This not a fancy place but it is a very good one. First, It's clean and neat. Decor is retro-diner which is a perfect match. Food is good old classic mid century American. Burger and fries actually taste like burgers and fries. (Yes, I'm old enough to remember those days.) The service was very nice and probably better than most. Prices were very reasonable. We stopped here on a road trip because of all the positive reviews on the place. It was a malt shop style place, very cute. It was clearly a popular place for lunch. I ordered a burger and it was huge and good. I'm glad I didn't get a side of fries. The bun was toasted which I love for my burger. It came with tomato and lettuce (and pickles but I'm not a pickle fan). Husband got a burger as well and a side of fries. They put two bottles on our table, ketchup and a mystery bottle. We asked what it was and our server said 'fry sauce, something the folks in this area like on their fries'. Turned out to be ketchup and Mayo mixed. Who knew. Service was excellent. Fun little diner set in the middle of a gift shop and medical supply business. Yup, the pairing is quirky at best but well worth the visit. It's set like an old 50's style diner and there are several tables or seats at the soda fountain bar. Hours are tight and they have limited lunch from 11-3pm. Worth the tight window. I opted for the "Remedy Burger" which was a 1/3 lb with awesome grilled onions. Several other toppings available and it was fantastic. Great bun and with some cheese and bacon, this was a little piece of heaven. The fries are battered and thick cut, like steak fries. I couldn't eat them all as the plate was heaping. There are some different sandwiches on the menu, some pizzas, and some other fare. All have a very "home town" vibe and the wait staff / cook were very, very friendly and attentive. (Pre-covid review) You know that saying "don't knock it, till you try it"? Well that definitely rings true here! When you walk in, it doesn't look like much. There's a little gift shop and a small seating area for the restuarant. My family and I were the only ones inside when we walked in, granted I believe it was a Sunday and a lot of places were closed. I didn't have great expectations for the food, but man was I wrong. The food was actually really good and it came out fast! They had the good fries, not the greasy soggy things that some places serve. Very affordable and cheap compared to other places and overall a great place to stop and eat. read more

We were looking for lunch and someone recommended Remedies. It was a small place in the front of a store downtown with a few tables and a counter. It was also popular. We got two of the last seats at the counter for lunch. They make big and interesting burgers, but for some reason we were looking for something lighter. I had a tuna melt and my wife had chicken strips. We were happy with them and the prices were great. Friendly small town service and good food, what more could we ask? We took Yelpers' advice and stopped here in our way east. Both the cheeseburger and the tuna melt were very good. Since the deep fryer was being worked on, we substituted side salads that were generous and made with fresh romaine. Great service! Our server was extremely friendly! The only negative was the out of order restroom. We used the employee restroom in the adjoining gift shop. The restroom was pretty grim. Note: the sign above the window does not feature "Remedy"- it features medical supplies and cowboy souvenirs which are sold in the same space. read more

Can not believe this is a 4.5 star restaurant...my daughters Remedy burger with pepper jack cheese and avocado was tasteless... onion rings were fine. the Codiac Arrest was an actual joke. The pieces were small...mostly breading... order plenty of tarter sauce cause you need it to taste something... probably received a total of 7 French fries for an extra $2, a rip off. To get an additional piece of crappy cod it cost another $3.75 .... overpriced...there is no quality here, very much below average read more

Whenever I am in Rock Springs, I always have to eat here. Their burgers are delicious and so are their fries. These aren't the typical fast food-freezer to fryer type fries. They are larger cut and have a thin batter on the outside. Outstanding. My aunt went with me and she said she always has the tuna melt as they do a really good job. Not being a tuna fan, I took her word for it. Unfortunately, they're only open for lunch and only on weekdays. (Their website says Mon-Sat, but it is out of date.) Highly recommend if you're in Rock Springs and want a delicious lunch. read more

A few minutes off 30/84, this is worth a stop. A classic soda fountain without cheesy and affected kitsch. You may hesitate, thinking about Sysco economy selection. Don't. The beer-battered fries are the best you'll find, burgers and the grilled cheese (sub swiss) are fresh, top quality, and perfectly prepared. Ordered: -Hot Chocolate -Remedy Burger Review: Barista lady/server has probably one of the most friendly vibes, Id give her a server of the year award. On top of that, burger looks very typical, but once you bite into it, Remedies is "on-par" if not "better" than In-N-Out (For you Californians and West Coasters). Very iconic place. Feel like you are back into the 1950's. Great burgers and the servers are so nice. You have to try the onion rings, they are the best, and cooked perfectly. I'm so glad I got to spend a meal at Remedies while driving across the country. My burger was supremely delicious and I just felt so at home from the moment I walked through the door. Dont try to eat here if you have a service animal. Discourteous manager asked if my service dog ( in her vest) was a service animal. I answered yes and he asked us to move to a table at the entrance. I explained that she was allowed anywhere a person was, and he accused me of starting an argument. I recomend the Bitter Creek Brewing. Good food, good people. read more

Remedies is in a drug store, the restaurant is right up front when you walk in and it is a true blue Soda Shop, Burger Joint ................. walking into Remedies is like taking a step back to 1950 (no I was not alive than but I watch movies) in the best possible sense. They have a very simple menu and while I have only tried one thing from the menu I just can't imagine having anything better than the Remedy Burger!! 1/3lb of beef cooked the way you order it with cheddar cheese (if you like) lettuce, tomato, pickles, and grilled onions. It is served with french fries (really, REALLY good french fries) or chips and it is only $6.55. Here is the best part, these burgers are not patties, noooooooooo ................. if you look to your left as you are sitting at the soda counter you will see the cook making everything fresh which means that these burgers are 100% grade A US beef beef formed into patties and cooked to a hamburger lovers perfection. This was a really, REALLY good, homemade, juicy, tasty, cheeseburger ................. Thank you sir, may I have another!!!!!!! Before I close I must comment on the wonderful server that we had who was working behind the counter taking care of everybody that was there, she was awesome!!! She was on it, the drink was low, boom she filled it, you needed something, she was on it, and the best part she was having fun at her job and she was funny, I could not stop laughing. What a great day, the only bad part of leaving was stepping back into the current day after spending lunch enjoying the sitting in the 1950's. Family owned business, check!! Remedies has the absolute best burger in town, and the best service. We always order the remedy burger with grilled onions and of course bacon. I love sitting at the bar, we always get great service. My son and I stopped here for lunch before soccer... I had never been to this part of Rock Springs before... old town vibe on these cute little streets...this restaurant is in the Bi-Rite building which took me back to drug store shopping as a little kid... we sat at the soda fountain counter on twirly red seats and it had a light under the counter that lit it up below with a red hue to match the other neon signs in the shop... adorable!!! My tuna melt was perfect, the beer battered onion rings were to die for and the chicken sandwich was juicy and flavorful... we will return for ice cream soon! The gift shop has tons of UW gear that I've never seen before (color changing mug, hand made ladies ball cap in brown and gold with unique embellishments, soft tees in new colors) and I got some SPF 25 lip chap for 1.75$!!! LOVED our server... she kept us giggling and never took a wrong step. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we were served in disposable paper cups. I expect some patrons appreciate being able to take their drinks to go, but I felt wasteful using a paper cup to drink out of at a sit down joint.
