From the start we could tell that Michael was a detailed and driven realtor and he worked diligently with us to find the right home at the right price. He accompanied us to numerous listings until we finally won a bid on a nice 2BR/2BA unit in the "Hills" section of Bedminster. This all during the "hey day" of the housing market boom in which homes were being swept up left and right. Times and the market had changed, and we again sought out Michael and his now new agency (which he had recently started with a partner) in selling our then current home in order to move on to bigger and better things, doing so when the housing market had hit the bottom of hill I would say. Still, Michael and his professional team were able to advise us and prepare us for the sale resulting in less than a months time from the sign in the ground to an accepted offer. A very quick turnaround in relation to the market and a testament their expertise. While shopping for our new home, he again accompanied us, to multiple listings, placing multiple offers on different homes. Always presenting sound advice and keeping us level headed throughout the long affair. We ended up winning a bid over two other bidders on a very nice residence, which we thought was perfect for us, due to his spot on advice for our offer which was remarkable given that our bid was not even the highest they had received! But, alas, a third aggressive cash bidder ended up coming in after the fact sweeping it from under us despite our best efforts. The ending of the story is a good one though as an even better prospect was found, thanks to his attention to our needs and tireless searching, which we ending up winning the bid to and purchasing; again having to best another interested party. We were glad to have Michael's smarts and experience on our side throughout the process as it was the key determining factor. I couldn't even begin to imagine another realty agency I would ever use in the future based on our great experiences with Michael and his group. They truly do care about meeting your needs and making the process as easy for you as possible. While the name/title of the agency may seem "fancy" or overwhelming to most. Don't think for a minute that his team won't put the same amount of effort and care into your own situation as they do any of their other clients. I was referred to this team by a friend and while they eventually got me a good rate, their service left much to be desired. In a nutshell, I felt that they provided very little communication--more piecemeal than comprehensive and attentive--what I would consider good service; there was no explanation of the process, no follow-up and they were not very responsive. I received the Loan Estimate but no follow-up call to review it, even after repeated voicemails and emails to the team. The two other banks I had requested an estimate from had no problem getting on the phone to review each line so that I understood the numbers. Not this team. I had to rely on real estate friends and my lawyer to walk me through the details of the Loan Estimate issued by PNC. In addition, I feel that this team could have done a better job communicating the mortgage process. I received repeated assurances that we would be clear to close by a certain time--the time came and went and I had no explanation for the delays. Dan was at least responsive to my emails but only so far as to answer the immediate questions--there was no effort to provide me with a more clear explanation of the process so that I would have a more realistic idea of timing. The loan package finally came and I closed on the house but again, not a peep from the team before or after closing to see how things went. I feel that if they had spent the time communicating, explaining the process and walking me through the different steps--and helping to better manage my expectations (I guess you would call that service?), I would have had a better experience. Instead, I felt like I was basically on my own trying to navigate all the different steps towards closing.
