They ended up being the ones to approve me for a new car loan despite my horrid credit history back then, so the 29.99% interest was understandable. When I first signed up for the loan and before they finalized the contract, they went over my contract with me to make sure everything that was on the contract was what I agreed to. They caught a gap insurance, and extended warranty that was added on by Bayside Auto Sales in Everett without my consent. My fault for not reading the contract over before I signed it. But they instructed me to get it removed from the dealership. They saved me about $60 a month on my car payments. For the past 2 years now, I've had zero issues making my payment every month, and have had zero problems with this company. read more

This place is a joke, my husband got a car, and it was financed through here. My husband at the time was in between job sites as he work for the union and for his trade, he doesn't work a lot in the wintertime and he made an agreement with them that we would be in after a few days to pay it and the next day they had it repo and then they said we had to pay $2000 for the current payment owed, the next month's payment and the cost of the repo so we did when we got paid, a few months go by and they did the same thing and this time we weren't late on our payment but they said we were as the last time they had the car repo and we paid they never applied the money we paid for the next month's payment to his account and so when we made our 500 dollar payment not knowing we ended up being a month behind but they never told us anything and then sent the repo man out to take our car again and when we called that's when we found out everything and they wanted another $2000 for us to pay again for them to do this again and at this point we were not going to get the car back so the repo men that they sent packed the car up and dropped it off at our house but didn't return all our stuff, they stole my husband's work phone, his access badges for job sites, our St Jude pendant that his mom made and gave him, My handicap plaque for the window and a few other things and when we call reliable credit they tell us well now that you are not a client you do not need to call me for this as it is not our problem anymore and hung up on him we have had the car for almost 2 years an no problems tell a few months ago. read more

ONE STAR IS TOO GENEROUS STAY AWAY. STAY FAR FAR AWAY from this company. The irony here is that they're called 'Reliable' when they're anything but. A while ago I financed through this company. Let me tell you the various and unbelievable things they did. On one occasion, unbeknownst to me, they waited an entire month to cash the check for my car payment. So when the next payment rolled around, they took out both payments at the same time. That was to my fiscal detriment as I thought my money was counted for at the time and wouldn't you know it, a check bounced. After that I only paid with money orders. Thought that solved the problem but nope. They called me the next month to tell me my check bounced again. When I informed them I paid with a money order, they hung up. Eventually I moved out of state and informed when afterwards. They said it was a violation of the terms and my car would be repossessed if I didn't pay it off. Luckily I had the remains $3500 balance and sent a cashiers check in that amount. My intuition told me to send it verified mail so someone would have to sign for it. After a few days I checked my mailing reference number to see if the check had been received. Unfortunately I kept getting errors so I called Reliable and was told that it was never received. They informed me that I would have to continue making payments on the vehicle until I can get another check for the balance. That didn't make sense. You wouldn't allow me to make payments because I moved out of state but now I can make additional payments until check for my balance shows up? After a very stressful week of checking my reference number for delivery of the check and talking to various employees at Reliable who had the same story (check never delivered) I finally had a stroke of luck. Turns out I was entering the wrong reference number and the check had been delivered and signed for a week prior. They had the check the whole time. After relaying this information to an employee I was told someone would call me back. Someone called me that evening and said, I kid you not "We found your check in the trash can earlier today." So you mean to tell me someone threw a check for $3500 in the trash and it sat there for a week? Your garbage sits in the office for a week at a time eh? To make things worse they never even reported to the credit bureaus that I paid the car off! I filed a complaint with BBB and they responded basically calling me a liar. Fortunately I have good credit now but even if I didn't, I'd rather throat a cactus than deal with Unreliable Credit ever again. read more

Paid 9k down in March for a car the car was in the shop the first 3 months n I was making the payments...got the cat back in May and they came and repossessed it due to late payment of 10 days but the payment was in the mail when they took it when I called to ask what it took to get my car back and why they took it they said it would cost 9k to get it back and that they sent me 2 letters n they got sent back. But my address is still the same n nothing has changed....so now I'm stuck without a car being a single mom of 2 and a store manager.....I basically donated 9+ thousand to these criminals.....hope they feel really big taking from a single mom n her kids for 10 days past her payment.....will be reporting this to any and everyone possible read more

i have been working with Reliable Credit for several years and have paid off each loan ON TIME. When I paid off our last loan with them they stated that if we ever needed to return that we have been very good customers and they would love to work with us again. Last week, Wednesday to be exact, I called in and requested the smallest loan they offered - $1000.00. The lady stated that she would submit the application and let me know, AGAIN - we have been excellent customers - I didn't hear back Thursday or Friday, so i call today and the lady was VERY unhelpful and flat out stated that they do not do personal loans without collateral so I was denied. I have to say that this was a pretty crappy way to work with a very loyal previous customer. read more

I held up my end of the bargain, to make payments on time, which I did. They held up their end of the bargain, financing me auto loan with marginally terrible credit. Doesn't matter how I came to have the credit I have, the point is, I did, and had to deal with it. If you think the rate is too high, don't get a loan thru the company. If you think the customer service experiences is bad, then simply hold up your end of the bargain. Situations come up and I do realize that, however don't try to justify what went wrong, and how awful the company is. Having to make payment/other arrangements outside of what you initially negotiated and agreed to is what initially landed you on their doorstep correct? I had a car loan. I had no issues with them. Twice I called customer service with no problems.

Let's face it... if you hadn't already screwed up your credit rating, you wouldn't be working with these folks in the first place. I accept that their usurious rates are the price I must pay for the mistakes I've made. That being said, I can't say anything bad about them. It was a bit of an annoyance having to go to their Lynnwood office in person, from South Seattle, to give them physical cancelled cheques for ACH. Still, that's the only trip I've ever made there. They've reliably processed my payment, month after month for two years, without a single issue. When my pay schedule changed, a quick and pleasant phone call got my payment due date (and ACH withdrawal date) changed without any questions or hassle. They have reported my on-time payments to the credit bureaus and my FICO scores have increased about a point per month. The balance reported to the credit bureaus has been fairly accurate, as I was able to verify when I called to get a payoff balance. No one gave me any hassle when I asked for a payoff balance and the gentleman taking my call was even happy to tell me my balance calculated for specific dates, if I would like to plan around a payday. The only thing I ever hear from them is a rare mailer, perhaps twice a year, where they remind me that they have plenty more money to lend me if I'd like. For what they are, they're definitely one of the better ones to deal with. As long as your mistakes are in your past and you're making a good effort to repay, they will treat you with all the dignity and respect you deserve. If you're just looking for free money that you can default on without repercussion, though, this ain't the place. read more

Really disappointed that they lied to me. Yes I have bad credit and it is completely my fault, but they told me that they would be able to refinance my loan in 5-7 months. It has been over 5 and I was told that they can't because they don't start reporting to the credit bureaus until 30 days after your 6th payment, so 7 months! It is irritating that they never explained this and now I am stuck with this outrageous finance percentage longer than they told me I would be. It would have been nice if they had been upfront from the beginning!!! Oh and for those saying they will work with you if you call them...bogus!! My bank cut off my debit card because they were switching to MC from VISA, my payment was declined due to it and I called to see if they would reverse the late fee and was told "there wasn't anything they could do about it" even if I got something from my bank stating the problem. They seem to be much nicer to people with no credit than people with bad credit. This January I had just turned 18 and wanted to put my name on something to establish my credit. I was forced to go to a seedy dealership and use Reliable Credit. To my great surprise, they have been wonderful. They answered all my questions about grace periods and late fees up front and they were genuine and honest. I have only had one late payment and it was late by four days. They didn't charge me any sort of late fee. Really, just make your payments on time. If I worked at Reliable and had to deal with delinquent loan holders all the time, I'd be a little rough around the edges too. Thanks, reliable :) read more

I have been a customer in the past. I think I have had 3-4 loans, but can't remember exactly due to refinancing. I paid all loans EARLY. Was never late on a payment. Never. Always paid over the minimum due. Fast forward 5+ years, I am single now, and working full time making a decent wage. I got hired on from being a temp at my job first. I need a small loan to buy a car off my parents and figured even though Reliable sucks, it would be a slam dunk. I was wrong. What a headache. I applied and within 24hours they closed the application because they couldn't get ahold of anyone to verify employment. The lady I spoke with told me to re-apply and that they wouldn't pull credit again because its good for 30 days. So I did and then spoke with someone the same day and was told it would be pulled again. I am trying very hard to build me credit after leaving my ex. I have paid thousands already to old debts and feel very happy about my progress. The last thing I want is them to pull the credit twice. I told her they had better not re pull it. That is the last thing I need from them. The lady I was speaking with decided she didn't like what I was saying, put me on hold, and then transferred me. I hung up. I went to talk to my boss and she did infact verify employment....Now I got real mad. Can't they figure their crap out! I called them from my desk to be able to transfer to my boss if I needed to. The guy I spoke with, Troy, told me that he did get the verification, but couldn't approve me because the car value isn't worth the amount I was asking, by around $500. I said ok, give me what you value it as. He then said he couldn't approve me period. I mean seriously. I am talking about like $1500 that I asked for and he wanted to tell me a car that sells on craigslist for over $3k isn't worth even $1k and then says I cant even get that amount. I can have this paid in less than 4 months. I already have close to $1000 on my own anyways but don't want to wipe out my savings. AND I have always paid them on time and over the minimum and paid in full early. Honestly, I hope I never have to deal with them again. I do not need their lies and negativity. They stuck me with a 30% interest rate, working in collaboration with a dishonest auto dealer who lied about the car they sold me and forced me to write a positive review before they would sign the papers. By the time this loan is done, I will have paid more than double the value of the car. Got a 3 year truck loan at a very high interest rate through Reliable Credit. We didn't have too many issues with them other than their website being very difficult to use. It would never recognize my password and I would have to change it EVERY time I logged in. The bigger issues started at the end of our payments. So like I said, we had a 3 yr truck loan. We paid monthly, always paid on time/early, and paid our loan off early. So we decided that we wanted to trade the truck in after it was paid off and apply for a higher loan (upgrade our vehicle). 1.) They sent the title to the wrong address (even though this had been updated via phone months and months prior). 2.) They tried telling us that we would need to pay for a lost title because of this. After a bit of back and forth, they decided to send us another title (hopefully they will follow through with this - who knows). 3.) After explaining we wanted the title for a trade in, then they started being more helpful. The lady we spoke to said they could loan us up to 10k, at a slightly lower interest rate, and it would be for a 3 year loan. Great!!! So we went around and got the info they needed for the truck we wanted and let them know. They than transferred us to one of their Washington State locations. Got told that we were great customers because of always making our payments on time etc etc (this all happened on Thursday). We were told that we should have an answer by Friday morning. We called them and the request was still processing and they said they would call us back. Waited 3 hrs and decided to give them another call. They answered and guess what.... Our loan was DENIED! We thought we were going to be able to get a vehicle today (which we need really bad) and wasted 3 days trying to work with these people only to be denied the loan COMPLETELY. They won't loan us anything. Even with having a higher income and being their customers for three years. I can understand if we missed payments, but this is how they treat their good clients. For real! I am still just blown away. Terrible customer service. We planned to use them for all future vehicles. Never again. I guess they really don't understand how important repeat business with them is. Especially when they already have such low ratings. You would think they would want to keep their paying customers happy, but no, they'll screw you over at the first chance they get. Beware and try getting a loan through someone else. I've called them twice. When I finally paid, they wouldn't take a debit card stating that "we aren't set up to do that". From the looks of the other reviews on here, I am not the first to be disgusted with the staff and policies at this ripoff of a company. I went in to pay off the rest of my husband's loan (at 25% interest!!), and the people were completely unprofessional. He'd previously had nothing but trouble with them, so I knew this would not be an easy visit. The ladies at the front desks ignored me when I walked in, I had no idea where to stand or who to talk to. When I finally did get someone, she and the lady next to her were making jokes with each other the whole time (meanwhile I had a $6k check in my hand that I was not looking forward to giving to these people). The person who "helped" me had to make about four phone calls to understand how to process my cashier's check into his account, and they had told my husband a higher amount to close the account than was actually needed. They didn't bother refunding me the extra there, they said they'd send it in the mail - the check was delivered by ME, yet they sent it in his name). My husband's cashier's check for his most recent payment was still in the mail to their company, but somehow it took a week or more to reach them from when he had mailed it. He had to keep calling to see when they had received it so they could mail it back. The guys at their desks behind the ladies looked like absolute scammers, a stock broker "sell sell!" attitude with the slime of used car dealers. Do NOT deal with this place. read more

My car is crapping out and I'm tired of putting more into the car than it's worth. So I decided to pay off my loan more quickly and trade this in on a different one. I paid $1000 last week and tried to pay off the balance today. I called them and asked for the payoff amount and went online to do so. I found out that you can't make more than $2500 in payments to Reliable in a 30 day period. I called them back and they confirmed it, but did say that if I came to their physical location, I could pay it off there. So, the next day, I drove nearly an hour north to their branch and enthusiastically talked to someone at the front desk of this "broiler room" looking set up of a loan office. She re-stated that I could not make the payment at that time. I told her a gentleman on the phone told me I could in the store. She said, "Oh, you can, but cash, not a credit card." Would have been nice if they told me that over the phone. Shark interest rates, horrible customer service. Will NEVER work through them again and highly advice no one else to, no matter what your credit, find someone other than "reliable" credit. read more

Everything is electronically tracked in terms of payments and payment history so I'm uncertain about how they would be able to lie and ruin credit etc.. Not saying anybody is a liar, just making an observation. Pertaining to high interest etc.. yup, thats what is likely going on and you likely knew that, and the reasons for it so there's that. When you call after hours the messgage even tells you if you make early, and/or extra payments you will take the principal down faster. Here is the deal, use this place for what it is worth.... A high interest, subprime lender. In no way shape or form should you go into this "Boiler Room" expecting to get good customer service. My Experience: Lets just say I was thankful for this place at first... After all they gave me a loan when no one else would, at a whopping 19% interest. I recently totaled a car and went in to get the payoff amount for the loan, as I and my insurance company had reached an agreement. I was out of a car, had no printer, and needed a notary, and I thought since they were so kind maybe they could print them for me. Wrong. After walking 45 minutes in the rain and asking first may I use their on staff notary to sign the documents reconciling an account I had with them, an account I paid on time, every time, at 19% interest, I was met with a blank stare as if I was an inconvenience. Finally the manager walked over and was polite, and actually agreed to notarize my documents. Here is where it went bad: I asked if they could print one more document for me and I was told no, that for security reasons they would not allow any thing like that. Well I happened to have worked once for a year or so at a billion dollar international banking company called Bank of America. I printed many documents for my customers on multiple occasions. So, why in my right my would I walk into a place I have walked into for the past 16 months, where they have my current address, current employer, social security number, and try and hack the identities of their sub prime borrowers who can barely get a credit card with a $100 limit??? I don't know... But Im pretty sure Bank of America is more worried about their customers then you. Fine. Next I asked if I could get a statement with the payoff amount and again was looked at like I was asking them to give me the theory of relativity. She fumbled her words seemed confused, which made me confused as to why I was again given grief for asking something so simple, something I am entitled to know, I am a customer. After I asked the manager about how I could use them to purchase another vehicle, her word, "what do you mean," and again were traveling down this road of confusion. She was short as I, her faithfully 19% on time every time customer, just wanted information about possibly financing my next vehicle with them. Its ok, I wont be back. So upset, in the last 6 months of making payments with them it's been fine. Mike from reliable credit called me and explained to me what seemed to be a great opportunity to apply for a loan. So they did a hard pull from my credit, the only reason i let him pull my credot was because he told me that if you would like to cash out on this loan, you can come to the office and sign off on it and you can do what tou please qith it. He then asked me what I will use this money for, I told him that I eventually will be utilizing it to purchase a new CVT Transmittion to help on the cost, because I got sold a bad/lemon car. He did not mention that this loan amount would be categorized under repair loans and that they would have complete control of the loan, and would have to utilize the loan within 30 days. Who in the F*** can just put out $4000 in less than 30 days to a repair when you are not ready for such a large purchase repair. Do not fall into this like I did. After years of trying to repair my credit and finally making strides to see improvement they just came in and less than 24 hours all that work for absolutely nothing. Do not work with this company. They informed me that I was fully approved for a loan after sending in every document, including my two most recent pay stubs that showed me as a commission employee, as they requested to them for verification for the loan. I made sure to verify the loan had been approved and the requested documents verified because I did not want to spend the money registering a car I could not get a loan on. Well, my worst nightmare ended up becoming a reality. They told me to go to the Department of Licensing to get them registered as the lien holder and myself as the registered owner and bring that registration to signing. So after paying almost 1,000 in registration and taxes, I get to their office and the manager comes over and told me they could not approve my loan AFTER GETTING A FULL APPROVAL IN WRITING from them and being instructed to pay the registration and taxes. I explained that I was fully approved and asked how this could happen and they told me they hadn't reviewed my income documents, but now that they had... they changed their mind. I am now out almost $1,000 and when I asked them what I am supposed to do about the money I paid to register the car and they told me I would probably have to eat it. I could have un done this potentially, but it was the end of the day and the department of licensing was closed and I could not reverse the registration or get my money back. I am now out 1,000 and obligated to purchase this vehicle because it is now in my name and no longer in the actual owners name. This is quite the mess they have created for me and they really do not seem to care that I am taking a pretty significant loss because of their negligence. read more
