The service was nice but there no price guide so you really don't know what you're paying until you're done they charged me 100 for the simplest French set they have a $3 card fee that I understand but 100 just seemed too much I wouldn't recommend. The quality of my nails just doesn't seem like I should pay that much. Overall the vibe of the salon is nice but no wonder it was empty no one wants to pay this much for the simplest nails. read more

The people were very nice but the place was extremely dirty and unkept. For how much I paid it wasn't worth it. They were rough with my nails, over coated them, weirdly bumpy. I also had to ask him multiple times to paint the sides because he just didn't want to. I should have left the moment they filed my gel nails, which is not a safe method. They rushed me in and out. Just not a place I would ever visit again. read more

I have been going here since 2017. Excellent service, AMAZING acrylics from Jimmy. I have always gone to him. But I know Brenda and Anthony are awesome, too. The pedicures are really good, as well. I don't go to anyone in particular for my toes. Their prices are super affordable. No appointments are taken. Walk-in only. Cash only. It's worth the wait. read more

A very pleasant experience overall! I "walked in" without an appointment! I am traveling, so away from my salon I've been going to for 13 years! The lady who gave me my gel pedicure did a great job! I originally had an appointment at another nail salon, but they were not equipped to do the style I had asked for (I even explained what I wanted prior to making the appointment well over a month in advance). I was leaving town for my WEDDING the next morning and was virtually in tears. Luckily, one of the techs suggested this salon and I was able to call & talk to Jimmy about my dilemma. He was so accommodating and gentle. I was whisked straight into his chair and in about 2 hours my nails were glamorous AF. SHAME ON YOU! My 15yr old wanted her nails done so I let her go. They tricked her into an $80 set! Then she gave them her card to check out and they purposely charged her $90! $10 to use a card?! Depends on the day. I like the people but sometimes the prices are crazy. One time you pay $45 for a new set and then a few months later you want to get the same design and it's $65 for the fill and design. Pedicures are a hit and miss. You have to tell them to get your ingrown nails they don't just do it. They will do really good on one foot and forget you have another. But they are very friendly. Used to have great prices but now they charge you what ever the tech wants. Also a $5 fee to use your card and they hassle you for not having cash. read more

Jimmy is my go-to guy. I was recommended to him because my old girl doesn't work on Fridays. He convinced me to do acrylics...instead of my usual gels, and I was hooked!! I have been going to Jimmy for a little over a year and every set he's done for me, I get compliments from just about as many men as women. I'm simple and I only get white French tips. Every now and then I'll add some stones. I've seen him do other types of nails, especially the colored powders and ombré and he is amazing with those. I would come here again just for the cool music videos they had playing. Sure beats Rachael Ray. I happened to be in the area, and they fit me right in. I was in a rush and they did an express mani and pedi in 45 minutes. I had two technicians working on me at the same time. Prices were good. It was $28 for both. My nails looked great and MUCH better. Don't be afraid of the neighborhood. I work in the area and have never had any issues. Plus you can take Trax there. read more

The best nail salon in Salt Lake City, period. If you can think of it, Anthony and Jimmy can do it and will be happy to. I honestly love that they don't take appointments, because every other place in Salt Lake that I've been to that does never honors them and then you have to wait anyway. They make you feel welcome and genuinely care about you and they want to make sure you're ALWAYS happy with your nails before you leave. I've had the other technicians do simpler designs and they have always done a great job as well, and if I'm unhappy with something then Anthony is always game to fix it. The most talented and meticulous nail guys around not to mention that the prices are so reasonable and you don't feel like they're trying to rip you off--in fact, if you ask for something extra, they'll tell you exactly how much it'll cost before doing anything else. It's what all nail salons (not hair salons, not day spas, but NAIL salons) should be. Friendly, efficient, excellent polish, quick and cheap. I stopped in for the "fast" pedi at 6pm and was out by 6:30pm. She removed the old polish, trimmed and filed my nails, cleaned up my cuticles and removed the dead skin from my heels. A base coat, two color coats followed by a top coat and I was all set. I always prefer it when they paint my toe nails IN my flip flops and she was happy to oblige. They have tons of big photos on the windows of their nail art and designs and the woman working on me told me they do them all by hand - no airbrushing with decals and while I don't usually get this kind of thing, it was pretty impressive to look at. The chairs have good massaging, there are plentiful magazines, and it's an all around relaxed place. Minus one-star because when I first came in the acrylic smell from the fake / gel nails was very strong and it was over powering for a little while. Turns out someone had spilled some of the stuff and it was just being cleaned-up so I don't think it's a regular problem. read more

I have been to different salons near me because I didn't want to drive to relax nails and my nails never turn out like they do them here. My nails always last and never break on me. My current set is two weeks old and they still look great! I usually only go to Anthony because he does an amazing job every time. Anthony is the only one I trust with my nails. They do sometimes have a longer wait time but never too long. Definitely worth it and they are decently priced for what they do. read more

I'm so tired of the add on charge that retailers keep adding to credit card charges , 5.00 that is bull 70.00 = 1.75 would be the must the retailer is charged from banks So 3.25 is just extra income for store Work was ok shop is busy so I guess that is good But the other young ladies are spending a lot of cash to have nails done We just happened to need some motorcycle repair done on our cross country trip so we had time ( two of us ) to get hand and feet done read more

We were on vacation in Utah and my daughter wanted to get her nails done. We came here on a Sunday and knew it would be busy. When we arrived they told us 30 minutes. Not great but not too bad either. Well 30 minutes came and went and they called 3 people back ahead of us. Needless to say we walked out. I can't stand when nail places lie about how long it's going to take. Just tell me. Tell me an hour. Tell me your too busy. Have me make an appointment and come back (though they never seem to actually keep the appointments). read more

I used to frequent them for 3 whole years, and I loved them! They honestly do a good job. No cap. So you're probably wondering why the 2 stars right? Well the key word were "used to" and it's a funny lil story... I like my nails basic majority of the time, and I am also in the service industry so I always tip well. I don't believe in not tipping even if service was bad, I've given $5 for service that that made me question my stance on my lil policy. Anyways, since it's been 3 years with them I knew their prices for my usual services. That being said, I would only come in with enough cash for my set amount, tip included with a lil extra in case I wanna do sumn differently. One day I decided to change my set, n they've always just lifted, rooted, n ripped the nails up n off for removal (which would usually hurt n I always thought it was bad for my nails) But it was free so, meh. Yet this time they decided to soak my nails. I've never done this before and they didn't inform me it was gonna cost, I honestly thought it was free. (Hella slow, I know.) So with that, the price was more than what I expected n I was left to give a $4 tip. I like to tip my nail tech 10-15 dollars, so leaving a 4 dollar tip made me feel bad. Esp since I like the salon n my nail tech (who will remain unnamed.) So I left feeling horrible, but told myself I'd bring extra the next time I stop by. A month passes n I come in, with extra extra cash, you feel me but it immediately felt different. A couple of the techs kept passing me n glaring at me and my usual tech didn't want to take me. After almost 50 minutes of waiting I was finally sat. Lemme just say that thru out my appt the tech had left me sitting there by myself for over 10 minutes, multiple times. Which I was not used to, yet I told myself that they're probably doing other things. But now if I'm being honest, and I am, it wasn't any busier than I had seen it before. It was an average day. Not only that I saw my nail tech come out the back eating, twice. All the while I'm still getting glares and an uncomfortable feeling but I tell myself I'm trippin, I wasn't. It took damn near 3 hours for a FILL. I'm a very passive person about little mistakes. (I been slippin, I know) but when the tech filed my nails? It was a lil too crooked, even for me. So I asked if they could fix it. Which then, she starts speaking to the lead tech n he leaves his customer n comes talking in an aggressive tone about my nails being "perfect" n starts filing my nails kinna rough. He finishes n asks me 3 times if they're perfect enough which I replied "Yes, thank you," each time. My tech comes back after another one of her lil breaks n next thing you know I over hear the lead tech talking to his customer about how they don't like me because I do not tip well and no one wants to do my nails. All the breaks n glaring started to make sense lol. I did not speak up after hearing this, cause I felt as if they kind of had a right to be upset with me? I mean, I really liked this salon n I still felt guilty for a $4 tip! But oh do I have regrets. I am then moved n seated by the lead tech while waiting for my nails to dry. In which I recognized his customer and tried to make conversation, she did not want to speak to me. The tech for sure chuckled in front of me. I felt like I was in a High School scene n I was the kid that was invited but not expected to come. I felt very unwelcomed n my face filled with hot anger and embarrassment. Surprisingly I kept my cool, I did not leave n I still did not speak out. Remember those regrets I mentioned earlier lol. Anywho my nails dry and they charge me an extra $5. Even tho I asked for no special service, design, shilac, nothing, yet I paid it no problem. I tipped my tech $15 per my usual, then the tech whom I went to before $5 n told him it was for last time. I was polite, I thanked them, I smiled, and I left. I do not regret this. It is still one of the best spots I've gotten my nails done at in close quarters, but after that kind of treatment off of one bad tip in 3 years? I cannot. Tho I did feel guilty for my crappy tip, I do not believe I deserved to be treated that way. I have not and will not go back. Also, I know you left that file on my skin a lil too long to make me bleed on purpose. Do better y'all. read more

I hate posting negative reviews but holy moly, my nails look awful: not shaped properly (even though I asked her to keep filing at least three separate times), super thick and lumpy. I got acrylics with gel and I could tell from the moment she was doing it, they were going to look pretty bad. I hated having to pay for this. The people were all very nice and the salon was clean: maybe it was just the person I went to. Be careful. I did read a review saying only the males here do a good job and unfortunately, since they don't take appointments, I got stuck with a very bad nail job. read more

Visiting from out of town and thought I'd stop in here for a gel mani before catching my flight. I should have gone to the airport early. I get a lot of gel manicures and the steps my manicurist took were not correct! She also stabbed me three separate times (breaking the skin) and told me it was because I had a hang nail. I absolutely love this place! Everyone is so nice and helpful. They have such beautiful designs and they can do pretty much anything. You bring them a picture in they can do it. We went for my friends 21st birthday and they did her nails shiny instead of matte. The girl over heard and rushed her back in to redo it. So thoughtful. Even though we liked it shiny too but she insisted. I thought that was GREAT customer service. My nails turned out great and I love them. I like in American fork so it's a pretty long drive but I'll definitely be willing to take the trip just for them. Love them! read more

GHETTO GLAM AT ITS FINEST!!! Man, I love these type of nail salons. People speaking rapid Vietnamese, Soap Operas blasting from the Tvs, ugly air brushed designs on nails and toes. Maybe some rhinestones and glitter thrown in here and there. I got my eyebrows waxed and my pedicure ended up like this: Silver polish base, hot pink tips, swirly flower design with red, black, white, and yellow dots and swirls on my big toes: HOT. I let the guy do whatever he wanted and he went to town with this freedom. There was a language barrier, but I don't care, my toes are ridiculous. He said "very nice for spring look." read more

The water they used was cold. The pedicures do not use hot wax but instead a cold mask. Umm what? I've never had this and why would one want to have a facial mask from wal-mart applied to the feet and calves. Then we were left sitting with them on our feet and calves for 10+ minutes. Again, what? My feet and calves were cold almost the entire time. My massage chair was broken and the woman who did my pedicure clipped my cuticles too close. I love a walk-in nail joint, but if this is the one you walk past do yourself a favor and keep walking. read more

I would not recommend going here for a pedicure unless you are getting gel nails (usually turn out fine with minor flaws) but I opted for regular polish this time and it was like no one had taught this person how to paint nails. three coats of thick, uneven paint gooped onto my toes. there was maybe three minutes of dry time before she put the too coat on, creating an even more messy look. she then shooed me out of the chair without any dry time, and before I'd even left the store the nails looked like crap. Aside from the absolute garbage paint job, the leg massages feel like someone sanding your leg up and down non-stop- there's no actual massage technique. if it weren't for the massage chair i wouldn't consider it "massage included". I am now on my way to buy my own nail polish after spending $50 on an absolute TRASH pedicure. 0/10 won't go back. I wish I could put pictures in this review.

I am now fully satisfied with my manicures. I was used to getting Japanese gel manicures and NO ONE in Utah does them except affix nails. They offer Korean/Japanese gel. The quality is unmatched and Chey does an amazing job. My nails last five weeks without any chipping or peeling. I send her pictures of the designs I want and she recreates it perfectly. She has so many colors and nail accessories to choose from. The appointments take about three hours and the price is higher than other nail places but you are 100% getting what you pay for. I will keep coming back to Affix nails!! Highly recommend.

I love getting pedicure and specific the deluxe because they massage your legs and do a hot towel around your feet. A gel pedicure lasts a good 6 weeks if not more. This place is clean, plenty of parking and right next to Starbucks if you need a little drink before or after.
