The hotel for an overall experience was clean and enjoyable, but our room was a little compact with two Queen-size beds (but we went in there that much). Valet was the only parking option, but we did notice a mall parking lot a block down the street that could be utilized too in worse case scenario. The was a restaurant option called Sera that we did enjoy their happy hour one-day, but we mainly found ourselves getting breakfast options from Paris Baguette that was also connected to the hotel. There was a spa, but we didn't partake in it. I only went to the spa to get the beach towels for the swimming pool. That has a patio terrace area and a jacuzzi, also a lap pool. The wait staff was nice, but housekeeping would not always respond when you called for assistance. I had to go to the front desk a couple times to get ahold.of housekeeping, to get like extra bath towels. There is also a shuttle that will drop you off along the Waikiki Beach strip to get you really close to the beach and other touristy spots in Oahu. Also I thought it was nice that the hotel provided complimentary beach chairs on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. My friends and I got lucky enough to get 4 of them one day for out beach visit. Not to mention the location of this hotel is convenient for a near by shopping mall, Target, Don Quixote, a variety of restuarants, and even the location of our rental car place. The hotel itself- the building was nice, but it needs SO much work. I'm a lifetime titanium Marriott member and this property is NOT functioning correctly. It makes it worse because they build a $25 spend on your resort fees for the restaurants and this is what they serve you. On more than one occasion our car took 30-40 minutes because they didn't have enough valets, I booked 2 separate reservations back to back to change room types when my kids showed up and despite requesting housekeeping for both, they didn't service my room 3 out of 9 might. 33% miss. We had to request towels by going downstairs because no one was answering the phone. It's 8-2026 so maybe wait until 2028 to let them straighten it up or else you have been warned Horrible. My 2 stars take into account the nice building, location and decently solid rooms for now read more

Besides my love for traveling, I LOVE staycations, so this weekend we did just that and it was perfect @ Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa. First time here and feels different staying here at this side of town. We always walk or drive pass the Renaissance, once we had to use the bathroom during our walking ventures around town and happen to be at the bakery ( we love to get our walks in) and the kind staff at the front desk let me use the restroom. I know no public restrooms but I really thank you for this. ( after this I had this on my bookmarks for hotels) This time the rates were great and I need to accumulate my nights in, to keep my status. We walked to the Renaissance, checked in was a breeze, met & chatted with Shawn who was awesome, he gave all info. hotel & rooms. The Renaissance is super modern, brand new, hotel in the middle of town. Room keys are needed to work the elevator, you have to scan enter floor #, there are about 6 elevators so not much of a wait. I don't know if there are security but I feel safe. Renaissance Hotel & Spa is a 5 star luxury hotel, with fitness center, spa (Nami Spa), lap pool, saltwater swimming pool, two hot tub, bar (Sky Deck) and BBQ grill area-all located on the 8th floor. Keep in mind the pool is shared with tenants of a residential condo across. $50. plus tax for daily destination fee which includes: daily $25. beverage & food credit, two reusable water tumbler, GoPRo use, beach chairs for up to 2 guest, shuttle service to Ala Moana, Magic Island, and Waikiki, enhanced high speed wifi. This does not include overnight and valet parking. Our rooms are spacious, we got the one king bed, with city views, our rooms were on the 28th floor, no balcony but you can open the top portion of the window, so it is open lanai. It was pretty scary, I was shaking looking out and trying to take photos, had to hold that phone real tight. The view is nice but looks getting crowded with all the new developments. The one thing I don't understand is why only one chair in the room, we got some take out but couldn't utilize the cute table. I guess this room is only for one. ? . I like the Toto toilet, the sensor lights, comfy king bed. Other than that we had a great relaxing time, walked to Ala Moana, ate dinner near by, went to Korean market to get ramen, snacks, then we made bowl ramen for our late midnight snack. The next day we swam at the pool, hot tub, soaked up some sun, relaxed, dine at and got take out at SERA. We wanted to take the shuttle to Waikiki just to feel like a tourist but no time. Stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Ala Moana for 5 nights. Originally booked through Capital One travel and I had no issues although I would recommend booking directly with hotel. This is a very busy hotel that is shared with residents of hawaii and lots of visitors. They have a $50 daily resort fee, but a $25 hotel credit that you can use at Sera and the bar at the pool to get fruit cups or aćai bowls. The $25 credit does not offset the $50 resort fee and it is a use it or lose it daily credit. I mainly used it to get takeout at Sera. The hotel amenities are shared with the neighboring building, Sky. The gym is adequately equipped for basic exercises. There are 2 concept row machines, multiple peloton bikes, elliptical machines and treadmills. None of the weight stations are bolted to the ground so they put a warning not to do pull ups for safety. The pools are heated and children friendly. They have a laundry room which uses quarters. $1.75 for washer and $1.50 for the dryer (30 mins dry time). The hotel room was small and did not have basic toiletries unless you called and requested for certain things. It has a fridge, a nespresso maker, kettle for hot water, a double walled bin for ice. Upon entering the bathroom, there was a very noticeable unpleasant smell. The sink and bathtub had a very bad smell. The shower curtain had mold so I requested it to be replaced. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash were not so pleasant to use so I used my own. The body wash especially had a bad smell that lingered. The towels also had a bad smell probably from an overloaded laundry machine and towels being left out for a long time with inadequate drying. The TV inside the room wouldn't pair with my Netflix account so I had to unplug it and replug it for it to reset and work. The housekeeping staff were not so friendly. They have to cover so many floors so many days, housekeeping did not come to the room to change out towels and make the bed. I had to call for them to come. As far as the service of the front desk staff, they were all very friendly and answered all my questions. The hotel offers a shuttle service to Ala Moana mall, magic island and Waikiki (Banyan tree near Duke Paoa Kahanamoku statue). They will also pick up, but might skip Ala moana mall and magic island since those are walking distance to the hotel. I think for the location and convenience, this hotel is a top choice. It is probably cheaper than hotels in Waikiki. In my opinion, Ala Moana has way friendly services compared to Waikiki. I am not sure whether this hotel offers any Kamaaina discounts for locals. The hotel is walking distance to Kaka'ako as well. read more

A non-vacation thing brought us to the Renaissance Honolulu, which is part of Marriott . I had no idea they existed but it seems they're fairly new, possibly opened in 2024. LOCATION: Located directly behind Ala Moana Center, it consists of two towers, one a hotel and the other a residences (Sky Ala Moana). I loved how close it is to Walmart, Don Quijote, tons of restaurants and Ala Moana Center. PARKING: Valet only, $59/day. RIDE SHARE: Pick up and drop off is at the main entrances. SHUTTLE: The hotel provides a comp shuttle service to Ala Moana Center, Magic Island and the Waikiki Banyan tree every 2 hours. CHECK IN: Chad was great. Very friendly and welcoming. He went over everything and walked us over to the elevators to give us a quick lesson on its digital operation. LOBBY: Modern design that features the Sera restaurant & Paris Baguette bakery, front and concierge desks. ROOM: 3706 is near the top. Views of the city and Ala Wai Boat Harbor are good. There is no balcony but the sliding door does open fully and features a safety window at the bottom half. The room has two comfy queen beds & pillows, blackout curtains, ambient lighting, strong & quiet a/c, smart TV, clothes steamer, stacked washer & dryer, a kitchenette with sink, mini stove and hood vent, microwave, sizable mini refrigerator, original Nespresso machine and pods, hot water maker, pots, pans, utensils and glassware. BATHROOM: Good-sized space with a single basin, bidet toilet, oversized shower/tub, strong water pressure, plenty of hot water and quick drainage. AMENITIES: All the usual bath amenities were provided. Items such as robes, shower caps, shaving/dental kits are available by request. Ice and water machines are offered on varying floors between 16 and 38. A coin operated laundry room, pools, Sway bar, hot tubs, fitness center, BBQ pavilion and Nami Spa are all on floor 8. Room service is available between 7am and 9pm and comes from the Sera restaurant. HOUSEKEEPING: Daily service is a rarity these days and much appreciated. RESTAURANTS: Sera and Paris Baguette, both serve B/L/D. CHECK OUT: Both associates were great. OVERALL: Really great service from everyone we encountered - bell staff, front desk, housekeeping. Staff riding in the elevators always greeted you as they exited. Great location. Beautiful facilities, not overly crowded and we really enjoyed staying outside of Waikiki. read more

After returning home from Vegas I did a little staycation at the Renaissance Hotel &Spa . Fairly new hotel very nice part of the Marriott chain . When I checked in they gave me a free upgrade room to an ocean view . It was a corner unit with 2 side of the glass window one facing Diamond head and the other facing Ala Moana beach . The bathroom was unreal with a tub and a separate standing shower . The toilet was also a bidet. This hotel has a lap pool which needs to be reserved. Along with a nice pool with 2 jacuzzi. This particular hotel is located corner of Kapiolani and Keeamoku. Close to Ala Moana shopping center , Target, Walmart and the Convention center . Kamaaina rates are available based on availability. Stayed at the Renaissance Spa Hotel and had a great experience overall. Shawn at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the start. I stayed on the 19th floor with beautiful city views and a partial ocean view. I spent 7 nights there, and the room was consistently clean and comfortable thanks to excellent housekeeping. It's about a 20-minute walk to Waikiki, which is nice if the weather isn't too hot. Otherwise, the hotel offers a shuttle service that runs every two hours. Uber rides typically ranged from $9-$15, though Lyft was consistently a bit cheaper. There is a $50 daily destination fee, which is provided back as a credit to use at Sera on the property. While the credit is a nice perk, the experience at Sera didn't feel very welcoming. I've shared a more detailed review about that separately. Your skinny white Irish looking male security with the short red orange hair with the receding hairline and big forehead keeps harassing people PARKED ON THE STREET (behind your property on Makaloa) about moving our cars while we're in our cars telling us that we're in a Fire Lane (which isn't marked by the way). Secondly -- since when does private security for the hotel have jurisdiction about what happens on the street, not on your property? This is the second occurrence that this "superhero wannabe rent a cop" has approached me while I'm in my car waiting for my spouse to finish work. I suggest you speak with this gentleman working today (August 10, 2026/Hotel Security made contact with me in person at 4:35pm). My wife and I are here for a two-week work stay, and her service genuinely set the tone for the rest of our visit. Meg was incredibly sweet and patient, taking the time to walk us through our original room category and all the available options in detail, which is something you really appreciate when you know you'll be staying for an extended period. She even offered to personally show us a couple of residence-style units, and actually toured us through them so we could see the layouts, features, and views in person before deciding. The room had a wall kitchen, with an electric range and oven, but all was compact and didn't feel crowded. There was an electric kettle as well as a single-serve coffee machine but the Nespresso machine didn't work. We informed the hotel staff upon check out. We were in a residence-style suite. Bathroom was roomy with a step-in bathtub combo, and an extra closet. It would be perfect for extended-stay travelers. The Sera restaurant bar on the ground floor had a good happy hour menu with a variety of small plates and appetizers. HH wine is $8 vs. regular price of $12, which is stilll good, considering Hawaii (specifically Maui) prices. Bonus: our kamaaina rate saved us over $100 for the overnight stay. I'd return. read more

We stayed for one night to do local shopping and this hotel was just off getting 4 or 5 starts. The hotel is beautiful. Rooms were great until we had sewage smell coming from the bathroom shower. Front desk acknowledged this has been a recent issue. Most employees just did not seem to have much experience or were simply not the best for their jobs. Bellman did not know if there was a laundry room. Front desk did not seem sure of themselves or their job. Crazy with laundry room on 8th floor. No signs to help you. I called front desk who told me to go to Spa center to purchase soap and dryer sheet. When I asked to purchase tokens or coins, they said I had to go to the front desk. There I waited for about 30 minutes in a line to be told they don't have any change at the front desk. I said, wait, someone had to have some for the washer and dryers since the units did not offer ATM or credit cards. They called a manager who brought the coins out. Not sure why she could not help the long line forming at front desk. Just bad decisions. Buffet was hit & miss. I missed out on fish because it ran out and they didn't bring some out until we were leaving. Then I saw an employee place a whole new scrambled egg batch into the buffet with only 5 minutes left for customers. What a waste of food. So few people were in this cafe when they brought it out. Doesn't make sense. And.....no sign to tell you where restaurant is at. You walk through the bar and go around to back side. Weird. I could go on.... Very sad to have to write this. read more

It's been a while since I've stayed in Waikiki, but WOW... this trip reminded me why I love it here and this hotel has officially stolen the crown as my absolute favorite! While it's not right in the middle of the central Waikiki market and beach, don't let that fool you there are endless beaches within walking distance, and for longer stays, the location is actually perfect. You're close to amazing local food spots, fantastic restaurants, and all the shopping you could dream of. Walmart and Sam's Club are just around the corner, Target and the mall are right across the street basically, everything you need is at your fingertips. One minute you're tanning like a beach-loving starfish, splashing around like a mermaid, and the next you're shopping until you drop, collecting souvenirs of a lifetime. Now, let's talk about the entrance absolutely stunning. The moment I walked in, I felt instantly fancy. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the staff. They went above and beyond for our entire family, which meant the world to us given the circumstances of our trip. A special shoutout to Angel from the Spa department a true lifesaver! Angel helped us secure a BBQ gazebo and seating for our big family gathering by the pool, and thanks to them, we had the most amazing day. Speaking of the pool... wow. One huge pool, two jacuzzis, and even a lap pool something for everyone, no matter the vibe. And because no perfect pool day is complete without it, there's a full bar right there, along with the gym, spa, and restrooms. The BBQ area's location made it super easy for us to spread out, relax, and create beautiful family memories. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better setup Angel, you're the real MVP! If you need to decompress (and who doesn't in Waikiki?), the spa is a dream. Fully stocked lockers, showers, a hair-drying station, cold plunge, hot plunge (inside AND outside so you can soak next to the lush greenery), comfy lounge chairs, plus both dry and wet saunas it's pure bliss. If massages are more your vibe, the spa offers endless services to melt away every ounce of stress. And then... the suite. We had a full kitchen with a standard-size fridge, oven, and stove perfect for longer stays when you want to save a little and enjoy meals in. The view? Absolutely breathtaking. The bedroom was spacious, with a separate desk area for anyone working or studying on their trip. And the bathroom... let me tell you, seeing it in person blew our minds. Huge, modern, and even equipped with a brand-new bidet! We saw the pictures beforehand, but nothing compares to experiencing it in real life. It was a pleasure to stay at the newest hotel right across the Ala Moana Shopping Mall. We were here for 9 days and had a great time. The staff was very accommodating. Even got our room was upgraded to a partial ocean view and loved it. Two King beds was more than sufficient. We didn't expect to have plumbing issues the 1st night. The shower got clogged up. We put in a call to the front desk. Happy to report the whole issue was taken care of in less than hour. And, no further trouble for the rest of our stay. Valet parking is free for guest. However, overnight parking is pretty hefty $55. There is street parking free after 6pm but you'll have to get up early to move the care to avoid having to pay. If you plan on renting a car, I was told some people rent them as early as possible and then return them by 8pm before the the rental office closes to avoid fees. If you don't like the sand, there is a pool and jacuzzi on the 8th floor complete with several saunas. Lounge chairs are around with a a few grills if you want to bbq. We also took advantage of the washer and dryer to have clean clothes for the next leg of our trip, the Big Island. Walmart is next door. Target is right across the street. The MARA restaurant I heard is great especially since there's not many Mediterranean restaurants. There are many great places to eat nearby. Foodland Market is across the street if you want to get a Poke bowl. Several options for breakfast too. Yelp it. Ala Moana beach is very close by too. The contemporary setting had a very clean aesthetic. Hardwood floors and large bathroom were nice. Standard coffee was made available. Appreciated that. Would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip. read more

While the rooms, pool, spa, and overall property are truly state‑of‑the‑art, our stay was overshadowed by an unresolved and deeply disappointing issue regarding double‑charged destination fees. We raised the matter with the front desk and later with Che, the Director of Accounting, yet no corrective action was taken despite clear documentation. The lack of resolution has left us with no choice but to pursue formal escalation. We intend to report this incident as fraudulent billing and misrepresentation to the appropriate federal and state agencies, as well as to Marriott corporate and relevant hotel associations. It is extremely concerning that JL Capital and its ownership, including Bronson I. Libed, have declined to address or correct the duplicate charges, even after multiple attempts to resolve the matter directly. read more

The interior design has modern-day art with a cultural influence added to it. From the 16th floor and up, every even number floor has a water and ice machine. The building has the state of the art technology showcasing the motion sensor lighting, fitness equipment, and high-grade digital touch screen HVAC system. The amenities at the property will make staying here very relaxing and comfortable. This was one of the newest Marriott hotel that we've stayed at this year. It was walking distance from Ala Moana shopping center and an easier drive versus from Waikiki to other parts of town. The negatives first since there wasn't much but enough to drop a star: Valet parking only at $55/night. On par with other hotels but still a ridiculous sum to park a car. Lounge was permanently shut down. No breakfast offer for Titanium members which was quite unusual. The positives: Upgraded room with partial view of water. Nespresso coffee. Huge gym with my favorite Concept2 rowers. There was even a punching bag. Lap pool (reservations needed). Multiple steam sauna rooms with hot and cold pools. Large patio and multiple pools that were quite empty throughout the day. Fast elevators. Friendly and responsive staff. Would likely come back and stay again. read more

We arrived at the hotel around 2:00 PM and had prepaid approximately $4,300 in full at the time of booking. We expected to pay only the $48 per night destination fee at check-in and the $59 per day valet-only parking fee upon checkout. Although the parking garage used for valet clearly offers self-parking, hotel guests are required to use valet parking only. Despite this, we were still asked whether we would be using valet or self-parking. When I questioned this, the agent confirmed valet was required but said they still had to ask, which made no sense and added to the confusion. During check-in, the front desk agent requested my credit card and stated I would be charged. Instead of charging only the expected fees, my card was charged an additional $4,300 for the entire stay, despite the reservation already being prepaid. I was initially told there was no record of payment. After providing my receipt and confirmation number, the agent acknowledged the payment and admitted the charge was made in error. Despite this acknowledged mistake, I was informed the erroneous charge could not be reversed until checkout, requiring me to carry a substantial and unnecessary charge on my credit card for the duration of our stay, with an additional 5-7 business days for processing afterward. Operational issues continued beyond this point. Although the posted check-in time is 3:00 PM, our room was not ready, resulting in nearly an hour of additional waiting. Once keys were issued, we were unable to access our room due to intermittent elevator outages. Being assigned to the 29th floor, stairs were not a viable option, causing approximately another hour of delay. After finally reaching our room, our luggage was delayed an additional hour due to the elevator issues. After a long flight, this prevented us from settling in or even showering. I offered to retrieve our luggage myself but was told I would need to do so without a luggage cart or continue waiting. After all of these issues, I asked whether anything could be offered to address the problems we experienced. I was told we would receive two days of complimentary valet parking as compensation. However, after checkout, when I received the final emailed receipt, no valet charges were credited. We were charged for all eight days of valet parking, and despite having already prepaid the stay in full, we were charged an additional $2,043 at checkout. These issues -- including the duplicate charge, lack of immediate resolution, late room availability, elevator failures, luggage delays, and unfulfilled compensation -- fall well below the standard of service expected at a hotel of this caliber and price point. We visit Hawaii every year with family and wanted to try a new hotel. Needless to say, we have already booked next year's trip back to the islands, and we will never stay at the Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa again. read more

Husband booked a suite for our annual family vacation. You can ONLY park Valet at $65/day with in-out privileges. No self-parking. Rooms are nice and modern. Hotel maintenance left so much to be desired. Our room phones don't work. The ice machine on our floor is broken. 1 of 2 spas are out of service. So if you want to use the hot tub, you are forced to sit in 1 at max occupancy. There was no room service unless we went down in person to the lobby to ask... both times service was provided after 4pm when we both returned after the day's excursion. When we asked the lead cleaner if they could come after 4:30pm when we planned to leave the room, the response was "we get off at 5pm". So, it's too much of an inconvenience to get our room serviced from 9am to 4pm or after 4:30pm. When we brought up the housekeeping issues, the front desk gave an excuse that they "have to prioritize rooms being checked out." So here we are in our hotel room trying to re-group with our 11 month old infant while housekeeping does their room tidying because it would have made their job more difficult to come back after leaving. Other than the mall across the street and the hotel being modern, I'm not too sure if I would recommend this hotel. read more

How often does the manager of the valet team go over and above the basic service? In my many years of traveling, I would say not often. It happened at the Renaissance Honolulu this past week. I was talking to Tommy Young, the manager of the valet team and complaining about the high cost of parking at the hotel, which is valet only. Without hesitation he shares with my wife and I that what some guests do is they rent a zip car from DriveHui.com, WHEN they need it, which cuts down on the cost of a rental car and of course the parking fees. He even offered to show us the cars on the 2nd floor that we could rent. Wow, I sure didn't expect that kind of customer service. He was actually thinking on my behalf and my pocket book. We started chatting and we had a lot in common. By the end of our encounter, we felt like we were old friends. I thanked him for all the information and he said "hey, we are family now." I will not forget his kind gesture, even though I will probably still rent a car and use the valet service. Thank you Renaissance for assembling a team that makes us feel we are indeed his ohana. A round of applause for this hotel! I was debating back and forth on where to stay for my husband's 40th birthday with our kids since I usually stay in Waikiki area for convenience. For us, we had an exceptional week long experience here! I would 1000% come back and stay here again, and with other friends and family! Front desk and staff | Mindy, Adrian, and Ariel went above and beyond with their aloha spirit, which I truly appreciate. We stayed on the 38th floor, 1 bedroom, partial ocean view. Just beautiful. At night, it was extra dreamy with the city lights shining through the floor to ceiling windows. Room | I have a family of 5, so we can no longer squeeze on 2 queens, and we def need more space. The pull out sofa was not one of those nasty, creaky, and flimsy ones. It was a king size tempurpedic-like mattress that comfortably fit 3 full grown kids! A one bedroom is perfect. Room with hardwood flooring equipped with FULL kitchen, high end appliances like Sub Zero fridge, and Wolf range! Nespresso machine, microwave, dishwasher, slippers, robes. Let me tell you, if I knew what kind of game changer a washer/dryer was, we would have packed 50% less clothes! No need to buy tons of water, there's a water and ice dispenser right outside the room, and not in a separate scary room like most hotels! Just walk by and fill up! Elevator | Tap your room key, type in your floor level and it takes you straight up to your room! sooo convenient! Food | Amazing. I never expect much from hotel restaurants, but dang, MARA (Mediterranean food) was delicious! It was packed with people every night, like a NY restaurant! Lamill Coffee Shop served good coffee, not my type of taste, but hubs thought it was good. The best part was that they got weekly deliveries of Makua Banana Bread (North Shore), and it's soooo good! A huge shout out to Derrick, the manager for taking the time to chat with me about the restaurant and the hook up on the fluffy pita bread, sooooo yum! Dranks | Roberto and another gal (forgot her name, but I remember she had dimples!) was spectacular. They REALLY want you to enjoy their concoction, especially nice since I'm a light drinker. Pool/Spa/Gym | Complimentary Mini Hydrotherapy - yes please! Need a quick pump, they got you. Clean space and got all the equipment and weights you need. Saltwater pool with 2 jacuzzis, a fake turf area for play, bbq area to cook and lounge with friends, all for your outdoor enjoyment. Valet | $55/night. Yes, it's pricey. This is probably the least favorite part of my stay. You can text the number and they get your car ready. It can be hit or miss with this one though. Sometimes, it was ready to go when we got downstairs, but one time, we waited almost 15 minutes and were late to our dinner reservation 2 blocks away. But eh, no biggie. Honestly, you can't beat valet multiple times a day! Convenience | Walking distance to Ala Moana Mall, Target, Walmart. Close drive to Foodland and Don Quijote. If I could live in this hotel, I would. And guess what, you can! The other side is a residence where people actually live! I def prefer Marriott hotels bc of their attention to detail, and modern design. Renaissance is a newer hotel, and it exceeded all of my expectations. Loves to to stay at 5 star hotels! This place is no exception. Got the 1 bedroom suite on the 35th floor! Amazing! Whats even more amazing is they give you $48 in house credit to use at the restaurants, room service! Beautiful layout, nice kitchen with a sub zero fridge, washer and dryer. The best is the bidet in the bathroom, just like Japan where all hotels have it. The location I love, because it is right across from Ala Moana and tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. Kinda like not having the hustle and bustle of Waikiki! I would stay here in a heartbeat again! You betcha! read more

I will preface this by stating that the day staff here is fantastic. Keep it up. However, the night staff, with the exception of maybe 2 people, are the pinnacle of incompetence and disgrace. Every moment here--outside of the rooms (even though my sheets had a hole in it )--has been a complete and utter nightmare. The night staff are nothing but rude, brainless drones who couldn't care less about customer service. There's Tim (if that's even his name) at the front desk, who defines the word 'disrespectful.' This man has the audacity to speak to my friend as if he were some kind of imbecile, dripping with condescension and arrogance. To make matters worse, as soon as my friend stepped away, Tim started talking behind his back--completely oblivious to the fact that my friend was just around the corner and could hear every word. This man has no place interacting with the public. His presence alone drags my already abysmal opinion of this place even further into the gutter. If this establishment thinks someone like Tim is acceptable front-line staff, then they're clearly as clueless as he is. Next, one of the valets managed to cause property damage to my vehicle, and naturally, I'm the one stuck dealing with the aftermath. Despite having my car for barely 30 minutes, they've taken zero accountability. To add insult to injury, the valet had the nerve to tell us we'd have to leave the car on-site and wait for a mechanic to verify the damage. A few days later, I call to check on the status of my vehicle, only to be told that nobody ever mentioned needing a mechanic and that the insurance claim was already submitted. No updates, no communication--just more incompetence and dishonesty. It's as if they're actively trying to make the situation worse at every turn. But Deja, the so-called 'security guard,' is the real star of this show. I've seen two epileptics share a bowl of Jell-O with more grace than this clueless "guard". She showed up, contributed absolutely nothing but her vacant stare, began recording, and started throwing out threats to call the police, without asking a single question, over damage her own pathetic establishment caused. Her IQ must be in the hell for her to think that was a smart move. The night staff is a complete joke. If you value your time, your property, or even your sanity, avoid this dumpster fire like your life depends on it. This isn't just bad service--it's a hellish descent into the abyss of incompetence. I will never stay at this hotel again. Update 9/18: They declined to repair my vehicle. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Update 9/26: These people caused $4k+ in damages in addition i had to rent 2 cars. This is the worst experience in a hotel I've ever dealt with. Update 10/9: I am just finding out that my claim was auto-denied with no investigation despite the letter mailed to me stating that there was. So now the valet company, Elite Parking, and their (or the hotel's) insurance company, are lying. This place is a joke. The GM should be ashamed of himself. read more

This Hotel is less than a year old. Great location because it's right across the the mall and access to the freeway is way easier compared to staying around Waikiki Services is great. I had a long day trip and Tran who check me was the nicest person I've met on this trip. The club lounge on the 15th floor has an amazing view of Ocean and city of Honolulu. Service at the club lounge also exceeded my expectation. Matias went out of his way to show me how to work the coffee drip machine. Equipment in the gym was up to par on the eighth floor, same floor where that pool area is located. read more
