As soon as you walk in you know this is a good bakery. Between the smell and large number of employees on a early Thursday afternoon. I do agree with one other reviewer that the employees are surly. I went in just to check it out, then felt obliged to try a goody. I tried a tea biscuit and it was worth every bite. Its like a smooth scone. It was so tasty and fresh. I have never and will never go to this bakery. Rude and inconsiderate employees. They feel they are entitled to prime parking spaces as if they own them. When i challenged one of them they lied to me and called me an ahole. read more

I mistakenly ordered a baby shower cake for my sister from Reinholds, but much to my chagrin I had to deal with an old, cranky crusty woman with gray hair. She was unnecessarily difficult when I was trying to describe what I wanted on the cake, and she was outright condescending. Honey, you chose the wrong profession. The baked goods like cupcakes, cakes, rolls, etc. are very good, but honestly I've had better in the area. BUT the donuts are fantastic, out of this world, amazing, etc. etc. The donuts would get 10 stars if possible. The service is good; better at different times of the day, worse at others. Sometimes not as friendly as you would expect. But I'm addicted to the donuts so I'll always be back no matter who is behind the counter. And they have a very good pecan pie once in a while. I love their donuts, they are way better than Dunkin Donuts. Their bread is way better than most place and for sure better than super markets. I crave their cakes especially the strawberry cake. Oh, don't forget that they make home made soup. That and the roll they give you is a MEAL. read more

Came here to get some cookies for a 4th of July gathering. There are plenty of cookies to choose from, and you can get pre-packed assortments or pick your own. The cookies were a hit at the gathering I went to. The employee who helped me was very friendly. I'm excited to come back and try their other pastries and cakes. read more

We hosted a wedding reception on NY Eve for friends of ours who had married earlier in the year...we had a wedding cake made at Reinhold's...I can not rave enough about the quality, decoration and pricing of this beautiful cake...even though it was only for 25 or so people, the owner made sure the cake was beautifully decorated and even had me bring the cake topper in so they could create a perfect placement area for it. The pastry of the cake and filling were so delicious and the beautiful butter cream icing just looked lovely. Thank you so much Reinhold's Bakery..just a spectacular job! I've been a patron of Reinhold's since childhood, when my parents would order birthday cakes for our family. First and foremost, they are a nut-free facility. In addition to that, they also have some gluten free options as well. Their cakes are always freshly-made and nicely decorated in the classic fashion. They work with you to ensure you get what you want. Their donuts are fantastic! Priced at $1.10 each, they're only slightly more expensive than Dunkin' Donuts, but offer much more in flavor. They have generously sized Chinese Chocolate Chip cookies and a variety of cookies at all times of the day. They also offer holiday specials - reindeer bread at Christmas, bunny and egg shaped cakes and cookies at Easter and even some German and Italian specialties during other times of the year. As far as customer service, the counter help has always been more than kind and friendly to me. Recently, I ordered a full sheet cake from here recently for a surprise party, and they were so accommodating - even helping me carry it out to the car when they realized I was alone. I really can't say enough good about Reinhold's. I will continue to be a customer for as long as they'll have me. read more

I've obtained two separate NY cheesecakes from this establishment as birthday cakes from loved ones. I've not patron this bakery before, however word got out that I like the heavy, creamy type of cheesecakes, and I'm guessing this place must have been renown for making them. They are light years better than Entiments, and a short bit better than supermarket baked ones. The box presentation is no different from most bakeries with the white box and red metallic ribbon. I would like to visit this bakery one day and see what else they have. I've heard they make Pignolis near the Christmas season, so I'll check that out this year. read more

I've been going here for 40 years. Not anymore. I came in to order 2 dozen pastries and the woman with the ponytail was so frustrated that she had to do some work I felt like I had to apologize. I had plenty of time, I was in no hurry, but she was so frustrated that I didn't call in my order and was obviously upset that I was making her work. When I left she gave me the bakeries business card and told me to call ahead next time. I didn't take the card (I've been going there for 40 years) there won't be a next time. Reinholds really does have great pastries, cakes, etc., but the customer service is the absolute worst. The weekend crew--what seems to be part-time high school girls, mainly--are actually nicer and do a better job than the regular staff that's around during the week. The weekday help tends to be either surly or ditzy, and the office staff isn't much better. We placed a large order for a party--a simple one--that they got flat-out wrong. I'll still buy the occasional morning pastry from there, but if you want them to get a phone order right and have a friendly experience, you should probably go elsewhere. read more

If you are still allowed to bring (gasp!) baked goods to your child's school, this may be your best option. They are known to be a nut-free facility and they have a selection of gluten-free products as well. Reinhold's has a great selection of holiday desserts as well as great cookies, pies and other bakery items. We've gotten great cakes with photos made with less than 24 hours notice. They will make cupcakes or cakes using any theme you request- if they don't have the right decorations, they will even use what you bring them. Staff is very accommodating and super friendly. This place is a neighborhood gem that deserves way more attention. read more

Best bakery I have ever been too. The homemade soup is to DIE for. Everyone that works there is polite and knowledgeable on their inventory. Everything always tastes so fresh and wonderful. As good a bakery as you will find. They use real butter and it shows. Nothing is dry, or chalky...all is moist and buttery delicious. Their coffee cake is incredible, and their coffee ring - beyond description. Go! Enjoy one of the few remaining bakeries which uses butter. They all say they do, but it is so easy to tell that almost all use oil. read more
