I've had about 4 sessions of tattoo removal with Removery in Hyde Park,NY. Tattoo is just black and about 3 yrs old. They ice the area but it still is painful. The treatments are quick ( like couple minutes) and you're done. You have to wait 10-12 weeks in between I have an advantage because I am a DDS so I inject the area with local an aesthetia so I am comfortable. I recently found a new place in Manhattan that does magnetic tattoo removal. Today is 9 days and I have seen much more progress with one magnetic session than 4 pico laser removal. Will be canceling and not going back to Removery. read more

I had a really good experience for my first consult and session with Rebecca the laser technician, and Rhonda the PA, in the Wayne,NJ location. This is a huge commitment so I was taking it seriously and prepping my immune system for several weeks before the procedure! Rebecca was incredibly warm and welcoming. She walked me through everything thoroughly and explained the pricing so I could purchase the best package for what I need. The laser was painful, so it helped so much to feel like I was in good hands. Rebecca made me feel really comfortable and I could tell her and Rhonda were a good team. They were very efficient and professional. I followed her directions and just iced the area for the last few days and I've had minimal side effects. Two stars because the place is clean and the staff is nice and knowledgeable. I had my first session May 2022. I had done my research- I have on my calf a black outline tattoo with some black shading. It is 1 inch by 1.5 inches. I was charged $294 (double checked my credit card today before writing the review) and then I tipped on top of that for a total that came to well over $300 for one visit. Whatever the excuse this place gives for such a high price tag, after really shopping around (which I should have before my first visit) it turns out that price isn't even in the same ballpark as the competition. I've continued treatments elsewhere (also very clean, also a lovely staff) where THREE treatments are almost the same price as ONE treatment at Clean Slate. Do your research before choosing a place! I went to Clean Slate for a consultation with Tyler in 2019. He was friendly and informative. I was told my tattoos are very pigmented and it would be a lengthy process to fully remove them. After a year of thinking about this decision, I finally made an appointment to start the process and I do not regret it. I've had 2 sessions so far in White Plains and 1 in Simsbury, where I will continue to go because it is a much closer drive. Both locations are clean and the staff are great. While it is painful, they make you feel comfortable and they even follow up the next day to check in. I was a little nervous to try laser tattoo removal because I thought it was going to be super painful and have a long recovery time but that was not the case at all. The treatment itself was not painful at all- more of an annoying stinging sensation, and it only lasted about a minute! My technician was super helpful and answered all my questions. It's been about a day since my first treatment and I have no discomfort at all. The aftercare is very minimal and easy, just keep the area clean and dry. I've been customer with them since 2019, and I originally dealt with owner Jeff Garnett and his wife which were super nice and personable. Last year I had session with a physician assistant who was condescending acting like she was doing me a favor when I asked her to hit one more spot, she missed. This year, I've had a session at White Plains with Vanessa. Not only was I charged $250 for spot test, which I was told is included in the price of removal, she ruined my face with turning couple light brown spots into large black dots. Red line removal spot was succesful but I have to come back in 10 weeks and pay another $250 for this, I was told spot test is included in the price of removal. They lied to me. They are switch and bait. Owner said that they don't charge for the test spot, and I never got nursing discount 20% off as I got originally from Jeff. I paid $250 in September for 10 zaps, and $250 yesterday for 5 zaps. She arbitrarily made up new pricing which is dishonest. read more
