Extremely disappointed with my experience at Renaissance Nail Salon. Customer service is seriously lacking, and the place itself did not feel clean or welcoming. I called ahead to check availability for both my daughter and me, and was told they could take us. When we arrived, they suddenly said they could only take one of us. After speaking with someone in the back, the front desk said to come back in 30 minutes and they'd take both of us. We came back as instructed, waited about 10 minutes, and they only took my daughter. No one checked on me, no updates, nothing. I ended up waiting over 40 minutes with no communication. The first time, the technician was very rude and cut me several times, but I decided to give it another chance. I had a really frustrating experience at Renaissance Nail and Spa. I walked in for a full set and a pedicure. While I was getting my pedicure done, the manicurist who was supposed to do my full set had no clients but never started my service. Then another client walked in and she began working on them instead. When I asked how much longer it would be, I was first told 30 minutes, and then after another client came in, I was told it would be an hour because she was going to take the new client before me. At that point I paid for my pedicure and left. It felt very disorganized and unprofessional to be passed over multiple times when I had already been waiting. You pay for mediocre services, when you should always receive quality service to DESERVE a tip, YES tips are earned, depending on service that a tip is given. If I could give zero stars I would! Don't go here the service is absolutely horrible. I went on a Saturday afternoon to get a fill and a color change on my toes. I wear acrylic on my toes they put me with a new employee who didn't obviously know anything about pedicure and acrylic toenails, a seasoned tech woukd have known to file down or take off the old acrylic first before adding more. Well this individual after I told her many times if you add more acrylic on top it will be too thick! What did she do add more! I asked her to remove it and redo, she got someone else to come over and look and was advised what to do based on my request! She told her No! She proceeds to her her things walls out of the nail salon . The owner comes over, I tell him What's going on he attempts to find someone else to redo what she did. I did get a different nail tech who did them over just ok! One of the nail techs in the back yelled out she referring to the one that left should be fired, and I agree! After all of that drama I couldn't get my nails done because he didn't have anyone after I booked my appointment! I went up to the front the owner proceeds to tell me she's knew and he would be speaking with her about her behavior! Fast forward, I mistakenly thought I'd give them another chance. I went in yesterday morning 7/12 @ 10:00 no appointment was told to wait 5 mins well 5 mins became 20 mins. I got up went to the receptionist told her I'd come back at 3, she put me down 3:00 pm. I walked in at 2:58 still had to wait about 10 mins for my pedicure! I again was out with another tech who'd derive was horrible! She asked me what package I wanted, I chose the 45 with scrub and gel off. She soaked my feet, didn't address my cuticle until I reminded her, she proceeded too piled more acrylic on my toes after I said not to before removing the old first! Let me also add she was getting ready to polish my toes without even doing my oil to include lotion foot massage! Please tell me what nail salons don't know that pedicures comes with a foot massage! I've been getting pedicures over 40 years and I've always gotten them. I asked her what about my foot masssge she said oh proceeded to take off the the in between toe separator because remember, I said she was getting ready to polish my toes gave me the quickest ever foot rubbed polished my toes with white polish running all over the top, and when I say it was running it was RUNNING! Now my nails there was no one again to then after I booked! The receptionist goes to the back to find someone she walks over to one tech in the back they're standing obviously saying things about me which I could careless. I stayed looking at them then she proceeds to change and speak in English lol! I told the receptionist cancel and I would be leaving a lengthly review! Wait here's the kicker I paid $53 for running nails with mounds of acrylic! No tip from me! I went to Tammy does nails in Fontana explained to her what happened! She immediately put me in with by far the best nail tech ever her name is Vee! She did a beautiful job on my nails took off the acrylic on my toes redid reshaped and polished over. It cost $100 plus my tip of $20 but it was money well spent! I'm so serious when I say don't book here and you see why it's only a 3 star when it should be zero! I have been here twice. My nails came out well both times. They take their time. On neither visit I felt as though they were talking about me. Usually, it's off putting to customers if techs are laughing and conversing in a language that I can not understand. I don't feel that here. Yes they spoke their native language to each other, however it did not seem malicious in their demeanors. The first time I came I received a fill, gel polish, and fixed a nail. Total was $60. They charged me a $3.50 transaction fee which I thought was excessive to the point I researched if that was allowed. In my research I found that Visa allows a transaction fee of up to 3%. Which was double for me. I was charged almost 6% of my tota amount. I really did not like this However, I liked my nails enough to bring cash on my second visit. My issue with this location is their lack of consistency in price and the lack of display of prices. By law customers are supposed to be aware of what they will be charged before any service. On my second visit I received a cut down ($5), fill, fixed a nail, and gel polish. Total was $60. I'm just wondering was I over charged on my first visit? I brought cash this time but when I asked for changed I received they broke my $20 into $5s, of course so I can tip $5 opposed to anything less than that with ones..... Next time I'm bringing cash and singles. I think it's important to follow legal pricing and charging laws. Another thing is they haven't offered a receipt on either visit. Receipts are important for the consumer to know what they are paying for. Get your financials in order Renaissance.... I'll be back. read more

I have NO Problem paying for extras etc. I brought my own Cat Eye Gel Nail Color. The lady should have told me SHE DIDN'T know how to move the magnet. I wanted to CRY WHEN I SAW MY Crooked Toe nails with the cat eye looking like and X!! It was a Jade color that DID NOT NEED WHITE OR BLACK underneath. She made me pick A white base because she said that's how she does cat eye. I ALWAYS get cat eye on my hard gel manicures they do not use a base color. I tipped her because I feel bad not paying people for there time especially in the times we are living. I was charged $58.50. Which I didn't care paying but my pedicure is HIDEOUS.
