After purchasing the vehicle about 3 hours later, the door handle broke. It was obvious that it was glued on and also found that the oil was low. She returned the next day and was told the sales person wasn't there and to come back in a couple of days, Thursday. I saw this guy driving a 2011 Subaru from this place on Everett Mall. The price for the car was still on the windshield and the listener plate frame said Lang Auto. This person was on his phone the whole time from The Target on Everett Mall way to 112th where he made a right. He was weaving, taking up two lanes and he stopped past the intersection and into the pedestrian walk way. The bus was taking a left turn and it couldn't make the turn completely because of this clown. After a full day of shopping the used car circuit on highway 99 we ended up at Lang looking for a solid Japanese car with less than 125k miles and for a good price. We came away with a 2011 Mazda 2 and it was in great condition(114k miles)! RON was a fantastic dealer and even stayed a little late after closing to seal the deal! Ok. So we drive two hours to look at a car that was supposed to be in great condition. It was not. Pushed my finger through the corner panel where the rust had eaten away the metal. No coolant in the vehicle. It had water in it and even that was almost gone. The car had been wrecked. Front end was hanging off. Doors did not lock. Keyless entry did not work. Dealer had posted as a individual on Craigslist. I am sure that was to avoid paying any fee. Typical scammer behaviour. When I showed up I was accosted by the rudest sales person I have ever dealt with. He told me he was not responsible for the ad. That his boss posted it and used his cell phone number. Again this is to avoid paying the fee dealers are required to pay when posting on Craigslist. When we pointed out that the car was not as represented the salesman told us if we didn't like it to go buy a new car. He was rude, nasty, abrasive, and not the kind of person I would ever want to give my money to. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership. Whatever they tell you is going to be less then honest. Any legitimate dealer would not be scamming to post Craigslist ads. How cheap can you possibly be? Someone else may be happy with the car they bought but we decided to find a dealer who was not trying to pull a scam to make our purchase. Try going across the street or to the lot next door. Any place but this one. Scammers. Liars. Rude. Shame on me for not doing my due diligence but shame on Lang's for not being upfront when working with a mother and her son trying to find the right car for a young driver. Ron was very personable and friendly but, now looking back, it felt shady that, the entire time we were there, the owner of Lang's was at his desk with his back to us, not turning around once to introduce himself as we were buying a $13,000 car from him. This car was roughly $6000 more than it should have been, based on the Blue Book value that we checked on later, even though the Blue Book value I was shown at the time seemed to align with the price tag. This car looked immaculate for a 2005 with 150,000 miles. However, within the first week, the car stopped while my daughter was driving it to school: in the middle of the road. This was scary and unsafe. When I called back, they either feigned not remembering who I was or didn't actually remember and I was told there was nothing they could do about it or help with. I was then told by my Subaru mechanic, who we've been working with for years and who we trust, that the car was sold off auction and that the brakes, transmission and many other aspects of the car needed work. We have had the car a little more than a month and have already sunk $2000 into it to fix the transmission and brakes. Finally, the lug nuts were locked but we were never given the key. The tires are worn. There will be about $1200 more in costs coming to make it safe enough for my son to drive. Live and learn. read more

I was not thrilled about shopping for a new car (the joys of uninsured motorists totaling my tracer...but anyways...). I had gone to a few other lots and their inventory was sub par and sketchy. My mechanic has purchased a few vehicles from Lang and it turns out my beloved Tracer came from here as well. Greg greeted me on the lot, showed me a few cars in my price range but none of them made me fall in love. Then came the Subaru. I am not a Subaru person (or at least that's what I thought). It was double what I wanted to spend, but this Legacy had to be mine. Greg was awesome. We worked out a rockin' deal, got approved for a loan and two days later that car was mine all mine (well and I guess BECU's...but that's a different review). My car has new tires, two beautiful new headlights installed by mister fix it Johnny, and drives like a dream. So I guess what I'm saying is these guys are awesome. I've had the pleasure of "dealing" with Greg, Johnny, and Darren and they all made me feel comfortable and respected (not always easy as a female shopping alone for a car). I had a budget, and they worked with me on it better than the 4 other dealerships I went to first. Do Not buy a used car from this dealership.! They sold me and my daughter a 2008 mazda in Jan/early Feb. Within weeks of ownership it lost power and almost left myself and my daughter stranded. On first diagnoses it revealed a cylinder misfire and probably a fuel pump problem.( An expensive fix), as well as sensor problems and the spark plugs were so bad that we were told it's amazing it was running.! We still are trying to get to the root of the problem as we can't drive it and we can't afford a big garage bill. I contacted them and left 2 emails and no one has bothered to address this. They obviously did no service on it before putting it up for sale and in this day and age dishonesty and blatant disregard makes my blood boil. 1. Craigslist ad did not list this Subaru Forester as dealer-seller, which meant it bypassed my Craigslist search specifically for owner-sellers. Others here have had the same complaint. 2. Mileage was not indicated in the ad, which also meant it slipped past my criterion of under 125k miles. 3. I stated several times in texts with Ron that I would not want a Subaru with 150k miles on it unless the head gaskets had been done (a major repair usually needed by higher-mileage Subarus). He sounded very friendly and assured me they had been done, then sent me a Carfax that showed other gaskets but not the head gaskets having been done. Aside from his friendly tone, he and Lang Autosports could have been a lot more forthcoming in their post and in their responses. I was on Craigslist searching for a used Subaru Outback on Friday. My buying preference was to purchase directly from a car owner due to generally being more fair deals than buying from a dealer. My eye immediately caught a posting on a great deal on 2012 Subaru Outback. Within 1 hour of the posting, I sent a text to the owner inquiring for more information and requesting to set up a time to view it. I received a response within a few hours, from Leon, who noted that this car was at Lang Autosports in Lynnwood, WA. I was originally leery due to the bad reputation that used car salespeople have and because the ad had been posted under for sale by owner, but I could not resist following up to come in for a test drive since the price was amazing. When I arrived at Lang Autosports the next day, my husband and I were warmly welcomed by all the staff. I asked for Leon, a very cool old school kind of guy, who introduced himself and he promptly pulled out the Subaru Outback. We visually inspected it and took a 15 minute test drive. We were impressed that the car was in such great shape and drove well (no bait and switch tactic!!). The following Monday, I got preapproved for a car loan through my credit union, Qualstar, which Leon had confirmed that they already have a relationship with for car financing. The next day, we picked up the car to do a buyers inspection. Lang Autosports provided a copy of the CarFax which showed an excellent maintenance history. However, a few issues came up in the inspection report which we discussed later that day with Eric. Eric was extremely helpful with explaining the fix. He took us outside, started the car and opened the hood to fully educate us on the issue. He took extra time to make calls to Mr Lang and an autoparts store to support how the issue can be resolved more cost effectively than what was estimated on the car inspection. We were very appreciative of the knowledge shared and confirmed that we would like a day to absorb this all in and follow up the next day (no stronghold tactics!!), This morning, I called Lang Autosport to inform them that we would like to make final negotiations on the car. I spoke to Sam who relayed my offer to Mr Lang. Just minutes later, I got a return call confirming that Mr. Lang accepted the offer. We drove back to the dealership. Sam greeted us. Sam was not completely familiar with the Cuddle system, and was having some issues with inaccurate sales tax reflecting. Sam made a call to Eric to let him know that we were there and needed his assistance. My husband and I relaxed in the mild, sunny afternoon weather, and Sam was gracious to wash my pending car as I requested, while we all waited for Eric to arrive. Upon arrival, Eric, I, and my credit union, worked on the purchase order and getting the paperwork signed electronically in order to get the payment processed. While finalizing the deal, Eric was very personable and friendly. As we closed the deal, he told me to let him or Leon know if there were any other services or repairs in the future that Lang Autosports can assist with, as he has an extensive network of folks in the area who could give me a fair pricing. Today, my husband and I drove home a new (to us) 2012 Subaru Outback!! And it was an EXCELLENT deal. There was no swindling, no gimmicks, no "confusion". My daughter and I bought her first car here and the very next day the car broke down. We took it to our mechanic to find out they had put some sealant on the head gaskets long enough to test drive the car - the head gaskets were ruined so we had the mechanic fix the car and then got it back home - she drove it for about 3 days and then the car would not go out of gear at all - we think now the transmission is bad. Lang Autosports, Lynnwood, WA sold my son a $5000 vehicle that we found out needed $4500 worth of immediate engine repair!!!!! My son and I came in to purchase his first vehicle in January 2016. It was a Jeep Liberty, that we paid $5000 cash for at Lang Autosports. We took the vehicle home and within 24 hours noted it was leaking power steering fluid. We took the vehicle back immediately the next day prior to the 72 hour time limit for return on purchase. Namma Lang (owner) assured us he would have his repair shop Henry's Auto, Lynnwood fix the vehicle. Two weeks later we get the vehicle back. They had kept the vehicle because they stated it had a head gasket leak he wanted to do the right thing by repairing it. Within two weeks of receiving the vehicle back, it began leaking oil through the valve cover gaskets, which should have been included in the head gasket repair initially. They took the vehicle back again for another two weeks and still no repair. We received it back with the check engine light and leaking valve cover gaskets. We have since had the vehicle repaired at a reputable at the cost of $4500. Namma Lang has not responded to our written requests for the repair. We now have no other choice but to take legal action. Went here on Saturday 4/28. Let me just say STAY AWAY!!!!! Horrible service! I test drove 4 cars, 1 almost broke down while driving(bad alternator when AC was turned on) this was a Mazda Protoge, the black Subaru Legacy had the power steering out couldnt test drive, the 1997 Civic was burning oil just from running idle! I test drove the 1999 Accord. It was decent but lots of cosmetic issues. Watch out when negotiating All the salesman here are slimeballs and gang up on you during price negotiations. The manager(the tallest skinnier guy there didnt introduce himself he just started being aggressive) would not budge on $7000(you can get for 4000-5000 on craigslist and auto trader) and would not agree to let me take to a mechanic prior to purchase .I was negotiating with Don (salesman) and he was below average but did try to negotiate but to no avail once the manger had to start being rude. I go to the dealership and the salesmen said it was for sale but for $6,400 so obviously they don't know there own pricing. Next I take the car for a test drive and to be inspected and while the test drive was smooth the inspection was not it needed 3,500 dollars in repairs!!
