    Rejoice Café in Tamarac Florida
    Kathy Hyatt Realtor ®.

If you love Empanadas, make a trip to Rejoice Café in Tamarac. This is a locally owned Husband Wife Business who makes wholesome homemade food with an authentic Latin/Argentina Flair. Here you will find an excellent variety of the most flaky, flavorful empanadas both savory and sweet you will ever eat. Pair this with their selection of homemade soups and it is the perfect lunch! I had the Mexican Spicy Beef and black bean soup. It was so delicious I did not leave a crumb or drop of soup behind. The desserts are absolutely scrumptious!! Rejoice Café is an absolute Local Gem - where cheerful service, homemade Latin-inspired dishes are inspired , created and served. The dining room feels like stepping into a friend's kitchen - intimate , inviting and full of charm. Rejoice Café isn't just a place to eat--it's a place to feel at home. If you're looking for fresh, flavorful food and authentic hospitality in Tamarac, this hidden gem deserves a visit.

Food prepared absolutely fresh. Friendly owners and a loyal clientele. We stopped for a light lunch and the did not disappoint. With a combination of regular menu items and specials, this secluded breakfast and lunch spot is worth checking out. A huge selection of empanadas soups sand breakfast fare.

This is a hidden gem. It was my first time visiting but when I walked in, it was like I've been there before. The owners are so welcoming and took their time to explain their menu. I ended up changing my order last minute and they accommodated me with no issues and gave me a glass of juice while I wait. The ambience was clean, nice & calming. I went in for breakfast and walked out with an omelette and two empanadas. The Cuban and the Mexican and they were amazing. They were fully filled and I told them I didn't plan on eating it now but later and they gave me instructions on the best way to reheat it. I followed their instructions and it was amazing. The omelette with a side of bacon was delicious also. I will definitely be returning

What an absolute gem of a find (thanks to Yelp). We were looking for something a little unique and savory and/or sweet, not quite the traditional bakery but not a traditional restaurant (can you say lots of indecision in the group? ) Voila - Yelp led us to Rejoice Cafe. Despite walking in about ten minutes before closing, the owners (an absolutely adorable couple) allowed us to sit and eat in (a must for us actually as we were either my 80-some year old mom) which allowed us to sample three of their MANY varieties of handcrafted empanadas and (sadly just) one of their MANY homemade soups (carrot ginger honey). We also got a slice of the Norwegian Verdens cake and some alfajors to go (yummmm). We will definitely be coming back!

    So many empanada choices!

An absolute gem of a place, not only for the wonderful owners (I challenge you to find more friendly people), but for some incredibly tasty and diverse food choices. One example that is very obvious is the empanadas. I think there were at least 20 varieties and in our group of five we tried 10 of them and there was not a loser in the bunch. My daughter got the American Breakfast, I had the Philadelphia and Sweet Corn. We also tried the Argentine and some others and we loved them all, both in the café and later heated up. My hubby got the salmon on toast and it was huge and delicious. Someone else got a regular scrambled eggs and toast breakfast and said it was perfect. My father got the quiche and said it was outstanding, but I want to talk to you about soup. I love soup, no matter the weather and I'm constantly frustrated at the lack of variety available, not to mention the quality when it is available. There were 12 different types of soup. TWELVE! There were four that looked great to me and Ozzi (the owner) suggested the chorizo with chickpeas and lentils and it was so delicious. The coffees and teas were great, and of course we had to try two pieces of the cake which were delicious. Lastly, I was so touched when they brought out an alfajor for my husband who was celebrating his birthday and who grew up in Argentina, it was such a lovely gesture. It is such a blessing to see a couple who love the Lord and want to honor him with everything they do thrive in this way. I wish we lived close by so we could go all the time, but we will definitely be returning the next time we visit family in the area!

Rejoice Cafe @rejoicecafe_usa Tamarac, FL Follow @eatzwithsweetz on ig for more! Such a cute café with a wholesome Christian atmosphere which truly lifted my spirit! The owners are so nice and will make you feel right at home. The menu is full of delicious breakfast options, coffees, baked goods, and they even serve lunch. I ordered the Mateo Empanada which was filled with spinach and cheese, The Strudel which was filled with apples and cinnamon, and also a Cafe con Leche made with almond milk. Everything was so tasty. I love that the Empanadas are baked instead of fried. I can't wait to come back and try some items from their lunch menu. Rejoice Cafe offers a genuine small-town experience with exceptional service and delicious empanadas. Prepared by Ozzy and his wife, the empanadas are filled with rich, flavorful ingredients. Their friendly, personal service adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making each visit a pleasant and satisfying experience. We look forward to eating at Rejoice Cafe every time we are in Tamarac!

Rejoice Cafe is a cozy family owned restaurant in Tamarac run by a very sweet Argentinian husband and wife team, Ossie and Cristina. Seat yourself and Ossie will be by to take your order. The menu features breakfast specials, coffee and tea, pizza, home made soup, quiche, salad, meatloaf, chicken dishes, shepherd's pie, and 16 different empanadas including vegetarian and vegan, along with mouth watering desserts. I was in the area shopping tag sales and ended up here for brunch. I tried to order the quiche but by mid morning they were already out. Instead I had a Belgian waffle and frothy cappuccino. On the way out I ordered the Philadelphia cheesesteak and apple strudel empanadas to go and they were amazing. Next time I would try one of the soups with a few of the empanadas. I also want to sample the desserts like the mocha milk cake or the alfajor's. This is such a cute spot in Tamarac. You will be happy you stopped by.

In short: This food can only be explained as high end homemade cuisines I've had this spot bookmarked for a while but I had no idea what I was getting into. My assumption: a cozy little cafe serving up decent food... reality : high quality delicious cuisine in a cozy environment . The shop is small, about 8 tables max. It has a very homey feel, almost as you are eating in a friend's dining room. It is owned by a retired couple. The wife does most of the cooking, and the husband Ozzie makes the empanadas/soups and serves guests. Captain Ozzie ( he used to be a sailor) is very friendly and can explain how each item on the menu is prepared. His wife studied the art of French cooking which is apparent in all of her dishes. The price of the food is pennies compared to the amazing flavor profiles on each dish. We ordered 3 of his delicious guilt-free empanadas. He doesn't fry them and is sure to drain the grease from the beef . I'm gonna go out in a limb and say they are the best baked empanadas in Broward. I ordered some to-go for my dad to try. Captain Ozzie was thoughtful and wrote re-heating instructions on the container for my dad! Everything was amazing . I love the pride they have in their cooking and how personable they are with their guests. They made us feel like family ... and they fed us like our family would as well. I plan on bringing every foodie I know to this spot... and I'm so grateful Yelp pointed me in their direction! Another outstanding find in my back yard!

Upon entering there were a couple tables and wall bar seating. Contact was immediately made with the sole employee, Erica, who was very friendly and explained the empanada options and provided me with a togo menu. Everything sounded delish but of course I went with the spicy beef for $3.79 - which is an average price. The other menu options were Humita, Ground Beef, Chicken and Knife-Cut Beef. I paid Erica and then slight confusion and dissatisfaction set in. The all too common box pull from the giant freezer where Erica removed one empanada and placed it into the oven. Upon my interest she advised me that the frozen empanadas are sent to the store about every two days to sell. In addition, they advertise from 10 $26 to 50 $115 empanadas, "Frozen directly from the freezer to oven, without dishes, without utensils, for all tastes" for big orders parties catering ect. I get the simple concept, but do you lose the bake, oven, eat taste? They also have sweet empanadas - apple cinnamon and dulce de leche for $3.79. Breakfast too - Omelette or Guave & Cheese $3.79. Offer Vegan options too - Vegan Arab, Somozas and Spinach also $3.79. My taste decision on empanadas alone at best is average, although, the perfectly small menu and the super low prices where every item on the menu is $3.79 really entices me to rate higher than normal. This top notch bathroom (very important) was so beautiful with the quaint bench and sparkling clean. I was praying for something great to happen upon first bite into the crispy shell. Well, Erica had her sights on me after our brief frozen food conversation. The shell was very crispy and the beef was smoking hot, moist and average tasting but not very spicy. Im gonna come back with the wife for another try at this shop and try the Sweet Apple Cinnamon Empanada. A strong 3.3 star rating today and hope to update it on my next adventure here.
