Update: Roof was finally repaired last week. The new roofer provided the attached pics - this is the original flashing from 2006 that Lorenzo didn't replace but was paid to. The second pic is the copper the new roofer installed (the same work that Lorenzo was referring to in the text message string). The new roofer also confirmed that was one source of water leaking in my attic. He also found another leaky section where the roof was caulked instead of flashed. More cutting corners. These resulted in water leaks in my attic, entry way and garage. And in response to Lorenzo's comment on what's included in the 30-page insurance estimate - flashing is on the list, including step flashing, which my new roofer commented was completely original and not replaced when Mr Reliable replaced the roof. Another thing he was paid for that didn't get done. READ YOUR ESTIMATES CAREFULLY - I didn't and Lorenzo took full advantage. Bottom line, my out of pocket cost to fix what Lorenzo didn't was $2,700. This doesn't include the dry wall repair and painting still needed in the interior. Not to mention potential mold remediation. If you're read this far - move on. Find someone else. read more

When I originally booked with Reliable, I was pretty confident in my choice. Unfortunately, there were too many issues for me to give a good review. We were given one day's notice as to when the material was being delivered. It then took over a week to side and soffit my one story ranch house. Too many times his crew told me they were going to lunch, but they never returned. I later found out that he pulled them off of my job to go to another job. And they had my soffits open to the elements for 5 days! They sided right over my dryer exhaust. They did an abortion with my electrical outlet at my front door. (I'd love to post pictures). At the time of doing the estimate, Lorenzo told me that he would replace 2 sections of shingles that were needed on the back side of my roof. That never was even attempted to be repaired. Then, when they left a section of wall exposed, with no siding under an eave, a large raccoon got into my attic, causing me to hire a trapper to get rid of it. This was just a few weeks after "completion". When I asked for reimbursement, he told me that he's not responsible for it. I could understand if the raccoon tore open a section of siding, but it entered my home at an area where the siding was omitted. Then, upon the first big rain, discovered that there were two areas that were done wrong causing water to leak intro my house and run all the way to the basement, damaging my wood floors and wetting all my insulation on the way. He did send out people to correct that, but then the cold weather came and I still am not confident that it was repaired correctly. Spring will tell. Well, I now know that he's neither responsible nor reliable!! As I will need a new roof in the next year or two, I definitely know who I am NOT calling. read more

I recently had work done on the low slope area of my roof by reliable exteriors because my roof was leaking. I had a leak in the fall and had my dad just tried to tar around an exhaust vent that I thought to be the source. But over winter, ice dams built up really bad on the low slope part of my roof and I experienced more leaking. I got a quote from a different roof company first and it made my jaw drop. I didn't think I could afford to get the roof fixed. Then I decided to get a second option and emailed Lorenzo. He was very nice, quick to respond to emails and the quote was so much more affordable than the first. I was very happy with the entire process. From quote to finish. We were referred to Reliable Exteriors by my daughter's in-laws, who were extremely happy with the roofing project Reliable Exteriors had completed for them last year. Lorenzo responded the same day that I called, and made an appointment for the next day. I got a bid from him for a new roof and gutters which I thought was very fair (based on research) with quality materials. He kept us informed of his schedule and when we would fit into his calendar, which was a couple weeks after the bid was accepted. The roof was removed and replaced in one day, and the gutters were installed the following workday. The whole project came out beautifully. A couple other things I appreciated---when he gave me the bid, he also brought to my attention a couple of hard-to-see items on my house that he suggested I should get taken care of---items that had nothing to do with his project (and therefore was not going to make him any additional money). And when the project was finished, Lorenzo did a final inspection and found a couple of small errors made in the instillation of the gutters. These were errors I (and, I believe, most people) never would have spotted, but he brought the crew back out and corrected the errors. I really felt like he took as much care on this project as if it were his own house, and we are entirely satisfied with the whole experience and results. read more
