While I was browsing I was amazed at all the cool stuff from lamps , rugs , tables , furniture , knik knaks and other unique items and trinkets with prices that are very reasonable. Friendly helpful staff if you need help and I was mostly roaming around freely till I found what I wanted .2 table lamps , 2 wall pictures , side table and a small storage like unit that I will find useful eventually. So excited that I went in I was very surprised and happy. Instantly greated by the woman running the show. Her name escapes me at the moment. They've only been on 44th drive for 4 weeks. They used to have a spot in Astoria but moved here. As soon as you walk in you see tons of artwork. They had some SNES games on a shelf I almost scooped them up. I love that they also take items from you so that you can donate. The furniture in the back is totally retro and totally awesome like the way my sentence just sounded. You can tell they do photo shoots on site because they had a light section setup. We learned that they donate to many places. 10% of the sales go to HabitatNYC, thats pretty dope if you ask me. If you follow their IG page they mention that they have free items on Friday. They had some pretty cool lamps too this area definitely needed a cool furniture spot like this. You definitely gotta check them out. They are 1 block and a half away from E & M station at court square. The G is 2 to 3 blocks as well as the 7 train. read more

Was recommended to try this place out and honestly I've yet to find anything here worth spending my money on. The furniture is hit/miss which I understand - that's part of the hunt - but I've seen broken and damaged goods here selling for $200+. I've seen better quality items on Facebook Marketplace selling for far less. I didn't know it went viral on social media, but after seeing some of their criminal markups...it makes sense. I saw a kid's hand-drawn doodle on printer paper in a cheap frame selling for $35 and another larger one selling for upwards of $120. Now, not all of their "art" for sale is that ridiculous (there are some decent pieces) but when you can find similar artwork in Housing Works/Goodwill for over half the price, there's no reason to come all the way out to LIC for this. On a positive note, there was a very kind older man working there the first time I visited (weekend) who was very polite and greeted me. However, I came back a second time (weekday), the young folks working there completely ignored me and cackled loudly amongst themselves, and I was the only person there. One even moved giant furniture in my path and never said excuse me. That's just bad customer service. read more

Love this place, I come regularly since their selection is constantly changing depending on what they bring in. They're associated with Junkluggers, and they're an active reuse center and fundraiser for Habitat NYC, so not only are they selling items that could've been otherwise thrown away, they're supporting a worthy cause. 10% of their proceeds are donated to Habitat NYC and 90% of their inventory is donated to local nonprofits that can provide 501(c)3 status. I have found some great gems here, small items in their small goods sections (dishware, paintings, and misc items) and in their larger area I have found a couple of pieces that were great deals for me. The staff is extremely nice, and they keep the area pretty well organized for the amount that they have to sort on a week-to-week basis. Every now and then, they also started hosting neighborhood clothing swaps for free, which is also a really big plus for the community. They will pop up on Eventbrite or the Facebook Buy Nothing Group, so I'm always on the lookout for those too. Overall, a great benefit to the community and one that I will continue to give my support to! read more

They have big pieces,small, size dont matter they have a nice selection to get you digging for your treasure. Very organized packed with cool art, chairs, sofa, mirrors, desk chairs, bar stool, dining tables, coffee tables, a lot. Staff are super fun and laidback but attentive to your inquiry. What a well-oiled 'racket' this place runs. I don't know how they did it, but this place is on the hit-list of every NYC transplant, every 'Influencer', hipster, etc. Clearly they did something right with their social media and cast of friends. However, the markup here is criminal. I mean, most of this stuff is VERY basic and could easily be had, for FREE, if you just follow one of the "Stooping in..... " accounts on Instagram. In fact, I'd not be surprised if the owners of this place do just that...they troll the Stooping pages, the notices of Curb Alerts, etc., then grab the stuff, put it in their shop, and slap on price tags that are 3x what any sane person would pay. I only found myself in this shop because a friend wanted to go there, and I was just shaking my head at the prices, and the fact that the place was full of hipster wannabes oohing and aaaahing over everything. Clearly there is a sucker born every minute. And mind you, I have no problem paying good money for stuff that is worth it. But in this case it is So Not. Also, it's not as if their prices are high in order to cover their rent. I mean, could the location of this place be any more remote and inhospitable? They laugh all the way to the bank. read more

The staff was very nice and helpful and even decreased the price without us asking or negotiating. Moreover, their mover Francisco was able to executive a quick, cheap move to our apartment. Really fun selection, big space with lots of fun finds. The prices seem a little inconsistent- some pieces seem priced high considering how banged up certain pieces are, others seemed a low low for the quality. I LOVE that they have a website with great pictures so you can scout out what you're interested in ahead of time. But there are loads of surprises to look through once you're there! Had a great experience at Remix today. I've followed them on Instagram for a while and have lurked around the shop, but they had a great sale going on so I stopped by. Mike was very sweet and helpful, made me an offer I couldn't refuse! The rest of the team all introduced themselves to me, shook my hand, and made me feel very welcomed. They were very helpful, but did not talk down to me which I have experienced shopping as a woman before at other local resellers. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, you will feel comfortable and taken care of while you get some great deals on quality pieces.
