I started seeing Jaclyn for physical therapy after I had surgery for a rotator cuff repair. She worked with me twice a week to regain my range of motion and strength. She listened to all of my concerns about discomfort through the process and revised my exercises to further challenge my progress. I recently tore my tendon near my elbow and was referred to physical therapy by my orthopedic surgeon. I have done physical therapy in the past at a couple other places where I felt like I was being rushed through and handed off to the PT assistants too quickly. The outcomes were not great. It made it where I didn't want to go. I knew I didn't want to go back to the last place I went to for sure. A couple of friends just happened to be going to physical therapy while I was searching for a new PT. They said ReKinected was the best place they had ever been. I called and was able to get an appointment with Michael.. (Michael and Brittany are the owners). Michael spent time explaining what my issue was and how he was going to treat it. He also explained their business philosophy and that I will only be with a fully trained, experienced, physical therapist the entire hour. They don't have assistants, so there are no hand offs to lesser trained staff. The facility is great and has a wonderful atmosphere. You can tell all the physical therapists there are passionate about what they do. My tendon tear is a hard one to treat, so I ended up having a PRP procedure and am now back with Michael. I'm really starting to make good progress. I can't recommend ReKinected enough. Michael has been great for me but I bet you can't go wrong with any of the PTs that are lucky enough to get a job there. I've been to handful of physical therapists over the years for different sports injuries and Brittany is the very best! I talk about her to anyone who will listen! She has been helping me work through a back injury and the days I see her, I feel amazing. I have had a huge improvement in my pain levels, and overall mobility and flexibility since I have been working with her. Brittany is so knowledgeable about her practice and does a great job explaining the complexity of what is going on in easy to understand terms. I have to say Brittany is amazing! I had a labrum surgery in my right hip this January and I am playing for the US U20s national rugby team on July fourth. In only 5-6 months Brittany had me at professional level again feeling better then I ever had. Without her help I would not have been able to achieve these goals. You may be asking "who's Brittany?" She is the smartest and sweetest person I have ever been in contact with. She personable, tells funny stories, and is the partner owner of ReKinected Physical therapy. She personalizes strength training, table work, and stretches to meet the needs and goals of her clients, (definitely not a one-size-fits-all kind of place). On top of this the work space in the gym is fabulous at both locations, and the staff are super friendly. My husband and I love ReKinected PT in Carlsbad and Encinitas. This is Physical Therapy as you always envisioned it to be. The Therapist works with you the whole time! It's hands-on treatment to address your specific problem. My Therapist even makes videos for me on my phone to take home, so I don't forget the exercises. I didn't think my shoulder was ever going to get better. But, I was wrong! I'm back surfing and my pain is minimal. The staff is delightful and works with you to coordinate benefits with insurance. I had intensive shoulder surgery in June. After surgery, I was very concerned about being sent to just any physical therapist, as I wanted someone who truly understood my individual situation, who was in communication with my surgeon, and who would be committed to working with me, and not pass me off to other therapists within the practice. Dr. Samagh sent me to Michael Hostegge, co-owner of Rekinnected Physical Therapy. They have two locations, one in Carlsbad, and one in Encinitas. Michael works out of both locations. The first day I met Michael, he showed me an interactive app which showed me the nerves, tendons, ligaments, etc. He explained my individual surgery to me. I have now been going to Michael for 16 weeks, and am so pleased at the communication between my surgeon, Dr. Samagh, and Michael regarding my progress. Michael is unique in that he attends surgeries when he is able, to better understand and help his patients. I've been to a few PT places and this one is by far the best. The staff is amazing, warm and friendly with highly skilled therapists who have a plethora of knowledge about the human body and what it takes to recover. I value how much time they spend with patients - staying with you throughout your appointment where other places take three people at the same time. This team even allows you to video their demonstration of customized stretches/exercises so you can keep up with your therapy between sessions as opposed to being handed a piece of paper. Brittany Revell at ReKinected Physical Therapy is without a doubt one of the best providers I've ever interacted with! I came in with severe neck pain and tension from chronic stress that was interfering with my ability to work and exercise. She not only helped massage and stretch out the muscle tension in every session, but she taught me about the anatomical causes of my pain and showed me numerous stretch and exercise routines to consistently treat and prevent further pain and injury. If you have a baby or young child who needs physical therapy, Brittany is your person! She started working with our son when he was only a couple months old, to help with Torticollis from birth, as well as a high palate and tongue and lip tie. She was incredibly kind, gentle, and thoroughly explained all the things she was doing, also showing us how to do the exercises at home. She is patient and thoughtful, and highly skilled at what she does. He continued seeing her to work on strengthening his core and neck. She helped us with tummy time, sitting, and crawling and has seen us through so many developmental stages in his life so far. We could not be any more grateful for her care, her humor, and her (very obvious) genuine love of what she does. I cannot rave harder about Dr. Brittany Revell! She is so friendly and smart, I never feel talked down to, but she can always hang with a complex conversation. She's NOT one of those PT's that plugs you into an equation and checks out. Quite the opposite! She individualizes my treatment plan every day. I'm never bored and always amazed at the new things she throws my way. I get a nice blend of hands on work and exercises. And she's so thoughtful that when I spoke about wanting to pirouette one day, she immediately incorporated strengthening exercises specifically to train for that. I am an active 50-something who slipped while walking my pack of dogs - not the dogs' fault :) - and broke my shoulder - badly. Never a great thing when the orthopedic surgeon says "You have a very rare and serious break - I've never fixed one of these before and neither have any of my colleagues!". Suffice it to say, laparoscopic surgery was not possible, I have a several inch long scar now, and after 3 months of immobilization I started rehab barely able to move my shoulder in any direction. While the pieces were put back together by my excellent surgeon, it was not completely clear that 100% return to function would be possible. I am a professional scientist with an intense job, an avid hiker, gardener, dog lover and need that shoulder to work fully! My orthopedic surgeon said rehab would take at least a year and that what I achieved within the year would be essentially the most I could hope for long term! Enter Brittany Revell at ReKinected PT!! I have been working with her 2-3 times per week for the past 6 months and while rehab has been long and at times disheartening, Brittany has expertly guided me to at least 85% function so far and I expect that, with her continued support I will get to 100% within the year! Brittany is deeply knowledgeable about human anatomy and function and guides me without hesitation through body work, stretching, and strength and conditioning. She is gentle and sensitive (absolutely essential in the early days when pain was significant) and yet confident in her touch and approach to the therapy. She clearly has a plan and introduces new activities exactly when it seems that I am ready and able to move to the next level. Brittany is encouraging and supportive and also a wonderfully open and friendly woman with whom I thoroughly enjoy spending 2-3 hours a week. My PT appointments are actually something I look forward to each week because I KNOW that without them my shoulder function would just not have improved as it has done so. Finally, I have had the opportunity to work a little with Michael Hollstegge and at every visit see the whole RKPT team in action with each other and other clients. The vibe of the office is one of professional collaboration and camaraderie coupled with obvious dedication to excellence as they practice their craft of helping people with injuries, physical limitations, and pain return to optimal health and function! I was able to see him the next day and after a couple of weekly sessions I'm now pain free and even cancelled my appointment with my PCP. I only wish I could give Rekineted Physical Therapy and my phenominal Physical Therapist Dr. Nina Wheeler more than 5 stars! My foot/toe surgery itself was uncomplicated, but because of a rare post-op infection I lost mobility, was in intense pain with swelling for many months until I started PT with Nina. In addition, I also needed therapy for secondary complications of bilateral sciatica and low back back. She researched and really pesonalized my needs for recovery. I've been under her care since February and each week I see and feel improvement. Its a slow process, but Nina's support, wonderful treatment and encouragement have enable me to not only see positive results, but that there is a "light at the end of the tunnel"! I have to say that I look forward to each session with Nina because of her warmth, professionalism and healing touch. Its an understatement to only "highly recommend" Rekinected and Dr. Wheeler for Physical Therapy ~ their office is the only Physical Therapy anyone should consider for recovery! read more

Can't say enough good things about Brittany Revell from ReKinected PT. My daughter is a ballet dancer who had a knee injury that everyone was telling her would require her to quit dance. She was devastated. We signed up for PT somewhere else, and after 4 sessions she was in even more pain. She was desperate for some hope and that's when someone mentioned Brittany to us. I took my daughter for her initial assessment with Brittany and my daughter came out grinning from ear to ear because Brittany gave her hope and inspiration that she could fix this injury and get her back dancing.
