The worst massage ever! The massage therapist was so rude!!! He was making fun of me when I requested some water, and I asked him if he could wear gloves while massaging me and he didnt!!! He started making fun of me again!!! He acted like he didn't understand English, which he did! Asian to Asian you don't treat customers like that, or to anyone!!! I was more stressed out when I left than When I came in!! I wanted to go away in the middle of the session, but I didn't and I still left him a tip!!! Got a $50 gift certificate to this place a year and a half ago but kept forgetting to look for it every time I came to the mall. The gift certificate said it expires 6 mos from date of issue but they accepted it anyway with no qualms. I was very happily surprised today. I think I got the female masseuse one of the earlier reviewers mentioned--a shorter larger woman with short hair. In general I request men as they're stronger and I like DEEP tissue. I was skeptical initially but this woman was probably stronger than any guy I've ever received a massage from! She was awesome! In 45 min she made me feel like jelly cuz she worked out all my tight knots, even the crazy ones in my shoulders that my fiancé can't get out despite nightly shoulder rubs (and he's a super strong guy!). Her style is different from what I'm accustomed to...she had short rhythmic movements but I ended up liking it because she just was so efficient! I felt like every body part was addressed in 45 short minutes. If you like a lot of pressure, you should definitely request her! I believe she said her name is Lan? Despite the tables being in a single room, no one in the center speaks so it doesn't even feel weird or disruptive that you may have a person on either side of you. This is my favorite place for a massage, (they are by Macy's)and I regularly have acupressure massages. I've consistently enjoyed effective massages here for over a year, they are wonderful! I've had relief from a sore neck, sore lower back, etc. they are very courteous and kindly ask if the pressure is okay. This massage center is located in a retail space on the 2nd floor of Twelve Oaks Mall, near the Sears. (It's not just a few chairs set out in the open in the mall; it's an actual storefront.) It is within earshot of the indoor play area, which can be a bit loud at times, but the music track does a good job of turning your attention and it's totally worth it. The location offers chair and table massage - fully clothed - in time increments starting at 15 minutes. Reflexology foot massage is also offered. I have had all 3 types of massage here, and appreciate them all. I believe there are 3 chairs, 4 tables, and 2 low chairs for foot massage here. For chair and table massage, it's wise to bring a ponytail holder/clip for long hair, but they do have their own clips they will use to move your hair out of the way. For table massage, you'll be asked to remove your shoes and belt. Your belongings are all placed in a bin under your table/chair where you can see them at all times. I love the pressure that these therapists apply, but it you are very sensitive to pressure and really want only 'Swedish style' massage, you need to be very vocal about it. (Don't be like my boyfriend who didn't want to seem like a wuss, and got beat on way more deeply than he would EVER request, just because he didn't want to open his mouth.) Stop for a moment and ask for softer, lighter touch. Saying Ow, or Ouch, will also get the point across. (If you have a problem with folks who speak English as a second language, get over it and come here anyway because they are awesome, or take your ignorant, unaccommodating self elsewhere. Cheers!) If you've never had a reflexology foot massage, this is a 'working' massage. You will feel great AFTER, and it's particularly worth it if you're a runner or on your feet a lot during the day, as they will really direct attention and pressure to areas you need it, but you're going to have to grit your teeth through some of it. As mentioned, if you *need* it to be softer, say so. The ONLY thing I hate about this business, is that the concept of queing/lining up is totally ignored here. There is no sign-in sheet, and so when there are multiple people waiting, and there often is, you have to be very proactive about policing your place in the line with fellow patrons. Since the therapists don't keep track of who is waiting, you're on the honor system and some folks have no problem jumping the line when a therapist asks, "Next?" Note: don't think you can walk away either. If you've been waiting, and you walk outside to take a phone call, you're risking new patrons who walked in while you were outside thinking that you are trying to jump the line. You or your representative needs to be present to be waiting. They'd get 5 stars from me, and more business from me too, if they'd just create a sign-in sheet.
