Can't believe I've waited this long to write a review for Rispoli's. If you're looking for Italian pastries, this is THE spot! Our favorites are the lobster tail, tiramisu, and San Giuseppe pastry, but you truly cannot go wrong -- everything is outstanding. They also did our custom gender reveal cake. It was a light and fluffy shortcake, filled with lobster tail cream (which I previously didn't even know you can do). It was cute, delicious and everything we were looking for. On weekends or holidays, be prepared for a wait as this is the best way to celebrate! read more

I went in on a Sunday afternoon and had an excellent experience, a cozy, traditional Italian bakery that is family owned and operated . They are well known for their lobster tails and cannoli and I tell you!!! They are divine! Freshly made and full of flavor without being overly sweet. They make a phenomenal espresso and cappuccino! Staff are so inviting ! There are a few tables for dine in which gives the cafe feel! I'm not a huge fan of cake or cookies but when I do want something, this is definitely one of my go two spots First off, they make an amazing cup of coffee here and I really like all the traditional Italian desserts that they have especially around Christmas time. Everything is always been very fresh and delicious and it is spotless. ! This bakery is such a gem! They have a few gluten-free options and every single one is delicious. The gluten-free chocolate chip cookies are soft and full of flavor, the pignoli nut cookies are perfect, and the chocolate bombs filled with chocolate or cannoli mousse are absolutely heavenly. What I also love is how knowledgeable they are about gluten-free--makes me feel confident and comfortable ordering. A must-visit spot for anyone who loves great pastries (GF or not)! read more

Rispolis in Emerson , while not affiliated with the Hawthorne location, was where I first tried those fantastic lobster tail pastries. Emerson location was always out of the way so was thrilled when Rispolis opened up in Hawthorne! Workers are alway very friendly and nice cozy bakery atmosphere. I have always gone to the Emerson location and didn't even realize this location was there until I drove by. This is dangerous information as I may find myself there too often! Picked up my absolute favorite the lobster tails! Also picked up crumb cake which was amazing. I have to try other things at some point lol. read more

Love love love this newly discovered local bakery! They have all your favorite traditional Italian pastries, cakes, and seasonal, trendy items. They are always busy with customers lounging and attending to walk-ins. The seating area is minimal yet comfortable. Good luck finding a place to sit in the seating area, It's always packed! The workers are very friendly on top of that. I enjoy watching what's going on in the back as I wait for my order to be prepared. If you don't stop here you are truly missing out. Rispoli's has it all, pastries, cookies, breads and oh the coffee! Make sure you see Rose! It's is very much a family experience. Stopped by Rispoli's to pick up cookies and pastries for the holidays. We had stopped by the day before Christmas Eve and it was not too crowded. They have a great variety of fresh baked cookies, pastries, and cakes. They also had pre-packaged cookies. We had purchased a pound of Italian cookies and some pastries. Everything was delicious! The lobster tails are amazing! The cannolis have a good shelf life as we had some leftover and the cannoli shell and cream still tasted fresh days later. This was our first visit and certainly will not be our last! Rose greeted us so warmly and brewed us a fresh pot of coffee. She treated us to a lobster tail which was absolutely delicious! Many gluten free options available. The bread (purchased a ciabatta loaf and long loaf) is great too. Can't wait to stop in again! read more

Someone brought me cookies from your store. I have been loving your cookies since you were in West New York, then Ridgefield. What a disappointment the cookies were 1/2 the size dry and tasteless. The chocolate on the cookies was horrible. You have cheapened the recipe it does not taste like it did so sad. read more

I had googled best bakery in Hawthorne area and came upon Rispoli.'s Rose was an absolute doll-giving a full history on this crown prince of bakeries that was founded in 1937-the pastries were delectable, the place was clean and smelled so delicious . I am newer to the area and needed a bakery to create a custom cake for my mother's combine birthday and retirement celebration. I took a gamble by googling the closest one to me and found Rispoli's in Hawthorne. I went in with only a week's notice and asked for a custom cake with significant things from my mom's life to be captured on the cake (careers, hobbies, children, pets, etc.) Gabrielle, who I believe is the owner, kind of giggled when I asked if the time frame would be a problem because I had seen many bakeries on-line that required extended notice, and reassured me that a week was plenty of time. I showed her the images and told her my ideas and she basically said no problem. A week later I picked up a gorgeous cake that beautifully captured all the milestones throughout my mom's life. The cake was truly the hilight of the party - everyone was so impressed, a few even moved to tears. The cake was equally as delicious as it was beautiful. The bakery itself is immaculate and efficiently run and the staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and polite. My only regret is not getting more detailed pictures of the cake. Overall this was a 10/10 experience. I would absolutely use Rispoli's in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious cake disguised as a beautiful piece of art. This location with the new management and staff have completely shifted this place to a complete 180 degrees. I started going back to this bakery and all of their pastries I've tried so far are delicious. From their famous Lobster tails, canoli's and their cakes have been on point. My son loves their heart cookies, and he always walks out with a bag full of them. Customer service is a lot better, and my experience was a delight just like their treats. read more
