It all started on July 23rd, when I stumbled upon their website online. I was excited to see that there were so many openings, and the prices seemed very reasonable. I went ahead and booked my appointment for that weekend. About an hour later, I received a text message stating that the salon was still closed due to covid and would reopen on August 1st. Cool, no problem, I get it. So I thanked whoever texted me (since no name was provided) and moved on with my life. August 1st comes and goes, and I decide I'll give it another shot. So I went to the same site I booked on previously and made my appointment for August 6th. I was receiving the confirmation emails and also received a reminder email the day before. So, the day of my appointment, I left work early and arrived right on time. The door was locked, so I tried calling the same number that sent me the text back in July and no one answered. I sat there a few more minutes, and sent a text to the number. Finally a response came back saying that they still were not open and were in the process of moving salons that very day. She said that she would be able to do my hair that Saturday and offer me a "small discount" for the mishap. All of this was fine. My wasted time, gas, leaving work early, all fine. I wasn't upset yet, because again, covid. I get it. So I was like ok cool, no problem just send me the address and I will see you then. Saturday is here and I still haven't heard from Christie/Christina/Gloria/Viola (literally still don't know her name) so I send her a text to again ask for the location. She sends me the address. I pulled up and parked. The door was locked, so I sent her another text and she told me to come to the door. I went back to the door and stood there, when I then heard someone shout from the parking lot to come to the back. So I followed her back there and we went in the back door. She never at any point introduced herself. She had me have a seat where I waited for one full hour before my hair was started on. When it was finally my turn, she sits me in her chair and starts parting my hair. All I can focus on is the fact that neither her nor the lady braiding are wearing face masks. I know that is required of all salons. So I asked her if masks were required to which she replied, laughing "aw no you don't have to wear it" . I chose to pick my battles and leave that alone for that moment. So after she's done doing nothing but parting my hair, I get into the braider's chair and she starts brushing my hair getting ready to braid it. I stopped her and was like "wait what about washing and blowing out my hair??" Christie/viola runs over and is explaining that since they just moved to this salon, the sink is not functioning, so she instead saturated my dirty hair with dry shampoo and instructed the braider to proceed. I'm just tired at this point and just calculating how much of a discount is going to be offered to me after all of these "mishaps" that kept building up. So I get in Gloria/viola/Christie's chair once the unnamed braider finishes and she does her thing. It was actually pretty quick, and I was satisfied with how my hair turned out for the most part. So upon completion, she said "you can pay just $280" I paused. "And what was the original price?" I asked. "$290". So. My "discount" for the scheduling mishap, waiting 1 hour, not getting the full service of my hair being washed and blown out, being exposed to potential covid particles, was 10...dollars. Ok. So I asked her if I could talk her down to $250 because $10 wasn't much of a discount considering all that's happened. She refused, and had me show her the payment on my phone when I sent her it via zelle. It's disappointing that this was the service I was given, because if things were different, they may have had a returning customer who has plenty of friends and colleagues to refer.

She said she wrote my phone number down wrong so she couldn't contact me to tell me the topper was in - but we had been texting, so I am not sure why she didn't look there for my number. I finally contacted her to find out what was going on and that's when she said she lost my number. She told me she's an expert, but unfortunately she sold me a product completely unsuitable for me - even though her website claims she will find the "perfect" hairpiece for her clients. She also told me she guarantees her work and I found out that was a lie. Once the topper came in, I went to the stylist that Ersolene personally recommended and the stylist said it was far too dense for me. I also noticed it was very wavy (not what we agreed upon) and completely the wrong texture for me. I asked Ersolene for a refund and she refused. She offered to thin it out, but I paid $650 for a custom topper designed for me, not an after-market, thinned out piece. I even offered to take less than 100% refund and she could keep the topper and she wouldn't even discuss it. Her business practices are deceptive and she is not at all customer-service-oriented. Once I complained and threatened a lawsuit she took her website down - which shows you just how shady this woman is. It's ok though, I have screenshots of all her dishonest claims that I can use in small claims court. I wish we could have worked something out, but she was unreasonable.
