I stopped in Chapter Book Lounge after calling to confirm they had children's books, when I needed a quick gift for my nephew's birthday. Not only was I happy to see a well stocked children's section, but they also had books with diverse characters and storylines. I grabbed two books and a card. The employee that helped me was friendly and the space was cozy and welcoming. I hope to return soon and spend more time browsing and enjoying the vibe with a good book and a cocktail.

Went because they had an event on a Sunday. Purchased tickets to check out their special tasting of their fall menu with someone doing permanent jewelry! Sounded so cool. The permanent jewelry person cancelled after the start time, which sucked but oh well. We got to pick 4 drinks to try and then got one full size. To be honest the small drinks were lacking flavor. My full size drink was great but tasted much different than the taster. They had popcorn for us to snack on and we ordered a charcuterie board, which could've used more crackers and for the price it was meh. It's a cute place and plenty of street parking.

This location has been open a little over a year and I cannot believe it has taken me this long to visit. This venue is absolutely stunning with the kindest staff! This is a place where you want to look at every single item because the selection is amazing. They have a good amount of seating and you can select a book to read while you sit and order a drink. I tried one of the espresso + vanilla iced coffees with caramel drizzle and it was truly phenomenal. They host book clubs and have a point system as well. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is a dream come true! Books, coffee, and cocktails? Yes, please! This place is adorable and beautiful inside. There are lots of places to meet friends and have a drink. Unfortunately, my friend and I just came from breakfast before we stopped in, so we did not partake in any beverages. That just means we will be back! There were many on the menu that sounded amazing. On top of their selection of many new books, I bought one for my classroom and one for myself, they also have used books to purchase. Can't wait to come back and indulge in beverages!

If they were hiring and I lived closer, I would apply to work here because I really never wanted to leave! First, the aesthetic of this place just transported me to far away places. The wooden tables of various shapes and sizes, the darker colors of the space, the color pops of books, and selection of additional book related items. This place is dreamy. On top of it all, they offer beverages, sweet treats, AND snacks. What's not to love? My only disappointment is that the space isn't bigger because (and gladly so) it was popular and packed! It was a Saturday and the reader in me felt particularly happy to see a bustling book store. Aside from this, I want to give a special shout out to Taylor who worked behind the bar. Taylor, a local author, spent time making conversation and after finding out I set out to write my own book provided thoughtful and encouraging pointers. It was the motivation I needed that day! Thank you Taylor for making my day! I want to make a point of making the drive back at least once a month because this place just makes my heart sing. That's all.

Chapter Book Lounge is a little slice of heaven tucked in downtown Noblesville. The cozy-chic space combines two of my favorite things: books and cocktails. Their book-themed drinks are so creative, "The Elphaba" even came topped with a bubble for a fun twist! The selection of new and used books makes it easy to find something to take home, and the whole vibe is warm and inviting. The perfect way to spend an afternoon!

What an adorable addition to the old town in Noblesville! It looked so inviting from the outside that we couldn't wait to get inside. Even on a Thursday afternoon, the shop was bustling with activity. The interior is very cozy, with a few comfortable chairs and barstools where customers can sit and chat. The selection of books is wonderful, featuring a mix of popular classics and up-and-coming titles, along with a great variety of used books. The staff was friendly and overly apologetic about some new stock that was taking up table space. We enjoyed a drink while we browsed, and both were delightful. They offer a fantastic range of beverages, not just alcoholic ones. This shop is well worth a trip to Noblesville!

This place is adorable! I love a cafe mixed with a library. You can sit and read with a coffee or come on a date night and enjoy a cocktail. The books are all for sale if you find something you've gotta have. All the drinks were fantastic and I can't wait to come back for more.

My bookclub was excited to check this place out for one of our monthly meet ups. My friend booked ahead online and when she got there, they did not have our reservation. Thankfully there was room for us outside because a group was booked at 630 (although we are thinking they canceled because this is how we were able to book online... seemed like some real confusion here) but if you do have a reservation, there is a $30 per person minimum. This is relatively hard to meet with a very limited menu, unless you buy a book. I had a mocktail (only 2 can options) and a slice of cake for $16. The menu had cheese boards and dessert, so hard to want to get much more when already having dessert. They do not have any "meal" options so I wish they would have let us bring in our own food since most of us did not eat ahead of time as there was no menu online to see what our options were. The charcuterie boards were $18 and probably was enough for 2-3 (cheese, meat, a jam spread, 5 crackers, and some nuts) The service was.... Not great. I don't want to say awful but the person making drinks seemed to have little knowledge of what was in them. And it was SO. SLOW. the majority of our group barely touched their drinks because they said they were disgusting. There was only one person serving us but kept talking to 2 other employees who must not have been working at the time otherwise I'm confused why they wouldn't help out. The place has a cute vibe. Tons of books & the place where you would want to sit and read or enjoy a drink with friends. There isn't a ton of seating anywhere (inside or outside) but wasn't super busy either. I was overall disappointed in the experience here in terms of food, drink, and service but at least it's a cute, local place to buy books!

I love the vibe this place offers! Cozy, intimate, and unique. It's the perfect place to grab a last minute gift too! I enjoyer the cocktails we got. Old fashioned & a French martini. The service was a little slower only because there was one person working. It was also a bit awkward because there are tables so we sat down at one waiting for a server and finally after no one came I went up and asked if we had to order at the bar and we did. It would be nice to have little signs stating to order at the bar or at the very least someone working there should have told us.

2025 is my year to visit as many locally owned book stores and coffee shops as possible. Chapter Book Lounge is currently ranked as my top fav in the book store category - and that's not the yummy cocktails talking. I had heard multiple rave reviews about CBL so my book nerd girlfriends and I came here for a Friday Eve girl date. The space is THE CUTEST - new and used books lining one wall and sitting on displays throughout, a kids book section complete with the BEST books, cutely curated book themed gifts, jigsaw puzzles, stickers - all my literature loving heart could want. Then, there were the cocktails. Chef's kiss. We tried 8-9 of their offerings between us - most from the featured menu as we were told the "seasonal" drinks were going to change the next day. Everything we had was delicious - with favorites being the espresso old fashioned, the margaritas, the martinis, and one 'spritz' type potion. Drinks were between $11-$17, which seems pretty standard these days. They also offer mocktails, coffees, and some desserty/snack options. I also want to try the bottomless truffle popcorn next time! It was super bustling and busy even at 430pm on a Friday - feeling more like a fun cocktail spot than a bookstore at that time of day/evening. We were lucky to score spots on the couch and surrounding chairs, but it was standing room only for some folks. You can join their annual membership for $100 and receive sweet swag and deals. For free, you also earn loyalty points for each purchase ($1 = 1 point, earning a $10 off coupon for every $100 spent). One thing to look forward to: CBL merch! Of note, there is no real parking situation aside from street parking and perhaps a nearby parking garage - so don't get discouraged! Cannot wait for my next visit and we hope to take advantage of renting some of the space for upcoming book club events, too!

Our book club wanted to go to a boozy bookstore for our January meeting. Chapter Book Lounge was perfect. I got the Hot to go co and it was delicious. It was so cozy and perfect. We had popcorn and sat and chatted in their lounge space. It is not a huge store and was quite crowded while we were there. The drinks and food were a little pricey but were definitely good. The service was wonderful at the store. We will definitely be back.

I have been dying to stop by Chapter Book Lounge. It's a cute curated bookstore. Most of the books they had were popular/viral books, which I think is great if you are looking for a must read. Those "popular" books are also great conversation starters so it fits with the concept of this shop. I LOVE that they had a selection of used books. We went on a Friday night around 7PM and I really had no clue what to expect. It was busy but we were still able to find a spot to sit. I do think they could use more seating but I'm not sure where? They have a variety though, couches, chairs, large tables, small two tops, and a couple seats at the bar. The drinks were good, I got the toasted marshmallow espresso martini and my husband got the bourbon mule, both were strong so well worth the money :). Overall this was a very comfortable and cozy experience. I'd love to come back earlier in the day to try some of their other non cocktail drinks.

I decided to go by the Noblesville, IN, location since I live nearby and browse the books. I found one that was really good. I take it to the front desk and walk to the first guy available. He rudely says I need to go to the other cashier who was already busy with another customer. I'm like OK. So when the other cashier was done and I told her that I wanted to purchase this book with a gift card; that's when I was forced into Barnes & Noble hell. The cashier apparently knew nothing about B&N policies, their gift card program, or even good customer service! Rather than go into specifics, this cashier tells me I could not use the gift card IN the store but had to use it ONLINE! I'm like what? You mean to tell me I have the book I want in my hand but I've got to go online to order it and pay shipping fees? She says yes and I thought she was absolutely nuts! It didn't make sense. So I press on telling this cashier I've done it before! She insists I couldn't use it in-store! I thought instantly my poor daughter who sent me the card was doing something nice for her dad and look at this stupidity! The cashier then consults the other rude cashier and he says thee same thing and I slam the book down and tell them I will NEVER shop at Barnes & Nobles again! The I call customer service for B&N and who do I get? Some Filipino 8000 miles away! I go home and do my research and nowhere on the B&N website does it say a customer can only use a gift card online. My experience at B&N changed my entire day! But while I'm on the subject of negative impressions of B&N, this new location is much smaller and there is a serious lack of place to sit and peruse the books! The chairs that are available are like those at the airport. Don't get up for a moment because someone is waiting and will take your seat since they are a hot commodity there! Also why is there a lack of technology magazines like the ones B&N used to carry? The magazine selection looks like the ones that used to be at CVS and other pharmacies! I will most certainly go ONLINE in the future to get my books. There are choices like Thriftbooks and Amazon available for my book buying rather than subject myself to the tyranny and very poor customer service of B&N.

This same kid also recently asked me to buy him broccoli so he can eat it raw. He's a treasure. I try, each year, to pre-order the books at local Indy bookstores. Support local, and all that. This year, I pre-ordered the book at MacArthur Books in The Village of WestClay. I had visited this adorable Carmel bookstore during a Yelp event a couple of years ago, and I told myself that I needed to come back. Pre-ordering my book was super easy. I called them on the phone and told them that I wanted to pre-order the book, and they took down my name and number, and told me they'd text me when it was in. I suppose, if you don't want to call them on the phone, you can stop into the store. They didn't make me prepay or anything. I'm pretty stunned that I've never reviewed this location, though I don't frequent it nearly as much since I moved into Lawrence Township. I grew up in Pike Township and this really was my location for many years. In my opinion, it's one of the most accessible of the Indy HPB locations and I've always been pleased with my experiences here. I was in this area checking out His Place Eatery and nostalgia demanded I return for a visit to this HPB. This location has two entrances. Both sides offer accessible parking, though the side facing West 86th Street is definitely more accessible. One side has a double glass doorway, the other has a single glass door. Both sides offer curb cuts, though the side facing West 86th Street has a much easier grade. For those familiar with HPB, there's the consistency you can expect - reasonably priced books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, and even some VHS. Books are incredibly well organized and there's always a nicely done clearance section. They also have novelty stuff - like t-shirts, games, etc. The employees here are always friendly - I've had multiple friends work for HPB over the years and they always praise the chain. Most, of course, end up leaving for financial reasons, however, they all remember HPB with a sense of nostalgia. On this visit, I noticed there was a local author doing a book signing. Since I nearly always support local authors, I bought his book. The aisles are always in good shape here. The store is clean. There's a public bathroom that's pretty accessible. Employees are always willing to help. And yes, you can still sell them your used books/CDs/movies. And yes, you still won't get much. I've been to just about every HPB location in Central Indiana. This one has a special place in my heart as I really kind of grew up with it. I guess you could say it's my favorite HPB in Indy. This HPB is well organized, has a wonderful selection, offers friendly and helpful service, and is likely the most accessible HPB in the society. All in all, it's a winner and it sure was nice to get back for a visit.

Can you believe it?…read more Living Truth Bookstore, a Noblesville area Christian bookstore, has been in business since 1998 yet hasn't a single Yelp review to its name. That's mind-blowing to me. Does that say more about Living Truth or more about Yelp? I dunno. Anyway, Living Truth is located in a modestly sized storefront in what looks to be an older strip center in Noblesville. It's in the same area a Rebellion Doughnuts, so you can get "hole" and "holy" all in one visit. Sorry, that wasn't even funny. Living Truth appears to be somewhat associated with a local church and seems to work collaboratively with area ministries given the abundance of signs in its windows. In most ways, they're your typical Christian bookstore with books, CDs, a variety of decorative items, videos, religious items (such as Bibles, etc.), and a fairly healthy variety of Spanish-language items. They have accessible parking directly in front of their store, though it's not particularly well marked. There is a ramp leading up to the sidewalk. The single-sided glass door is fairly heavy, but I had no trouble opening it. The woman working the counter was hospitable. Because the store is relatively modest in size, their items are packed in quite busily. While I understand packing in as much as possible, I will admit this also makes it less enjoyable to simply browse. I found myself quickly losing interest in a variety of sections. The theological leanings of Living Truth appear to go more toward the conservative side - you won't find Christian authors like Claiborne or Campolo here, though I did notice the music section had some flexibility to it with artists such as Mat Kearney, a secular artist who identifies as Christian, available here. Living Truth offers web-based ordering, a frequent shopper program, and they have a discount program for ministers. A solid option for neighborhood shoppers seeking a variety of Christian products, Living Truth had a fairly steady run of customers while I was around and seems like it's a go to spot for area persons of faith. For more information, visit its website as they have a wealth of information and a good amount of products available.

They have a children's section of fun books and gift basket/stocking stuffers. There is nothing like looking through a Bible before purchasing! I pray this store stays in business for many years to come, God willing!
