I hate to say this because I have gone to Michael's for many craft needs in the past I go there…read moreregularly to buy yarn and I also I go there regularly to buy drawing supplies however the last time I was in there I was discriminated against by who I presume was the manager, as he was wearing a collared shirt and slacks. To me this was incredibly hurtful not only because of how much money I have spent there but because I was not doing anything unusual, I was only shopping and they would not let me shop, as the manager and a older female associate kept circling around me in the isles asking each other if they saw if I had put back the previous items I was thinking of purchasing. so I ended up not even buying anything. I handed the drawing pens to the man and said "no thank you. I can not purchase anything from you because of how uncomfortable you are causing me to feel by not allowing me to browse." I'm not sure if it is that they are discriminate against Russian individuals at this store, or perhaps the manager man has some kind or xenophobic problems with his life. I do not know. They have a good selection of hobby supplies covering model railroad, plastic models and R/C aircraft. I would say about a third of the store is dedicated to model kits of carious types, and the rest of the store is various other hobby supplies (paints, track, styrene sheets, etc). Overall, they have a lot of different stuff, and if they don't have it, just ask and they are probably just sold out. The staff is pretty helpful when I have questions about new stock, or painting techniques. When I asked a question about a new air compressor, the guy wasted no time in taking it out of the box so we could both have a look at it. Anyway, the staff is generaly knowledgable but not condescending. Always a plus.

The Staff suggested I send a Facebook message listing the titles I really wanted and they would try and set aside copies, and they did both years. I traded in a short box of comics for store credit. Realized of course that they couldn't give me retail value before doing it, but still got more than I was expecting. The amount of titles they stock from large, small and medium publishers alike is impressive. They have fulfilled several special orders I've requested.
