This was about…read more10-15 minutes from campus (downtown Dahlonega) I attended a wedding of my friends Katherine and Chris at the winery - honestly I didn't taste any of the wine (yes I know, bad) but enjoyed myself. The venue is pretty spectacular with great views of the surrounding hills and valleys along with the vineyards as the hang of the side of the mountain. There were two aspects that pushed my opinion down a bit, neither are really the fault of the venue or business so I've stayed with the 5-stars. The wedding was held in an outdoor pavilion with great views, but during the first week of August quite hot. There are ceiling fans but they didn't help too much - I was sweltering in my jacket and tie by the time the ceremony ended (just be aware if you book something here during the hot season). The second, there are a lot of stairs as you are on the side of a mountain. If you have a hard time traversing a lot of stairs, there are other means of getting around so once again be aware. The main "hall" has windows with fantastic views. I thought the food was exceptional and wish I had taken more photos, but there were a lot of poor lighting (I was seated next to the dance area). My apologies for the missing check in and the lack of photos but I didn't want to be obnoxious at a wedding. Overall I love the rustic charm of this place and plan to return and more fully explore the wine offerings. I thought the service was exceptional with very accommodating staff, especially the bartenders.

Before we were even seated, we were told that if we didn't place our order within five minutes, we would not be served. We hadn't sat down, hadn't seen a menu, and hadn't been greeted properly yet we were immediately met with pressure and dismissiveness. This is not a staffing issue this is a management issue. Properly run restaurants do not treat paying customers like an inconvenience simply because the staff wants to close early. If your kitchen closes before your posted hours, that needs to be clearly communicated and enforced professionally not thrown at guests in a rushed, borderline hostile manner. What's most concerning is that this behavior felt normalized, as if management has allowed or even encouraged staff to operate this way. That speaks volumes about the leadership and standards of this establishment. First impressions matter, and this one ensured I will never return. I would strongly caution others to reconsider before dining here, especially if you expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. The telugu "tindibothu" in me greedily wanted everything, but restrained myself to kova kajjikaayalu, bellam with nuts pootarekulu, bobbatlu and raagi murukulu. Ignored kalakand altogether, you can get that anywhere :) Everything tasted super fresh, definitely high quality. Each one of them melted in my mouth.
