Chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce
    Travis W.

For what it is (American Chinese fast food) this is the best in the area. Their food is always fresh and they seem to cook with more care and less random greasy sauces compared to the other similar restaurants in the area. A couple of my favorites are their chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce and their jumbo fried shrimp. Of course both are nicely paired with their delicious pork fried rice. At times it can be a tad salty, even with my salt loving palette, but generally it's pretty on point. The good food is topped with quick delivery times. The food generally arrives within 15-20 minutes. I don't generally promote greasy fast food but once in a while I have to feed my guilty pleasure and Rego Garden is always my go to.

Today decided to give Rego Garden one more try. I have to say I noticed all new people not sure if this is new management or I just happened to come on a day where I didn't recognize any one, but I ordered my usual steam vegetables in very light white sauce and General Tso's chicken white meat only and plain rice. I have to say both were amazingly delicious. And this is by any standards of any Chinese take out or eat in that I have had in a very very long time. The vegetables were cooked so perfectly crisp and had a garlic hint to them. And the general tso's was fried to a perfect crisp and for the first time ever had pea pods carrots and onion and celery it smelled so delicious as soon as I opened it and tasted even better I will try them one more time to make sure they are really back but it looks like they are... -so happy

    Eggplant in garlic sauce

Friendly staff and quick service. I ordered the eggplant in garlic sauce. At first bite my taste buds lept for joy. Flavorful and cooked just right with plenty of other vegetables. All their menu items look delectable. I may need to come again to try them all if they all taste as good as what I'm eating today

Pile of beans. Little to no shrimp.

Since this is the nearest Chinese fast food. I had fired rice with brown sauce beef. They got "A" grade! Affordable price and good taste.

I give this place a one star and won't be returning. The fried baby shrimps were canned shrimps (very tiny) and way to much breaded.

Warning to all with a pineapple allergy like me: do not eat the duck sauce. If you like spicy ask for hot mustard instead. Orange chicken was crispy and flavorful. I did not find it spicy, but my spice tolerance is very high. My fiance had the chicken with broccoli and it looked amazing. Try the cold noodles. They are chewy and delicious. For me the fried dumplings were good, but not great. Worth a try but nothing to rave over.

I ordered the cured pork with garlic shoots and dry fried green beans. The cured pork was quite salty, and paired well with the buttery, tender leeks it was cooked with. The dish was not overly oily, and was pleasant over white rice. I enjoyed the chewiness of the pork which allowed you to experience the complex flavor. The green beans were well fried, with characteristic texture signature to this dish. The seasoning was very well balanced and not overpowering to the natural sweetness of the green beans. I would recommend either dish. They were both slightly toned down iterations when compared to the times I've eaten these dishes at other Sichuan restaurants in flushing, but still well seasoned and well cooked. The service was very warm and friendly, and many other customers seemed to be returning regulars.

We ordered the dan dan noodles for an appetizer, chewy noodles and good flavor. Then we had the custom dry pot (we put chicken, tofu, Napa and Choy medium spicy) that came out tasty and fast. And finally we ordered the crispy fish which was HUGE but crunchy and flavorful - definitely more food than we expected but it's okay! Servers were friendly and even though there was an error in our order they were quick and ways to fix. The restaurant is small and hole in the wall, feels authentic. AC wasn't on so a little warm with all this spicy food but overall will definitely come back with friends and family.

The restaurant is a few blocks from the main street of Steinway so it'll take a bit of searching. Going inside, the area is rather abstract. Pink flower wallpaper on one end and dry wall on the other, it's kinda off-putting but I didn't come here for the atmosphere anyway. Service was lukewarm, I got my order in but the two workers inside weren't too receptive and the menu itself is kinda barebones with most of their food being a bit more than I would like to pay for so I just settled on one order of Singapore Mei Fun. After waiting 10 minutes for my food to arrive, the Singapore noodles which are usually spicy were kinda salty but it was nothing a bit of duck sauce wouldn't fix. This one order cost $17 while not the worst Singapore Mei Fun...well technically it is, even though it's not horrible but I've had much better from other places for a stable price of $12. Yeah, a rather disappointing visit. Not the worst I've ever had but could be so much better.

The burger has a big (almost as big as the bun!) and a small chunk of flaky Cod, coated in a crisp sturdy batter. The bolo added some sweetness, which went well in the burger. Most of the bolo is missing that flaky crisp bite, but that is the nature of making it into a sandwich. The edges were still crisp. - Wedges: fantastic! Crispy exterior, with a fluffy interior. The shape (looks like it is a thick spiral cut) lends well to that texture. - Salad: was fresh, with a non descript dressing. Added some greens and crunch (onions and pickled radish) to the meal. - HK Milk Tea: Great tea flavor and not too milky. There was a lot of ice though.
