Always happy to find an Irish pub that puts effort into their menu, and brings out the food incredibly hot and delicious! The bangers and mash were the highlight, but all of the appetizers were great including the Guinness mushrooms and spinach dip that had enough garlic to knock you back a bit. Not very family with Cleveland so while driving around we seen this location. Got super lucky and was able to park right in front. Perfect timing I guess. Other than that good luck finding parking. It's very nice and big inside. Lots of dining room and a full bar. Our waiter was really nice personable young man. He let me try 2 different drafts to see which one I like. I went with the Elvis one, it's a citrus IPA. We got the spinach and pita dip, it was awesome! For our meals my wife got the pot roast that she really liked! I got a Reuben and fries. The Reuben could have had a little more thousand island but it was good. Definitely a nice place to go for lunch. Although a bit pricey though but then again we are downtown. read more

We walked here from our hotel to grab a bite on a Wednesday evening. We walked right into the beginning of trivia night which is perfectly fine except that it was so loud you couldn't really get away from it. Hard to relax and unwind during the game, so we listened and played along by ourselves . I had my heart set on the fish and chips. The fish was delicious and pulled away easily from the fried coating, and stayed together instead of flaking off. The fries were really tasty that came with the fish. Did not much care for the lack of taste tartar sauce nor the Cole slaw. Our server Autumn was just the right amount of friendly and attentive to us, and the manager came to chat with us about getting a specific MLS soccer game on tv but they couldn't. Stopped by after our visit to Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Place is downtown and of course we picked the night there was a Cavaliers game, which their arena is basically across the street. With that being said the restaurant was packed but we (11 in my group) found to tables in the bar area. It's different that you go up to the bar to order and then sit back at your table but it works. Came here after our visit to the Rock Hall because my daughter wanted steak. Sabrina had a very welcoming smile and was happy to explain the outside parking to us. For starters I tried their poutine. The cheese had a nice pull and the gravy had pieces of onions in it. It was flavorful and I enjoyed it. My sirloin steak was cooked to the correct temperature I requested of medium well, but it was type tough and a little difficult for me to chew. I got the Latin Passion mule to drink because I like 21 seeds cucumber jalapeño tequila, the passion fruit purée balanced it. When we were waiting for the bill, my sister ran into the bathroom. Stopped into Flannery's for a quick drink after a show downtown. I hadn't been here in a while and figured it would be a typical pub with somewhat dirty floors. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the place is super clean, well lit, and a more adult vibe than I expected. I just got a beer, but I did see a burger that looked delish. Flannery's redeemed itself! First off, Dane the bartender, provided excellent service even when it was pre game PACKED! We order 2 buttery nipple shots which were PERFECT despite him saying it was his first time make it. 2 green tea shots which were also delicious- balanced so well I could literally sip on it. 1 dirty martini, 1 spicy bloody marry, a few high noons and a tripple Tito's on the rocks all of that came out to less than $200 pre tip. What could improve? Sadly everything. Upon arrival, the place was empty. Zero other customers at dinner hour. That should've been our first clue. The street of bistro's around the corner was bustling. Service was nominal. The food was the worst. I got the corn beef and cabbage dinner that comes with carrots and potatoes. The potato wedges ended up to one small red skin potato. The carrots were too circular cut of carrot, cut in half. Not even 2 carrots! I could get more carrot in a lettuce salad. Oh, oh...the dinner was microwaved, not cooked. I stuck my finger in the wedge of cabbage and there was ice. ICE! It was re-microwaved for me. Pathetic meal. Don't eat here, STAY AWAY!!!! read more

What a gem!! Not sure about your experience but I have not been to many pubs that have great food. This place is fantastic. The Guinness is outstanding. It's a big pub and I understand why. They are close to the baseball stadium and seem to be popular with the locals. Staff is friendly and give great service. The food is sooo good. We had a couple of Guinness our first night in Cleveland and enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms. They were sinfully good. Then night two we were up for trying something new but why when this place is so good. Enjoyed the grilled cheese and the Mac and cheese. Shared both and my husband agreed they were delicious. So good we came back twice! My family and I were in town for a wedding nearby and we were glad we walked in! On our first visit we had their Guinness Mushrooms which were awesome! They came out piping hot and were covered in a savory Guinness batter perfect for soaking up the alcohol. I also loved the warm, gooey cream cheese filling. On our second visit we tried their Meatloaf and Bangers and Mash. Honestly their meatloaf was one of the best I've ever had! It was so moist and flavorful. The Bangers and Mash were delicious as well. Of course their beers were on point, and their dartboards in the back of the pub were a fun way to pass the time. Any management person that uses a billiard table for workstation has minimal respect for house assets, let alone paying customers. When asked why the pool table was covered in paperwork & drinks, I was told... "the manager uses that as a desk when she needs to". I've worked in a billiard hall and also a regular bar, respectable places/management would not allow this. This sets a poor example for customers. No drinks should be on any pool table. What a dumbass move... it's like over 1k to re-felt & balance a table. read more

The young man who was the host wouldn't seat us at available tables because we were a party of 2 and they were "4 tops and 6 tops, and I would be wasting the table on you." While spending the weekend here for the SFG series, we decided to venture near our hotel and spotted this place. Open late, kitchen closes at 11pm, with good food and people. Sat at the bar, met locals and chatted up with bartenders. We felt welcomed and not rushed at all. I appreciate local brews on tap, which gave us a wide selection to try. Let's start with the best damn corned beef and cabbage this Irish boy has ever had-and I have had it a LOT! Great tap and they know exactly how to pour a Guinness (see photos). So many other bars near by were such a letdown or all together closed. I'm so glad that Flannery's was open and busy both nights I stopped in. Smithwick's for the win and Megan and August (not too sure on his name), but both were top notch and attentive bar tenders. Even the one night numerous wedding parties came in and "had to be the top priorities" the Flannery's team handled it extremely well. We really love coming to Flannery's. The fish fry on Fridays are delicious. The bartenders are always friendly and quick! Only con is that we really, really love to play darts and their dart boards are very sad and pathetic. They are broken and old... They are quite literally falling apart, tiny pieces of chalk you can barely use. PLEASE get all new and usable stuff so we can play! We decided on Flannery's for a quick dinner on NYE before going out. They weren't super busy, which we were happy about, and we only waited maybe 15 minutes to get a table for 6. While we were waiting we easily grabbed a couple beers at the bar. Once we were seated we ordered Fried Pickles and BBQ wings for appetizers and they were both delicious. For my meal, I ordered the Turkey Club and it was so, so good. A Club is kind of a my go-to a lot of times and this was one of the best I've ever had. Since we were going out I didn't want to eat too much so sadly I didn't finish it but I wish we had time to go back. Flannery's Irish Pub is perfectly located if your planning to attend an event at Quicken Loans Field House or planning pick up a Guardian's baseball game. There food at Flannery's is good with selections you word expect at a pub. The Reuben sandwich was tasty with ample amount of corn beef. Although the sauerkraut as very mild, too mild for me. I would like a little more tang to it. As expected the Guinness beef is poured with perfection and very good. There are several flat screens for keeping up with the game, but it's not over done.
