dude!" laughs and then runs away... I'm no expert in any sense. But I am the customer, and unsatisfied one, I've never been angry or horrified enough to ever write a review. Ever. I thought reviews were just for people with an over heightened sense of injustice and self righteousness. but I even told her that I was super OCD about my hair and because of condition my hair was in, I cried on the way home, unfortunately I had a family gathering that night so I couldn't hide in the safety of my home. So I slapped on that baseball hat and left with my tail between my legs hoping nobody would criticize... Fortunately my family is awesome and we had a jam session with my husband on drums (heck yes) to make me feel better and maybe some martinis, that helped too ha ha I'm never coming back to this place ever again. I have nothing against Regis as a company, just THIS Regis Salon was severely in need of more experienced professionals. I'm having my haircut fixed Thursday thanks to my sister Cambrey who recommended her friend Holly an EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL. read more

I called and was able to get a same day appointment. Adam cut my hair and did an awesome job. He paid close attention to detail. He put time and effort into my cut. It was nice to have someone who didn't make me, as a client, feel like just another haircut. He also gave the best scalp massage I've ever gotten. I would highly recommend Adam to anyone! read more

I went there yesterday to get my hair done for a wedding. The woman working the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. When I booked an appointment, I failed to mention I would want an up-do. She found someone to assist me anyway, and I was in and out of there with a pleasing style in record time. I was however, surprised by the cost. I'm not from that area and maybe I'm used to cheaper prices. read more
