I reilly reilly reilly reilly like this place. Call me, Carly? Wonderful Irish Bakery in the West Side Market. Full of absolutely delicious treats. They have all kinds of stuff here, and even though the Irish do not bake quite as well as the French in general, you will enjoy some of these old world treats. Especially the savoury stuff. My favorites are the shepherd's pies and the meat pies and the pasties but I still have to try a lot more. While you're in the WSM, get a Lemon Sugar crepe from Crepes Du Luxe, a Brat from Frank's, and some spicy jerky from J & J Czuchraj. Yes, I'm reilly serious.

Meat pies. Beef, pork, chicken and vegetable!

Best Fresh Baked Irish Food Bakery we have been to in years! Prices were lower than expected for such Great Products. Large portions with high quality ingredients. We drove from Lake County and Stocked up our home freezer. Mon-Sat 7am-4pm (5pm on Wednesdays). Website: www.reillysirishbakery.com!

My group were supposed to go to Habesha Ethiopian restaurant for dinner and book club but they were closed so we found ourselves at PJ's Irish Pub. AMBIANCE -- Dimmer light but not too dark inside. Typical, traditional bar look and feel. Lots of booth tables plus a center bar area with chairs around it. DRINKS -- I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on their drink offerings but considering that this is an Irish Pub, they must have lots of options to choose from such as beer. FOOD -- Their menu is large with dishes such as pot pie, tacos, meatloaf, etc. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I just ordered 2 beef tacos that came with tomatoes but I forgot to ask for it to come without cheese. So, I had to remove the shredded cheese from it. There was a lot of cheese on the tacos too. The tacos were fine - simple enough and the beef tasted just right. This pub is probably more known for their drinks but I may be wrong. Everyone on my table seemed to enjoy their dinner. I noticed someone ordered meatloaf, another for a chicken pot pie, another had a big plate of broccoli with something else (the broccoli looked tasty), and so on. SERVICE (5/5) -- our group was treated well. We were greeted upon walking in plus our server took our orders at a reasonable time. PARKING -- Not the best like most places in the area because it is street parking only but I was very lucky to find a street parking spot right in the front of the pub. You can probably park at the shopping district parking lot across the street where a gas station is located. Overall, although I wasn't expecting to even visit PJ McIntyre's Irish Pub on that cold January evening, it was a nice enough experience (mostly FUN because of the book club group rather than the food). The beef tacos that I ordered were fine and a fair price (around $6.50 total). I most likely won't be back since I don't drink alcohol and I hardly visit pubs or bars for dinner. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 11/250 total reviews in 2026 - 852 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 February 2026

The Harp... all I can say is WOW -- a hidden gem!…read more I've literally lived on the west side, right down the street, and never tried The Harp. Me and my babe were riding down Route 2 talking about wanting something good and different, and he was like, "You wanna try The Harp?" I said you know what... let's do it! We always thought it was super upscale -- whole time we were wrong... but in the BEST way. The vibe is nice, cozy, and welcoming, and the service? On point. Now let's get to the FOOD. Because baby... that's what we came for I was scrolling the menu and got hype seeing vegan options (you already know that warms my heart ). I kept eyeing the vegetarian boxty -- an Irish potato pancake -- something different. I was like hmm... maybe. Then I switched it up and said nah, I'm getting the fried green tomato wrap BUT WAIT. The waiter walked past with a plate that smelled SO good it literally stopped me mid-thought. I'm like hold on... what IS that?! She said, "That's the salmon boxty." Me and my babe looked at each other like... yeahhh we both thinking the same thing He ordered the steak boxty, and I got the vegetarian boxty. Listen... 10/10. MUST TRY AGAIN. Huge portions, flavorful, and DIFFERENT in the best way. That Irish potato pancake was loaded with sautéed mushrooms, zucchini, squash, spinach, onions, and carrots, all topped with a creamy spinach sauce. Not dry, not skimpy -- just straight up delicious. And the price? I definitely appreciated that too. The drink menu looked good -- I didn't indulge, but I did sip his "Clair Cooler" and babyyyy... nice, strong, and worth it Safe to say... we'll be back again and again

They have their own parking lot (on both sides of the restaurant) which is a big positive given their location. The interior was much larger then I expected, I can see it being good for large parties of people. My friend and I both opted for the crab cake sandwich (I switched out the chipotle aioli for the lemon one with no issue) and a side of fries. It was a very solid sandwich with very solid crab cakes. The service was attentive without being overbearing which I appreciated. Overall would recommend! I'd like to stop by and try more things.

The experience was very unsatisfactory, especially since my elderly mother and I were out with friends, and the whole thing was embarrassing. My mom ordered the Cod dinner. She requested to have green beans instead of fries. The server Allyson H said that would be fine and never mentioned any additional charges. As it is, they charge the same 3 dollars for fried and green beans. The fish was overcooked and rubbery, and the coating had no taste. The green beans were almost raw. We mentioned it to the server, who said she could bring another side or she could credit us for the beans on the bill, which is what we decided to go with. My bacon and sprout pizza was ok, but not like the last time I ordered it. Very skimpy toppings, especially the brussel sprouts. When the bill came, we noticed no credit for the beans. In fact, the charge for the fish dinner was $21.50 when it was clearly listed as $19.00. We mentioned it to the server, who made up some kind of crap that made no sense to anyone at our table. It was something about substituting some fish that was more expensive. It was ridiculous. So she comes back with a new receipt, it has the fish listed as $19, and then they took off $1.50 for the uncooked green beans (where they got this figure from, I don't know, as green beans as a side are listed as $3. Shouldn't the credit have then been for $3?!). The final insult to injury was when she told me that I needed to pay cash to avoid the additional 3% fee for using a card. I told her I was using a debit card. She tells me it makes no difference, it would still be a 3% charge. This is AGAINST THE LAW! Merchants are not allowed to charge extra fees for paying with a debit card; it comes straight out of your bank. I have thus reported them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Never once did a manager appear to explain or apologize. They clearly don't care and are getting away with something that is illegal. There is no excuse for ripping people off and serving substandard food. Needless to say, we will never be back!

Waitress looked a little frazzled that took our order. My wife had a Harp draft and I just had a Miller Lite. We were getting ready to order our meals and the waitress told us they were out of mashed potatoes. Now the mashed potatoes were supposedly homemade and this was around 6 on a Saturday. My bangers and mash plan went south as did my wife with the corned beef platter, How does an Irish bar run out of mashed potatoes. We had an onion ring appetizer, our onion rings were outstanding but size didn't seem consistent with a neighboring table and a dipping sauce would have been good. I had meatloaf sliders which were good with cajun fries, My wife had the flat iron which is corned beef. Sandwich was large. She could barely eat half. The food wait time was about 35 minutes. I'd return again to try some authentic Irish specialties, and if they were sold out again I wouldn't return, This seems like a great Irish pub, I just wish I had a better culinary experience. I'll definitely get it another chance.
