Shipped the car from Toronto ON to Vancouver BC. The vehicle arrived extremely dirty, with battery completely drained and beyond repair, the hand-break shattered due to major movements. The plastic around the door had fallen off too. The vehicle had been shipped for a few thousand miles and according to the delivery driver only in the last leg of the journey the mirror case has completely fallen off. I don't know what kind of accident has happened. There was no prior significant damage to the mirror. There were a few normal scratches on it. I only claimed damages for the obvious one i.e. the mirror and paid for the other repairs out of pocket. And my claim for the lost mirror was denied due to "prior significant damage". It was clear to me that the car was VERY poorly handled in the move. Additional comment: I trusted this company (Reindeer) and expected to receive my vehicle in the same condition. I was wrong. Based on their response, you cannot have this expectation. And your vehicle can go through extreme environments and extreme motions that can damage the car. These damages and accidents are not covered by their insurance and they accept no responsibility. I am certain there are more professional vehicle movers that know how to handle a car better. read more

I also had no choice as it was part of my corporate relocation, but the driver picked up my car in time and delivered it to exactly where I wanted 5 days early. The driver also called me for pick up and an hour before drop off. Headquarters or the auto shipping coordinator sent me emails on the potential earlier delivery, so I expected and was ready. One annoying part was I had a full tank of gas and had to ask my brother to use it as much as possible to get it to half tank. Wish they had other means, otherwise I could have had it delivered sooner when I didn't get so busy at work. Not a complaint to this auto transport but to all auto transport in general... As for the condition of the car, it looked fine and I didn't notice any issues and drove it off to parking without a problem. I was forced to use This Company by my Wife's employer even though I knew of Very low customer service...It was a Crap Show..The Man that picked up my Classic 67 C-10 Could not shift it and loaded it with Tire on rail..I was told of dates of delivery 22nd-27th of October in Virginia. I made arrangements for indoor storage and contacted a family member to check it into storage. On October 19th I received a call saying, "Your car is here in Virginia and who is paying $800.00 COD bill?" "No" I said "It's not supposed to be there till Monday and it's paid for, NO COD" He laughed and figured out he had Wrong Paper work..I told him I would call contact number I had and not to drop my car. The next person contacted was a lady that said she would call me back. When I received another call from a man I could not understand "No Problem" he repeated numerous times..And said car would be in a yard..."NO" I Said. When Lady called me back she said, "They don't know what they are doing ". I never received call from the Contact ever. I was 600 miles from location but left my Family and my wife started the drive to Virginia to receive my Classic 67 Chevy. Open arrival I received the only call on my phone...All Others were WRONGLY TO MY WIFE'S PHONE. I met the Driver "Magnus" Local guy on time and professional he told me my truck had been in His Yard as instructed by This Company..They assured me it would be in Storage and would sent Picture....That Never happened...The Contact Never called but changed his story numerous times he did have his Boss call and her Boss...No Answers...My Classic Truck is now sitting in Storage with a unknown leak which I will check when my Mind can wrap around what this Company has done...And now trying to charge My Wife's company more for the extra time and storage...What a Joke this Company is...DON'T BELIEVE THEM... read more

They will steal items from your vehicle even if they are in your center console. The quality care team does a bad job a communicate with a complaint as well. I will not be using them in the future horrible experience. As per scheduled they were supposed to deliver my car Saturday morning April 8th 2017 but the driver call me Saturday early morning and said he can't deliver my car on Saturday because they were having issues with their truck and they were trying to do jump start and they can't start the tow truck. Basically, he said he is going to deliver my car Monday. Following Monday around noon time Driver got my car but due to no entry truck zone he could not hand over to me and said the car is not in running condition, then we got on the phone with Reindeer coordinator to figure out what to do next. Meanwhile I got in touch with local Toyota dealer to have them look over the car. The Reindeer Auto driver drop off the vehicle at the Toyota dealer but without the key. I had a spare set of keys so same (Monday) evening I go to dealer shop and drop off the key. As it was the end of the day, the guy who was working on my car said he'll look into this and let me know tomorrow. On Tuesday morning 04/11/2017, I get the call from Toyota dealer, he said someone tried to jump start my car with wrong cable nodes and that caused damaged to my vehicle few parts got blown. Honestly this is an unpleasant experience and I can't believe this. This is not the first time I'm experiencing this with Reindeer last time my front bumper got damaged completely and I had to get it replaced in California. I moved my car twice with Reindeer between Canada and the USA. I had to use them because my company have a contract with them to relocate staff vehicles. They are the worse out there. "If you don't want to keep calling and asking where is your vehicle on a daily basis, you don't want your vehicle to get damaged during transportation and you don't want to get a call last min asking for a payment because the driver is at the boarder and there is a fee that they never told you about" do not use Reindeer ever. PLUS They actually do not move any vehicles themselves, they sub all relocations to random cheap towing trucks. read more

Like some of the other users, we were not sure about what to expect but Raindeer was part of our relocation package. In the end, we've been pleased with a smooth service from pick up to delivery, including border crossing. Before pick up, NaTasha from Raindeer sent us several emails to walk us through the entire process (including customs clearance), and has been very responsive to any of the questions we had. The car was picked up in Seattle Washington on a morning and the truck driver called 30 minutes before he arrived to give me a heads up. In the end, because of the narrow road leading to our house versus the size of the haul on which the car would be loaded, we agreed to meet on the parking lot of the closest Infinity dealership, which was not an issue for us. We preferred the car to be loaded in a secure environment instead of the truck not being well set to perform the maneuver. The driver performed a quick inspection and gave us a copy of the damage report. Whilst the car was in transit, NaTasha assisted us with a missing paper necessary to the border crossing and she has been very supportive and reassuring. She also kept us informed of the timeline with regular emails, although it was more of a window than a precise date. In the end, NaTasha emailed us to let us know that the car arrived and that we had a bit more than 24h at this point to pick it up from the bonded warehouse, before paying a daily storage fee. It seems to us that herself has been informed on the very same day she emailed us, and again, she made sure to re-send all the necessary information for a smooth customs clearance process. The car was in the same and perfect condition than when it has been loaded in WA. We're knocking off a star for the following reasons: - the truck driver at pick up did not show any "official" pickup order or paper from Reindeer - the damage inspection has been done quite quickly and the report was barely understandable without clear letterhead showing the name of the company. Reindeer Auto is a horrible organization to work with and unfortunately despite the horror stories I had heard from others, two of my employers via their relocation companies had enlisted their services to transport our vehicles. On both occasions significant damage occurred to our vehicle ($2K-$4k in damages). Each time, despite the damage NOT being excluded under their carrier agreement (they exclude almost any kind of damage that can happen in transport - the very service they are supposed to provide) and the vehicle being documented by both their carriers and ourselves as being free from any damage at pickup and with damage documented at delivery they fought us on the damage their carriers created. The first time they transported our car I physically stood there and watched the carrier drag the front of our vehicle off the trailer. They still fought us on the damages. We then had the car transported successfully without damage with two other carriers. Fast forward and we are being relocated again and I am told Reindeer is the carrier. I immediately become concerned. I proactively reach out to them to remind them of what happened the time before (5 years ago) and ask for confirmation that they can successfully transport the vehicle without damage. They confirm that they can and all that they need is the clearance of the vehicle. We provide the clearance and ask if they need anything else and they say we are all set. Then the vehicle shows up with damage and they refuse to pay, offer a $500 payment to basically file a claim with your insurance and offer to partner with your insurance company, and then silent treat you. Our vehicle is a Dodge Viper - so if they don't treat a specialty car with care they definitely won't treat your every day car with any more care and many vehicles have low clearances. Please protect yourself and find another transport or do it your self as it will be cheaper than the damages that this company will do to one of your primary assets. We hope this helps. read more

The only reason to use this company is that is your last resort and you're utterly desperate. With the exception of one manager, the customer service from dispatch/communication staff was abysmal. They changed the dates of delivery multiple times, with our car actually taking 14-days to arrive. Our car was sitting in various lots for days on end. They continually misled us on the location of our vehicles not understanding that many vehicles contain tracking devices. We were told the delay was due to road closures, which was untrue. This company is actually a dispatch group and puts your auto move out to bid to independent contractors, so you never really know who has your car. This car relocation was absolutely the worst part of our move. read more

Beware! Do not use this company if you value your vehicle. Similar to Emily S. below, I used this company as part of my relocation package to move my car from the OC to Seattle. The customer service was horrible. The delivery communications were inaccurate, the delivery was outside of the designated time window causing me to miss work, and the vehicle was dropped off a multi-car carrier in the middle of city traffic. Because they are HQ'd in the Midwest, you cannot reach them after hours. Even though they have an "emergency" contact number the phone just rings and rings. There was damage to my car of about $1,000 and Reindeer took no accountability with the claim that because they can't prove driver negligence in the transport it is on me. So, if a rock or log or Winnebago hits your car in transit its on you and your insurance company. What delivery company that delivers any product does this? Edited 3/9/17 - The so called chip on my vehicle was a dent on the rocker panel that extended inside the driver's side door and was in the place where a driver's feet would enter or exit the vehicle. Not possible for a rock to create this kind of damage unless it was shut in the door by a driver. Reindeer can claim that the damage is not driver negligence as they seem to do from these reviews for every scratch and dent of a vehicle in their possession. I recently found additional photos taken at the time of delivery that clearly show damages to the roof caused by driver negligence. Date and time stamped. When I dropped my car off at Whiteys in Hartford, there was no one to perform the mandatory vehicle inspection and with a flight to catch that evening, I did not have the luxury of waiting around. When my car was delivered to me 12 days later, it was extremely dirty and covered a few blemishes. Multiple calls and emails to Reindeer Auto from the very day of delivery through the following week went unanswered, until the corporate relocation coordinator got involved. Clearly the "real.personal.service" was not working after delivery. Thereafter, on request, I provided multiple photographs and estimate for the damage, after which the claim was reviewed and denied as preexisting damage and untimely notification. read more

I would rate them 0 if I could. Positive: the pick up and delivery drivers were on time. Negative: EVERYTHING ELSE ! Where do I start? We did not pick reindeer, they were part of our relocation package. We will make sure to let our company know about the horrible customer service and their thieves. Hopefully they will lose that business! The pick up driver was on time, and efficient. However nobody explained to us that the interior was not covered. Let me explain: We moved from Miami, FL area to Washington DC, area. The car got here on time, a day before the snow storm hit us. The delivery driver rushed me and wanted me to sign the paperwork BEFORE inspecting the car... I told him I want to make sure I don't see any damages before I sign anything. The exterior was fine, so I signed. I should have checked the interior. Lesson learnt. Our car is a convertible, the snow storm hit us, and we did not use the car for about 2 weeks. When we drove it two days ago, we noticed the radio player is broken. It turns off and on every 30 seconds. We also had a cable installed in order to plug our iPhones to the radio, and it was simply missing, nowhere to be found. We figured they pulled the cable to steal it and broke the radio that way. We contacted BRAD TON, a Reindeer rep in order to file a claim as he had sent us an email about filling out a survey. Somebody else, JEFF WALLACE ("quality care specialist" - who has nothing of a quality care specialist) called us. He was VERY RUDE and explained the interior is not covered. He told us "if you wanna file a claim, go ahead, but it will not be approved". Talk about customer service?! So basically they can break and steal and will never get in trouble ?! How professional is that????? Oh, and he added damages need to be reported within 24hours. We were in a snow storm and could not use our convertible. Not willing to work with us. I will file a claim. We went to *extreme* lengths to make sure one of our cars (custom built sports car) wasn't damaged in the move, including taking photographs of and measuring approach angles, asking for a skilled driver, asking that it not be unloaded once it was picked up, until at our new home, etc... Come to find out, it was unloaded and reloaded, not once, but TWICE, during the move, and sure enough, it arrives with a burnt clutch, 1/3 of a tank of gas gone, and the driver mysteriously forgot to record the mileage when he picked it up (although the other vehicle is recorded). When the driver arrived, he asked me to unload it off the truck because he had "such a hard time driving it"!! Not only that, but the door handle is completely broken - you can't even open the driver's door. The second car had the weatherstripping torn and window tint scratched (exactly like what would happen if you locked the keys in it, and tried to break in). They are denying all claims. read more

After calling and speaking with a lady over the phone I would never recommend this company for anything. The person over the phone was not friendly, sure was offensive and abrupt. The end of our conversation consisted of just cancelling the order instead of showing me to think about it for alternative solutions to meety needs. She have false information in following DOT laws that I have the gas tank no more than half full and nothing at all in the car except what's in the glove box. Thisnis the first I've ever been told about this. I've spoken with several carriers who confirmed it's up to the carriers mostly. I had options given I could have No more than 100lbs in each of personal belongings. I can only speculate this is due to the cost of fuel to carry the items and this company is doing their part to minimize the cost of transportation. We have choices and it's def consider better companies out there. You def can't get any worse. read more

This company did a great job! They were selected by a moving company that I trust to ship my vehicle, and I am very pleased with the results. My car came quickly in just a few days (within the estimated window, although they do give a guaranteed by date which was 1.5 weeks later) even though it was a holiday weekend. Brandon and team were wonderful, and the driver dropping off my vehicle was very polite and helpful. My car had no obvious or visible wear and works just as well as before I shipped it. Considering the shipment was from Tennessee to California, I am impressed with the condition of my vehicle, as I did opt for open carrier. Similar to some other reviewers, I was relocated through my employer and they use Reindeer as an auto transportation company. I didn't realize until I started reading reviews that Reindeer is merely the logistics coordinator and doesn't have their own fleet that moves the vehicles. However, while they don't have their own fleet moving the vehicle, they are ultimately responsible for the entire moving process regardless of who they subcontract the work out to. My story starts with the delivery driver calling me and asking me to meet him somewhere other than our agreed upon delivery location to receive my car because it would save him time. For one, you are delivering my car (you know, my method of transportation to get places...), so obviously it's not going to be easy for me to meet you anywhere. And two, this question never should have been asked. You were paid to deliver the vehicle to a specified location per the contract, not to inconvenience the customer. Side note: I could hardly understand the delivery driver due to a veryyy thick accent so it made the interaction that much more frustrating trying to figure out what he was asking. I can get over that part, though. What I can't get over is what happened next: The delivery driver calls and says he's at our specified location. I can clearly see this is not the case as I am standing in the middle of the parking lot. I tell him I do not see him and try to describe where I am. He tells me hes about a quarter mile down the road and that is where his GPS took him. I explain where I am and to please meet me at the agreed upon spot. He tells me he already unloaded my vehicle and I need to meet him there. So, without verifying he was actually in the correct location, he proceeds to unload my car and basically tell me I am out of luck and I need to come to him. Extremely frustrated at this point, I have to walk down the side of a busy road to meet him at the wrong location. And where does that location happen to be? On the side of the road! He pulled him semi-truck over and unloaded my car on the shoulder of the road. At this point I just want to the keys to the car so I can get back to my day. I sign whatever documents I need to sign and get in my car. This is where I was blown away. There is dried mud smeared in random places throughout the interior including the dashboard, floor mats, center console, and seats! How in the world did mud get on the INSIDE of the car?! Completely unacceptable! Now to the point that drove me to write this review: I never write bad reviews. I cleaned the mess up on the inside of the car myself. From there, I would never recommend this moving company to anyone else, but I also wouldn't go around blasting their name. However, I emailed my contact at Reindeer and told her of the mud issue. I didn't ask for compensation for cleaning the inside, I merely made her aware of the issue and expected some sort of response/apology. Instead I received radio silence. I was also emailed a survey where I explained the exact situation above. Again, I expected some sort of response from the company, at the very least saying they would follow up and improve their processes so this sort of situation didn't happen to future customers. And again, radio silence. I get it, Reindeer doesn't transport the vehicles themselves, but their lack of communication and resolution is astounding, especially to a customer who had the interior of their vehicle smeared with mud. read more

I found Reindeer to be extremely unprofessional with regards to how they handle damage reimbursement and the timeliness of their tow vendors. In particular, they first refuse reimbursement, then they try to negotiate several rounds of a settlement - and they did this with both of our vehicles. I feel that the only reason I was successful in getting coverage for my damage was due to the leverage of being part of a large national company for a corporate relocation. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't have that kind of leverage. If I had to move again with my firm, I will absolutely refuse services if it is outsourced to Reindeer. I don't want that to be a reflection of everyone at Reindeer however. Samantha, who was my initial point of contact was very helpful. It is more of a reflection on their outsourced tow vendors and damage settlement process - even when everything is reported according to their protocols on the delivery forms. They even tried to say that "the driver was not responsible for inspecting certain portion of the outside of my vehicle where the damage is reported" - I find that hard to comprehend. Tow pick up was several hours delayed when their facility was only 20 minutes from my house. Delivery was equally frustrating as they provide inconsistent information compared to the local delivery driver regarding delivery times. read more

The vehicle was damaged for over $2,200, and they denied the claim, stating its normal wear and that the driver does not admit fault. They do not take liability for any damage, but try to pass it on to the driver, if the cannot, they will deny your claim. I'm giving 1 start because its not allowing me to give 0. This is very frustrating experience with Reindeer auto relocation. I planned to ship my vehicle from Ann Arbor, MI to Sunnyvale, CA. Reindeer auto relocation picked up my car on Monday, 09/24/2018 and they stored it in local towing area. Before vehicle pickup they told me it is estimated to be delivered on 28th/29th. Every day they just increment a day to delivery date. Now the estimated delivery is 3rd/4th. When you ask why it's getting too late, they simply say they have officially 4-14days window to deliver the vehicle. The most weird part is they picked my vehicle on Friday 09/29/2018 from Ann Arbor. They stored my vehicle for 5days in local towing area, 5 miles away from my home. While I was struggling for my commute to work for a week. They don't care about you, once you give car to them. I shipped my car before from Nevada to Michigan with another transport and they took 4 days to deliver. If you want your car delivered in less than a week Reindeer is not an option for you. Reeindeer should change "4-14days delivery" to "10+days delivery + frustrating experience guaranteed". read more

The absolute worst. I would give 0 stars if it were an option. I have been part of seven corporate moves before and this is the absolute first time that I have had a damaged vehicle. Unfortunately, Weichert Relocation has chosen them as a partner but I will be giving them and the BBB feedback accordingly. Avoid this outfit! They cover themselves with a 24 hour window to report damages. We had our car delivered in the rain and the truck was way to short to offload our Toyota Sequoia. Ripped the running boards when they lowered the vehicle as the truck scraped the pavement due to ramps that were not suitable for the size.
