Stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Ala Moana for 5 nights. Originally booked through Capital One travel and I had no issues although I would recommend booking directly with hotel. This is a very busy hotel that is shared with residents of hawaii and lots of visitors. They have a $50 daily resort fee, but a $25 hotel credit that you can use at Sera and the bar at the pool to get fruit cups or aćai bowls. The $25 credit does not offset the $50 resort fee and it is a use it or lose it daily credit. I mainly used it to get takeout at Sera. The hotel amenities are shared with the neighboring building, Sky. The gym is adequately equipped for basic exercises. There are 2 concept row machines, multiple peloton bikes, elliptical machines and treadmills. None of the weight stations are bolted to the ground so they put a warning not to do pull ups for safety. The pools are heated and children friendly. They have a laundry room which uses quarters. $1.75 for washer and $1.50 for the dryer (30 mins dry time). The hotel room was small and did not have basic toiletries unless you called and requested for certain things. It has a fridge, a nespresso maker, kettle for hot water, a double walled bin for ice. Upon entering the bathroom, there was a very noticeable unpleasant smell. The sink and bathtub had a very bad smell. The shower curtain had mold so I requested it to be replaced. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash were not so pleasant to use so I used my own. The body wash especially had a bad smell that lingered. The towels also had a bad smell probably from an overloaded laundry machine and towels being left out for a long time with inadequate drying. The TV inside the room wouldn't pair with my Netflix account so I had to unplug it and replug it for it to reset and work. The housekeeping staff were not so friendly. They have to cover so many floors so many days, housekeeping did not come to the room to change out towels and make the bed. I had to call for them to come. As far as the service of the front desk staff, they were all very friendly and answered all my questions. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Ala Moana mall, magic island and Waikiki (Banyan tree near Duke Paoa Kahanamoku statue). They will also pick up, but might skip Ala moana mall and magic island since those are walking distance to the hotel. I think for the location and convenience, this hotel is a top choice. It is probably cheaper than hotels in Waikiki. In my opinion, Ala Moana has way friendly services compared to Waikiki. I am not sure whether this hotel offers any Kamaaina discounts for locals. The hotel is walking distance to Kaka'ako as well.

A non-vacation thing brought us to the Renaissance Honolulu, which is part of Marriott . I had no idea they existed but it seems they're fairly new, possibly opened in 2024. LOCATION: Located directly behind Ala Moana Center, it consists of two towers, one a hotel and the other a residences (Sky Ala Moana). I loved how close it is to Walmart, Don Quijote, tons of restaurants and Ala Moana Center. PARKING: Valet only, $59/day. RIDE SHARE: Pick up and drop off is at the main entrances. SHUTTLE: The hotel provides a comp shuttle service to Ala Moana Center, Magic Island and the Waikiki Banyan tree every 2 hours. CHECK IN: Chad was great. Very friendly and welcoming. He went over everything and walked us over to the elevators to give us a quick lesson on its digital operation. LOBBY: Modern design that features the Sera restaurant & Paris Baguette bakery, front and concierge desks. ROOM: 3706 is near the top. Views of the city and Ala Wai Boat Harbor are good. There is no balcony but the sliding door does open fully and features a safety window at the bottom half. The room has two comfy queen beds & pillows, blackout curtains, ambient lighting, strong & quiet a/c, smart TV, clothes steamer, stacked washer & dryer, a kitchenette with sink, mini stove and hood vent, microwave, sizable mini refrigerator, original Nespresso machine and pods, hot water maker, pots, pans, utensils and glassware. BATHROOM: Good-sized space with a single basin, bidet toilet, oversized shower/tub, strong water pressure, plenty of hot water and quick drainage. AMENITIES: All the usual bath amenities were provided. Items such as robes, shower caps, shaving/dental kits are available by request. Ice and water machines are offered on varying floors between 16 and 38. A coin operated laundry room, pools, Sway bar, hot tubs, fitness center, BBQ pavilion and Nami Spa are all on floor 8. Room service is available between 7am and 9pm and comes from the Sera restaurant. HOUSEKEEPING: Daily service is a rarity these days and much appreciated. RESTAURANTS: Sera and Paris Baguette, both serve B/L/D. CHECK OUT: Both associates were great. OVERALL: Really great service from everyone we encountered - bell staff, front desk, housekeeping. Staff riding in the elevators always greeted you as they exited. Great location. Beautiful facilities, not overly crowded and we really enjoyed staying outside of Waikiki.

After returning home from Vegas I did a little staycation at the Renaissance Hotel &Spa . Fairly new hotel very nice part of the Marriott chain . When I checked in they gave me a free upgrade room to an ocean view . It was a corner unit with 2 side of the glass window one facing Diamond head and the other facing Ala Moana beach . The bathroom was unreal with a tub and a separate standing shower . The toilet was also a bidet. This hotel has a lap pool which needs to be reserved. Along with a nice pool with 2 jacuzzi. This particular hotel is located corner of Kapiolani and Keeamoku. Close to Ala Moana shopping center , Target, Walmart and the Convention center . Kamaaina rates are available based on availability. I would definitely return to this property in the future . Service is very professional and efficient and the rooms are very clean . Support local

It's my go to hotel on Oahu. The staff is also very welcoming and super duper helpful. And the price is right. Shout out to Sho and Shawn the dynamic duo

Beautiful corner room with ocean views from a panel of windows; friendly staff, and amazing little extras: bottled water in the room, heated toilet seat. The room had a wall kitchen, with an electric range and oven, but all was compact and didn't feel crowded. There was an electric kettle as well as a single-serve coffee machine but the Nespresso machine didn't work. We informed the hotel staff upon check out. We were in a residence-style suite. Bathroom was roomy with a step-in bathtub combo, and an extra closet. It would be perfect for extended-stay travelers. The Sera restaurant bar on the ground floor had a good happy hour menu with a variety of small plates and appetizers. HH wine is $8 vs. regular price of $12, which is stilll good, considering Hawaii (specifically Maui) prices. Bonus: our kamaaina rate saved us over $100 for the overnight stay. I'd return.

It's been a while since I've stayed in Waikiki, but WOW... this trip reminded me why I love it here and this hotel has officially stolen the crown as my absolute favorite! While it's not right in the middle of the central Waikiki market and beach, don't let that fool you there are endless beaches within walking distance, and for longer stays, the location is actually perfect. You're close to amazing local food spots, fantastic restaurants, and all the shopping you could dream of. Walmart and Sam's Club are just around the corner, Target and the mall are right across the street basically, everything you need is at your fingertips. One minute you're tanning like a beach-loving starfish, splashing around like a mermaid, and the next you're shopping until you drop, collecting souvenirs of a lifetime. Now, let's talk about the entrance absolutely stunning. The moment I walked in, I felt instantly fancy. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the staff. They went above and beyond for our entire family, which meant the world to us given the circumstances of our trip. A special shoutout to Angel from the Spa department a true lifesaver! Angel helped us secure a BBQ gazebo and seating for our big family gathering by the pool, and thanks to them, we had the most amazing day. Speaking of the pool... wow. One huge pool, two jacuzzis, and even a lap pool something for everyone, no matter the vibe. And because no perfect pool day is complete without it, there's a full bar right there, along with the gym, spa, and restrooms. The BBQ area's location made it super easy for us to spread out, relax, and create beautiful family memories. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better setup Angel, you're the real MVP! If you need to decompress (and who doesn't in Waikiki?), the spa is a dream. Fully stocked lockers, showers, a hair-drying station, cold plunge, hot plunge (inside AND outside so you can soak next to the lush greenery), comfy lounge chairs, plus both dry and wet saunas it's pure bliss. If massages are more your vibe, the spa offers endless services to melt away every ounce of stress. And then... the suite. We had a full kitchen with a standard-size fridge, oven, and stove perfect for longer stays when you want to save a little and enjoy meals in. The view? Absolutely breathtaking. The bedroom was spacious, with a separate desk area for anyone working or studying on their trip. And the bathroom... let me tell you, seeing it in person blew our minds. Huge, modern, and even equipped with a brand-new bidet! We saw the pictures beforehand, but nothing compares to experiencing it in real life. This was hands down the best hotel we've ever stayed in, and we'll 100% be booking here again in the future. Renaissance Hotel, you've outdone yourself.

It was a pleasure to stay at the newest hotel right across the Ala Moana Shopping Mall. We were here for 9 days and had a great time. The staff was very accommodating. Even got our room was upgraded to a partial ocean view and loved it. Two King beds was more than sufficient. We didn't expect to have plumbing issues the 1st night. The shower got clogged up. We put in a call to the front desk. Happy to report the whole issue was taken care of in less than hour. And, no further trouble for the rest of our stay. Valet parking is free for guest. However, overnight parking is pretty hefty $55. There is street parking free after 6pm but you'll have to get up early to move the care to avoid having to pay. If you plan on renting a car, I was told some people rent them as early as possible and then return them by 8pm before the the rental office closes to avoid fees. If you don't like the sand, there is a pool and jacuzzi on the 8th floor complete with several saunas. Lounge chairs are around with a a few grills if you want to bbq. We also took advantage of the washer and dryer to have clean clothes for the next leg of our trip, the Big Island. Walmart is next door. Target is right across the street. The MARA restaurant I heard is great especially since there's not many Mediterranean restaurants. There are many great places to eat nearby. Foodland Market is across the street if you want to get a Poke bowl. Several options for breakfast too. Yelp it. Ala Moana beach is very close by too. The contemporary setting had a very clean aesthetic. Hardwood floors and large bathroom were nice. Standard coffee was made available. Appreciated that. Would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip.

Perfect stay, away from the beach crowd. Renaissance was so nice after long days at Waikiki. Very convenient with Ala Moana shopping across the street. Target at the corner, Walmart in the back, Foodland at the end of the mall. There's a shuttle to Waikiki every 2hrs, just wish it was every hour in the morning, bc not everyone can fit in. Have to give a shout out to 'Sho' at the front desk. He always greeted us with a great smile, morning afternoon & evening. Definitely coming back in 365 days.

Budi greeted us with a warm welcome. Since we had a late arrival, he gladly extended our checkout an hour later. The room smelled very new. It was very clean. Love the high tech switches and toilet. $48 comp on hotel food or spa daily. So far, so good.

We stayed here when it was still sort of new. We did choose the Renaissance Residences side. Great experience, staffs were friendly! The room we stayed in was clean and we visited the restaurant that was downstairs for some breakfast food. The best way to describe the experience was how it felt very homey.

    Pool area

While the rooms, pool, spa, and overall property are truly state‑of‑the‑art, our stay was overshadowed by an unresolved and deeply disappointing issue regarding double‑charged destination fees. We raised the matter with the front desk and later with Che, the Director of Accounting, yet no corrective action was taken despite clear documentation. The lack of resolution has left us with no choice but to pursue formal escalation. We intend to report this incident as fraudulent billing and misrepresentation to the appropriate federal and state agencies, as well as to Marriott corporate and relevant hotel associations. It is extremely concerning that JL Capital and its ownership, including Bronson I. Libed, have declined to address or correct the duplicate charges, even after multiple attempts to resolve the matter directly.

The Renaissance hotel just recently opened its doors on February 29th 2024. Conveniently located on Kapiolani Blvd, across the street from Ala Moana Mall, and being 10 minutes walking distance to Ala Moana Beach. The Renaissance Hotel is the perfect place for a staycation or suggesting family or friends to stay while vacationing in Hawai'i. The interior design has modern-day art with a cultural influence added to it. From the 16th floor and up, every even number floor has a water and ice machine. The building has the state of the art technology showcasing the motion sensor lighting, fitness equipment, and high-grade digital touch screen HVAC system. The amenities at the property will make staying here very relaxing and comfortable. Everything from restaurants, convenience stores, and shops are at walking distance that someone's stay will be stress free. A must stay Hotel!

Hotel offers different types of pillows in the room and spare blanket in armoire. Also in the armoire is hangers, an ironing board and steaming iron, which came in handy for those wrinkled linen shirts mashed in my suitcase. The Bathroom. - one sink with a little counter top space but sufficient. The toilet was also bidet in the master bath. The shower pressure on 21st is ok but low, but it did the job. The Ac in room was awesome! It gets super cold, if you need it, quickly. It was nice for those hot humid days of walking in Waikiki. It had an In-room mini fridge and bar sink with 4 real drinking glasses, which I like. Hated there was no freezer in the mini fridge But the bell hop station offers to freeze ice packs, or whatever you need, for you. We had 3 sliding doors with west views and moderate views of Waikiki beach. The Second bedroom has own bath with also a single sink, toilet and shower- No bidet. The room/bedding/bathrooms were clean with no mold in the showers. The furniture showed a little wear but nothing excessive. The Elevators were fast! The pool, mangers reception and breakfast are all on the 4th Floor (terrace level). Breakfast was typical of Embassy Suites, I like the made to order omelette which makes it much better. Lots of fresh fruit and even some miso soup and other Japanese/Hawaiian offerings. The Staff was awesome and super friendly. I Used valet every day. Great service, fast and practical IMO but hard to swallow the daily fee. The hotel was attacked to the Waikiki beach walk. Island vintage coffee was a regular stop for coffee and sometimes breakfast. Order coffee or food to go online after 8am to save a ton of time standing in line. Hotel was Very close to all ththe shops. Awesome location. Much better location than Hilton Hawaiian village location!!! Our fav restaurant close by the hotel was Kana Pilla and Monkey Pod, which were across the street. Make sure to make Open Table reservations for both way ahead of time. I did mine 2 months out. Housekeeping willing to clean and supply new towels daily however linens are not cleaned but every 5 day, unless you request it, which they are happy to do! Views from 21st floor were awesome and all 21st floor rooms had extensive balconies. 3 sliding doors. Keep in mind Ac doesn't work, yes the fan blows, when the doors are open!! It's too humid at night to sleep with them open so we had them open for select times, mostly am. There's a Washer/dryer laundry room on site, 3rd floor only. It was Very convenient especially packing 4 days of clothes for a 10 day trip so our suitcases weren't stuffed . Use laundry room on sundays/mon or late evenings when people are too busy arriving and leaving. $5.25 to each wash load and I think $4.75 to dry. Washers only wash with cold which I like. Perm press on dryer seemed to dry all our shirts and socks well. We hung our nice Aloha shirts on the hangers in the room and they dried within a day. Washer and dryers take credit cards. Yes they're is a soap machine that also takes credit cards. I didn't use and just bought soap from ABC. ABC stores are EVERYWHERE so don't lug around suntan lotion or waters in your suitcase. Just buY at ABC which is only 20 steps away. FYI ABC doesn't no GIVE out bags for items unless you spend over a certain amount. ANC bags cost like .50 cents. ABC has Awesome poke and alcohol (spirit and beer) choices. Yes single purchase tall beers too. Don't forget the free brief fireworks show in front of the Hilton Hawaii Village on Friday nights only. We saw them set off at 7:45p by the lagoon. It's amazing how many people attend so be prepared for the crowds to and from. Big tip: make open table reservations for all your restaurants months ahead! All places are super busy until about 8:45 pm on most nights. Hope I helped.

First things first- the food offered at the buffet in the Veranda restaurant is delicious and with a wide variety to choose from! Salmon, smoked salmon, parfaits, fried rice, potatoes to a number of different juices- take your pick! I didn't take many photos in our hotel room that weekend but I loved every inch! There is a cute booth area with modern touches where you can play cards, have your meals, set your luggages down, etc. The view of the ocean and of diamond head was my favorite part of our stay. It's so picturesque like how you would envision a picture on a postcard! The one thing that I thought they could improve on is limiting how long each party can occupy a chair at the pool area. We saw that folks would reserve seats by placing their items on the chairs they wanted, but remained unused for long periods of time. There has got to be a timer for folks using these chairs. I highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return to the breakfast buffet at the Veranda again:)

This hotel, being the most expensive I have stayed at, is by far the worst of all of them. This includes the hyatt regency, the princess Kaiulani, Hilton Hawaiian Village & the Waikiki beach Marriot. I booked this room via Amex Platinum travel. Ok, the pluses: location, beauty, very comfortable bed and relaxing rocking chairs on the porch. The negatives: Room was in the old building, no where did it mention there is no lanai. NO LANAI. The rooms that have it are far more expensive I come to find out. I booked a ocean front "renovated" King. Ok, so no Lanai, and no Japanese toilet. WHAT? How is that possible? Waikiki was the first place I ever experienced a bidet toilet. Even in the crap hotel like the princess. There is zero way to get a chaise lounge at the pool, I woke up at 8:15 and went down bc I was on pacific time and all the lounge chairs had a towel over em like the pools in vegas. Disappointing, Ok, no room service, and no makeup mirror. Those are my complaints for the room. My only other complaint about the hotel is the valet. They quote you 25 min to get your car but both times it has been 40. I will also say there are weddings going on on the fri and sat pm I stayed here. That is fine, but even with my windows shut I heard the music LOUD. It was an Indian wedding so there was a lot of drumming. I asked if there were other rooms avail. but i knew there wouldn't be. I tried the 57.00 breakfast buffet and I have to say it was just not good. The made to order omelet and the man who cooked it was awesome, but the rest of the buffet was just meh. prison scrambled eggs, fruit, a pancake, a horrible eggs benedict. Like I said just Meh. I also tried to door dash and the driver was not allowed to leave it at my door so he was told to leave it at a door dash delivery table, but i had to ask 3 people where that was. I will compliment every employee, they have all been exceptionally nice. I just won't spend for this. I need a lanai. I need a Japanese toilet. I need to get my care quicker. (Hyatt was never more then a 10 min time quote) anyhow, I just felt compelled to yelp this bc a lot of people must be like me and thought this was exceptional. I find it a true 2.5 star hotel as far as compared to what else is right here.

Halepuna Hotel This…read moreis a review of my experience staying at the Halepuna Hotel, located in Waikiki. I booked my stay via Costco Travel recommendations. WORDS TO DESCRIBE Halepuna Hotel: Modern, clean, safe, economically and environmentally friendly (bamboo room cards, water dispensers for your reusable water bottles), bright, airy, quality service in hospitality and room service LOCATION I loved staying at the Halepuna Hotel. It was centrally located at the beach walk, so ABC Store, shops, restaurants, and the beach were all within walking distance. *It was difficult finding the location of the hotel, when we first arrived. There was no big sign that you can spot, while you're driving, so my landmarks I always looked for were the ABC Store and Denny's. STAFF/SERVICE: Everyone that we came across during our stay was very friendly, generous, kind, and attentive. A shoutout to the Valet Service crew, especially RJ. He gave us recommendations for where to go. He always made us smile and laugh with his jokes. Thank you Uncle! AMENITIES: ROOMS Our room was equipped with charge stations-usb and usb c compatible plugs, ironing board/iron, mini fridge, ice bucket, tea kettle, and coffee maker. BATHROOM Well stocked with towels, a drying cord, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I appreciated that instead of your standard toilet, the hotel had bidets! *Great water pressure for showering. The tub was also spacious, if you wanted to take a bubble bath. 8TH FLOOR GYM-Equipped with a lot of machines Water dispenser Additional restrooms/shower room LAUNDRY ROOM is open 24/7 There are 3 washers and 4 dryers You can pay using your credit card or download the WASH CONNECT app *Friendly suggestions: -As a guest, bring your own laundry soap/dryer sheets--or go to the ABC Store if you forget your laundry supplies -Make sure to clean the lint trap before you put your clothes in -Put a timer on your phone to check on your clothes GARDEN -Serene, tranquil, peaceful, spacious -------- Friendly Suggestions for Halepuna Hotel -Have a big sign stationed outside the hotel, perhaps elevate the height of the sign and add lights to it, so it's easy to spot for first time visitors ------- All in all I enjoyed staying at the Halepuna Hotel. The services and amenities provided were excellent. I can't wait to visit again soon! Mahalo Halepuna Hotel!

The elevators were reasonably fast and the entire hotel was clean and spotless! The valet kept our cars up front - glad I cleaned mine before going!!!!! The area is great! The Halekulani bakery is downstairs, Starbucks is not too far away. Sheraton and Royal Hawaiian Shopping center just a little ways away. There's an ABC Deli right next door and that is very convenient!!! The rooms were clean and the bed and pillows were great! The hotel rooms actually start on the 8th floor (above the Halekulani parking). Nothing to complain about - this is a very fine hotel. Great stay!

Still our favorite hotel for our family staycation! We've been coming to Hilton Hawaiian Village…read morefor years and have stayed in just about every tower except one, and we've enjoyed each experience. We're not high-maintenance travelers--we simply appreciate the opportunity to spend quality time together, and every stay here creates lasting memories. One of our favorite conveniences is the ABC Stores on the property. They're reasonably priced and have surprisingly good sushi and poke bowls for a quick meal. This summer visit was noticeably busier than our fall stays. The pools were definitely crowded, and the village was packed with tourists. While people say tourism is down, that certainly wasn't our experience--it felt very lively throughout our stay. Instead of driving, we used Lyft to visit the Waikīkī International Market Place, which ended up being much cheaper than paying for parking and was well worth it. During this trip, we stayed in the Kalia Tower and loved our room's view overlooking the ocean, lagoon, harbor, and even the marketplace below. My husband also enjoyed using the fitness center. He mentioned it was busiest in the mornings and mid-afternoons, so evenings seemed like the best time to work out. One of the highlights of our stay was our daily feathered visitor--a pigeon that stopped by to greet us every day, which became a fun little tradition. Overall, we had another wonderful stay and made more great family memories. We're already looking forward to coming back again next year!

With all respect to the Hilton family, The Hilton name should be removed from this iconic property…read more It's an embarrassment to say the least. The Hilton accomodation standards are shamefully missing from this iconic resort. After reading several reviews and confirming that the iconic Rainbow Tower just completed its multi million dollar renovation, I secured a Rainbow Kai High-Floor Oceanfront room. Room 2719. The room view was spectacular however the room itself was not Hilton comfortable. Decor was nice but not what we anticipated it would be. After our first night it became obvious that the multi million dollar tower renovation was cosmetic only. A/C system was noisy and not adequate enough for sleeping comfortably. Mini fridge leaked water on floor. Hot water in Shower/Tub/Sink took between 4 - 6 1/2 minutes to get warm/hot. NO EXAGGERATION Closet had a musty odor and wooden hangers that were absolutely disgusting and should have been discarded years ago. The super (main) pool was littered with leaves and debris with zero upkeep maintenance. The tower elevators were another issue. The elevator lobby facade was updated but that was it. The wait for an elevator was absolutley ridiculous. The tower has 6 cars with smart technology. Once inside you couldn't help notice how old they were. Loose wires, dirty mirrors as well as creeks, bangs, scrapes. Definitely an unnerving experience. The Hotel wait staff were very friendly and hospitable although no one stood out for name recognition. The MOD (Manager on Duty) did provide a $200 and $100 resort credit for the hot water issues. She did indicate that the recently completed renovation was a cosmetic upgrade only and that interior building components (Water pipes, elevator mechanical upgrades etc.) were not included. The Rainbow Tower was originally completed and opened in 1968 The property itself is expansive. The beach, lagoon, pools, shops and restaurants are all located on property within a 5-10 minute walk. Conveinant ride share area as well as Charley's Taxi service for an immediate ride with 24 hour availability at the bell stand. While Park Hotels and Resorts fully funded the capital improvements as the property owner, the daily resort operation and management remain under the Hilton brand. Such a shame.

One of the important standards I look for in a hotel stay, is a focus on supporting locals. For me, if there's a Starbucks in the lobby, then I'm already disappointed. This hotel has one of my favorite local chain cafes, Honolulu Coffee Company. The only local café that has consistently made perfect crema foe decades. Starbucks baristas are not trained for this. The hotel also has restaurants with lots of local flavor. The sushi buffet is amazing but difficult to get a reservation on the weekends. 100 Sails also has a buffet though ordering ala cart seemed like the best choice for us. Best place to view the Friday fireworks. Our only disappointment was how much street noise we could hear throughout the night, even though we were on the 28th floor.

We booked the Club Premier package, and we felt it was worth it because breakfast at 100 Sails Restaurant on the 3rd floor was excellent every morning. One thing to keep in mind is that parking is not included with your stay and must be paid for separately, which is something to factor into the overall cost. One big concern was the snacks on the 5th floor. We came across moldy bread, which was definitely concerning. I would think the staff would check the food before putting it out, especially considering this is not a cheap hotel. I loved that we could grab coffee every morning from Honolulu Coffee without having to leave the hotel. The lines can get long, but the service is fairly quick. The staff, overall, were not very welcoming and often seemed serious. However, on Monday, June 29, there was an older woman who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She really stood out and made us feel appreciated. One other issue was that the body wash in our room was never refilled, so we ended up not having any during our stay. We also requested a later check out and our key cards aren't working. The front desk never mentioned anything about need to change keys cards if we had a later check out and now we're outside our rooms having to go back downstairs and change our key cards. And they were making it complicated because they wanted my drivers license even though it's in the room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and the beautiful views, great amenities, and delicious breakfast made it a memorable family vacation.

I stayed at this outrigger property 2 nights from March 6, 2026-March 8, 2026…read more When I checked in I was informed since my stay was for 2 nights if I needed to have my room cleaned to let housekeeping know. Once my room became available I dropped off my luggage and then went directly to the beach. When I returned I did notice some areas of concern where the room was not very well cleaned. Instead of calling housekeeping I went directly downstairs to the front desk. Front desk personnel were busy as there were only 2 people assisting the long line of quests. I decided I'll just deal with the room uncleanliness later. Please be advised that I did take pictures. Once I checked out on Sunday, March 8th, I advised the front desk personnel my concerns. The manager Ira listened to my concerns as I showed her my pictures. She immediately apologized and ask that I email the pictures to their corporate office. Which I did once I arrived back to the mainland. In the room there's a finger or toenail clipping on the carpet between the console and couch. Also you can also see that portion of the carpet has not been vacuumed. The clothed bench in front of bed was extremely stained and filthy. So filthy that I covered the bench with a bath towel if I needed to sit down. Also the refrigerator was very dirty. I chose not to put any food items in the fridge because of this. Also the bottom of the toilet is stained with either fecal matter, urine or maybe it's rust. If so, clean it then use caulking. These are the concerns I have with room 403. Hopefully I'll be hearing from upper management in regards to my unpleasant stay in room 403. The best part of staying at this hotel was the show Auana which is located at this hotel. Needless to say I will not stay at this hotel again.

The front desk staff were very kind and helpful especially during the situation where our room was facing the construction across the street which ended up being a little loud for us so we had requested a new room away from that side and they had a room ready for us in 10 minutes with someone who came to move our luggage. Rooms were nice and clean and spacious we stayed in the diamond tower facing part of the parking garage with a view of part of the beach! It was still great to sit out on the balcony and watch the hustle and bustle of Waikīkī along with the sounds & views of the ocean! The location was across the street from the beach. They also have free beach towel dispenser which really came in handy but make sure you return it before midnight to avoid a charge! Lol. The parking garage was a little questionable as it is very tight and hard to find parking especially late at night so valet might be your best option or alerting the staff that there is no spot for self park they'll usually work something out to make sure you get one. The valet staff was friendly and efficient and everyone we interacted with was welcoming. Unfortunately, the room didn't match what I'd expect from a Hyatt Regency. There was a leaking bathroom faucet, a chipped sink, rust and water damage around the bathroom door, dark buildup around the shower fixture, heavily stained blackout curtains, visible dust and debris under the bed and dark spotting inside the bathroom vanity where clean towels were stored. The room also had numerous scuffs, patched walls and signs of deferred maintenance throughout. The location and staff saved the stay, but the condition of the room fell well below the standard I'd expect from this brand, especially at this price point.
