Stay away from this company. They have zero customer services skills. They lie almost about everything and anything. They don't take accountability for their mistakes. They mistreat customers even the owner is an a$$hole! I would have rather get my $ back than finish the project with them. Took over 5 inspections for a simple pergola to get completed. Over 5 months process when they said it would take only a couple weeks and only 1-3 days to install. Completely false. Took over a month to be completed once they got the city permit and material. The company has zero communication skills and zero quality control management. They claim to be in business for a long time but their work lacks experience and zero professionalism. Stay away and avoid yourself a headache. The worst, like I mentioned above, was the supposed owner, Dylan. No wonder his employees don't work well, he probably doesn't treat them well as he doesn't treat paying customers well. The one person in the company that communicates is a guy in accounting, Jose, he will send you an invoice a day before is actually due and call you 24/7 for payment even if work is not completed or done properly. Trust me when I say that it was a complete nightmare to deal with them since the moment they received the city permit and then waited to order the material. Not worth it. Even if their price is better go with some other company that knows how to deal with paying customers. We never missed a payment and in some cases paid before even having the job completed. And they still didn't give us the respect or the curtesy of an email or a call with an update about our project. They will probably go on my review and make up a lame excuse or blame their supplier like they constantly did. Don't believe them. I've been a homeowner for 20+ years and have done several home renovations and projects. I've never encounter such a poor customer service. The worst in south Florida. read more

It's been a while since we needed roofing and shutters. I looked up on Google and saw these "people" again. Horrible company to deal with. Bad memories. They get one star because they actually finished their job after months of nickel and diming, and not doing things the way they said they would. They should change their name to UNreliable. Don't expect to ever pay what their original estimate says. The owner is the top of the rudeness totem pole. Every department of this company is a fail. They are such beta people. They are truly passive aggressive. Maybe they used to be better a long time ago and got such a high review rating, but now they were last bitter not better. Don't complaint if you hire them. You have been told how it is. If you don't believe this, look at the other 1-star reviews. You better like how and when they do things or they will treat you as an enemy not as valuable customers who contribute to everyone at the company having food on their tables. Reliable Shutters and Screens is in no way Reliable. From the start there was one problem after the other. From: Installing the wrong structure. Taking down and waiting for the correct structure. Inexperienced messy workers. Sloppy, shorty and poorly finished work. Months of waiting Scheduled appointments that require someone to be home from work, causing loss of income, most of them no shows. Months of littel to no workers at all. Language barriers Excuse after excuse. Delay after delay The list goes on. It has taken almost two years to completion. I paid my final check just to be done with them. Beware of them!! They raised their prices twice and dealing with a nasty owner that tells his staff to tell clients he is out of state all the time. He didn't pass inspection the first time and left me with a hole outside my door for 6 weeks! They put it writing that they would complete the pavers that could not be done because the hole was there for such a long time. He held up my pool and patio. He demanded final payment even though he didn't complete the pavers and threatened to put a lien on my house! I asked him not to bother me anymore since I did pay him and he still does. read more

I wish I could give this company 0 stars because of their shady business practices bordering on extortion. We signed a contract with Reliable and after getting HOA approval, engineering plans and permitting with the city, they came back and wanted more money - over & above the contracted price because they said the price of the materials had increased. Why didn't they factor that in when they wrote the contract? When we said we are not going to pay more than contracted price, they canceled our contract under the auspice of waiting too long for the HOA approval. They said no word about this when they accepted our HOA approval four months prior and proceeded to engineering and permitting with the city. The reason it took 8 months to get the HOA approval was because the drawings they provided me were inaccurate & provided no information on materials and design for the HOA to make a determination. I had to redraw the patio cover on the survey & research Renaissance products to provide enough information & pics for the HOA. Why did they not cancel our contract when we first got it our approval? Or before they spent our deposit to go to engineering and permitting? They seem to be waiting to spend up all of our deposit of $1850 pass the point of no return before extorting more money over and above the contracted price. Now, we have to hire an attorney to sue them for a deposit back. Buyer beware of this company's business practices. read more
