Had an after dinner drink here with someone from the area after I asked for a rooftop bar kind of evening. My rum and coke was icy and watery/sweating in its plastic cup. Maybe we can't have glass here because of the rooftop? I like a strong cocktail in a sturdy glass when I indulge so that felt a little under to me. A plus was it was not too busy at 9-10 on a Saturday night in August. The other groups were reasonably mature and there was a bit of free space where the tables were spaced apart enough I didn't hear others conversations and they couldn't hear mine. Good music, nice bartenders (for the most part), cute space, good drinks and (very) casual bites. Overall had a good time, the place was not crowded, everyone was mature and there to have drinks and good conversation. I could have done without the parent who had a group of 10 year olds on a Saturday night at a rooftop bar, but maybe it's kid friendly too. Otherwise it was a good time at a very reasonable price compared to other places in the area. read more

It's a very comfortable setting. The bartender was very friendly, personable, attentive, and accommodating. We tried several of the Signature Cocktails, all were above average. There is a view of the lake. The food is good upscale bar food. read more

We actually went to eat at 1844 (mediocre) but then went upstairs to the crows nest - It was a great experience upstairs. The bartenders were friendly and communicating with us, there was lots of roof top seating and two fire pits. Bags and jenga, great vibes. Would return to crows next but not return to the restaurant 1844. read more

I stopped up at Crows Nest one evening while staying at The Stella Hotel. While amazing in theory, there's probably a bit of fine tuning needed for the next rooftop season. The bar is surprisingly large. In addition to several table options, the bar offers tons of seating. The tall tables at the front edge offer a great view of downtown Kenosha. There were no servers for the tables but that was not a big deal to me. There isn't any food service yet either. Maybe next year. The bartender was efficient and very friendly. The beer was ice cold and the classic cocktails were expertly crafted. The thing that really put me off was the bar area was filled with hotel employees. Still in uniform they were partying it up with their friends that looked like college kids in dorm clothes. Think wrinkled pajama pants and t-shirts with holes. I expected a different vibe at a high end boutique hotel. Not that I am an expert - but I envision swanky music, table service, an appetizer menu and a more sophisticated clientele that doesn't include sweatpants wearing kids on a Saturday evening. I know it is a work in progress and will definitely check it out next rooftop season. read more

Decided to stop by Crow's nest rooftop bar for a drink with my father for his birthday along with my friend and sister. After searching online for any place to have a drink with a patio I immediately took notice when I saw this was located on a rooftop and I knew I wanted to pay a visit because a high up rooftop bar within reasonable distance is something that I would have only expected to find in Milwaukee so I was eager to check this place out and see the view for myself. I was immediately impressed upon arriving and loved how the rooftop has plenty of space to move around with plenty of seating ranging from stools, chairs, and even a cornered couch area which we were lucky enough to grab. While the bar is not huge it's well stocked enough and you shouldn't have a problem finding a drink you enjoy plus they also have a small menu of food available if you're hungry. For drinks we chose the Bombpop, Captain's Punch, and Bourbon Lemonade all delicious with my favorite being the bomb pop which packed a punch and was most visually appealing Plus for food we ordered two of the Brat Flights which each consists of three small bratwurst with honey mustard and sauerkraut on a mini onion roll and were good although I thought the roll was cold and moist like it just came out of the refrigerator but overall enjoyable. Last I would like to mention the view which I would consider to be the best I have personally seen in Kenosha and if a great view of the city is what you're in search for I would highly recommend you make sure to check out the Crow's nest rooftop bar because you will not regret it read more

Let down! Went here over the holiday week. Although the weather was mild, I toured this, the service was slow, and the enthusiasm was lacking. Hopefully they get all the kinks worked out. Great idea, but they need more than an idea. Motivation is key. Great view. Drinks were a bit pricey. read more

Great view. This is not an actual restaurant this is a rooftop bar on top of a nice hotel. Don't expect more and you won't be disappointed

Huge disappointment. My wife and I stopped in last Thursday evening after hearing the Crows Nest located in the Stella Hotel had just opened. Being fans of the Stella and its restaurant 1844 Table and Mash, we had high expectations. Super let down. No table service at all. If you wanted a drink, you had to go to the bar to order. Bar was staffed by very inexperienced staff who had a problem getting my Jim Beam on the rocks order correct. No snacks (complimentary or for purchase) available. Guess they expect you to just show up, smash down a drink or two and leave. There were drink menus on the tables (sort of implied there would be service) offering a limited number of choices of pre-mixed canned cocktails. When walked over to the bar after figuring there was no at table service I found drink selection to be somewhat larger than listed on the table menu, but still limited. We had one drink and left. My observation was most other people there did the same. There was no reason to stay. Nice venue but unless they can fix service, drink selection, and offer some kind of bar nibbles, I can't see this business as a success. We went with expectation of an up-scale location for a drink and conversation and found it was more similar to a cheap rec room experience. Too bad. read more

For a hotel trying to project an upscale image, they certainly ruin it with their rooftop bar. Premixed bottled cocktails, bartender quality you would expect at a neighborhood bar not a high end establishment. Decor is nice, they should match it with product and service. read more

Very disappointed. I was expecting something more than a canned cocktail. I was looking for something a little more upscale. Wont be back.

If I could give a zero star I would Martin and the crows nest were horrible waited over 15 min no drink nothing . They even had a watermelon drink but they said they don't have watermelon than why have it on the menu horrible experience go to the bar downstairs way better service see Morgan or Dravin. Morgan made our drinks to our expectations. Excellent customer service at 1844 Bar. Martin you really need experienced mixologists on roof top. read more
