I had talked to MULTIPLE brokers, sales agents, and scammers and I was getting pretty frustrated that no one could match my budget and everyone was making me promises that they for sure could not keep. Plus they KEPT CALLING MY PHONE. But I contacted Outbounds and Sabina, our broker, helped me out so much. She was extremely diligent and answered all of my many, MANY calls and questions. Not only did she match my budget, but she also made a special exception to give the 100% of the payment directly to the driver without the brokerage company taking a cut. This resulted in my brother's car arriving one and a half days EARLY with absolutely no damages. Our driver, Zukhriddin, was EXTREMELY professional and, even though there was a language barrier on both our ends, he worked with us to answer all my brother and dad's questions. He pulled out his translator app and was very patient with them. He was phenomenal and so was Sabina. Outbounds is a GREAT company to use for first time car shippers- I was super nervous about this entire experience but they made it so much easier for me and my family. The last thing I will say is that, if you are looking to vet out these car shipping companies, use two websites: Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Also, I will say that from my personal experience, I enjoyed speaking to a woman broker and having her handle my case. It was my first time doing this and she was very refreshing to talk to. Most of the salesmen I had spoken with before were either rude or condescending and I got the feeling they were just trying to sell me on any price point possible. I really do recommend this company, and, most of all Shout out to Sabina and Zukhriddin! They were so kind, patient, and professional. Outbounds- if you're reading this - GIVE THEM A RAISE!

But they were efficient and easy to work with. I would NOT recommend that you have these guys crate/store ANYTHING for you, though. I had them store my entire (fancy, expensive, modern glass) dining room set (table, chairs, sideboard, carpet, huge picture) as well as an art glass fountain during a move from a bigger to a smaller house in 2015 and I've been paying monthly for that storage since then. Now I am back in a bigger house in 2021 with a dining room large enough to accommodate that furniture. When they brought it out of storage, it turns out that they: 1. Didn't crate the glass leaves of my modern Italian dining room table. They were wrapped in movers blankets for warehousing. One of them came back intact. The other came back in a bazillion pieces. This is a table that is no longer manufactured. 2. Didn't crate my art glass fountain. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and a movers blanket. When it was unwrapped, it was in pieces as well. This is a fountain that was purchased at a gallery in Hawaii and is a one-of-a-kind, irreplaceable piece. The artist is no longer active. 3. My eight dining chairs were wrapped in movers blankets and then stacked in such a way that they came back with the seats all smashed and with strange marks on them from what I must imagine were cords or ropes holding them down. They need to be repadded and reupholstered. I had to file a claim with them and I finally received their settlement offer after about 6 weeks. Is it making me whole? Yes. Am I angry that this happened in the first place? Yes. Am I leaving a Yelp review? Yes.

The packers were friendly, efficient, and, so far as I can tell, good. The problems I have experienced are with the admin. THEY are supposed to call me to inform me of what's due, what's going on with my stuff, etc. But only once has any of them called me without me calling to remind them. And then they give vague answers. As directed, when I purchased a house in another state, I called them to set a delivery date for my stuff but that date has come and gone. I am in a new house, sleeping on the floor and feel like a hostage. I can't get a straight answer out of them. Last time, she said, "Your stuff is on the truck and has been since July 3." WELL?!?! "I'll call you." That has come and gone and here I am, still without anything. I cannot urge you to stay away from this company enough. DO NOT USE INTERSTATE!! You may be the lucky one (more likely if you are military and being served by a federal contract) but you might not ever see you household stuff and memories again.

Once being notified by the police department I got their information to call and check up on it. Of course, all of this happened while I was out of town for work and I had a lot of conversations via the phone to coordinator efforts to get my vehicle to the shop to get it on the mend. When I called initially they informed me of where the vehicle was found, the state of the vehicle and where it was at the moment. In between calls with Big Tow I was in contact with my insurance company. They went and inspected my vehicle and in the meantime I had to set up transportation from their facility to the shop. All while being out of town. I was surprised with how easy it was to do. All I had to do was call and give verbal approval to move my vehicle or else it would all have to wait until I got back from my work trip. It was rather smooth and I appreciate them being careful enough my damaged vehicle.

We already called the police on the matter who said they would mediate if they don't return the car. If we still have to pay we will be taking them to small claims court. They are predatory with a reputation apparently for damage and theft. This is disgusting and they need to be held accountable. We will not be letting them get away with this. I received a call back from who I believe is the owner or manager over the phone he asked me to send pictures which I did. i explained I need this transaction to be no more than $1000.00 and I was assured by him it wouldn't be more than $1500. I explained that if we needed to remove some items to keep the cost low we would be willing to do so. Knowing my budget was of great concern he explained once he had eyes on the items at the storage facility he would give a more accurate price quote. He then told that There was a shipment going out in two days and he would like to have my items on that ship. My initial response was that is such short notice I don't think I can do that. His response was he would give me a 10% discount if I were to make that shipping date. I then agreed to have my items ready for pick up on that Sunday Sept. 14th (we were on the call that Friday evening Sept. 12th). I was able to scramble and arrange to have my items ready for this two day notice pickup. They came to pick up the items however the representative was not there to confirm the cost as I did not receive a call from him as he promised. He purposely was not there so he did not want to give me a price. If he had quoted me $2869 of course I would have said NO and went with a different company. He waited till they had my items in their possession. This is when all the foolishness took place. I received a call on Monday from the office stating that my invoice was ready and they had sent pictures of the items wrapped up on pallets. To my utter disbelief the invoice was $2869. I told the woman on the phone That is not what we spoke about on the phone, your rep. said it would be no more than $1500. She said no and that if I wanted I could pay the rest in two weeks. I told her I don't have that all I have is $1500 and she said she would take that payment. I didn't understand what was happening so I reluctantly agreed. This company is trying to extort me by holding the items and demanding more money than what was originally discussed. I was taken advantage of me they knew I had a budget but still tried to squeeze money out of me. They are current holding my items hostage at the shipping yard in Jamaica 10/8.
