This business has no ethics whatsoever. I had called for a tow service in Pound Ridge to extract a vehicle. The price quoted was $950 and had to be paid in full before they would send a tow truck. The quote was signed amd the amount paid. Subsequently I waited 3 hours for service when the yard was 15 minutes away. They kept saying 'leave the line open', and ' the driver is on the way' and then after 3 hours they informed me that he was having troubles with his tow truck and they could send another tow truck bet there would be an additional charge of $1,200 that needed to be paid. Isaid they could either do it for the original price or refund the charge by crediting my credit card. Theyputvme on hold and thennsaid they could credit the card but there would be a processing fee.
I told them to waive the fee or I would take them to small claims court if they tried that nonsense.
They agreed to credit back the card and refused to perform the service for the agreed upon signed proposal. I told them it was a classic ' bait and switch ' business model.
If I could give them a negative star it would be too kind. Avoid them like the plague. read more
