So the atmosphere is just cool. Small place so it can get loud. The chicken was awesome!!! And our waitress Maddie was the best I ever had in a long time--friendly and very attentive. This was my second time here but I need to come back for their specials! Excellent food. Dessert is homemade. Tonight was key lime pie or death by chocolate cheesecake. But I had to pass. Next time.

I stoped in here as they were a runner up for the best Bloody in Kenosha County. You can rate the bloody two ways- one is how much you can add by way of accessories and the other is the drink itself. I believe the voters missed the mark with this establishment not taking first. As long as the drink comes with a chaser, and has olives The garnish is sufficient for me. This one has a row of bite size pickled offerings including a mushroom, a pepperocini, a Brussels sprout, a few olives, both a lemon and lime wedge and a sliver of a slice pickle. The drink itself has a touch of peppery heat blended in with a very tasty mixture of a rail vodka and mix. This along with a chaser made for a perfect Bloody Mary! The rim is slightly seasoned as well. Walking into a neighborhood bar you never know what type greeting you will receive, but I was welcomed and enjoyed my stop. Worth a visit even if the bloody isn't on your radar!

Oh my gosh. I knew of this local tap for years. I realized I didn't know much about it though. I was surprised to find a bright and cheerful bar, cute dining room and secret backyard patio. Set on Union Park, this quiet little spot is a best kept secret. I was expecting a dark hole in the bar corner bar. What I found was a great spot with fantastic service and delicious brunch. I met my friend there and she surprised me with her doggie. I love that the patio is dog friendly. There are big trees for shade and several seating areas. We had brunch at a picnic table under a big tree. I loved my veggie omelet and homemade toast. My friends had a Greek panini and the Breakfast Special. I had a Mimosa and they had Bloody Marys. What a wonderful Sunday get together. I can't wait to return!

Such a cute little place. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but you walk into a cute horseshoe shaped bar. Once getting past the bar it opens out into a beautiful outdoor patio with lots of tables and umbrellas and trees. Bird houses in the trees brought beautiful little birds around. We had a great little waitress outdoors. Prices were great, my spinach Panini was a bit lacking. Kind of a doughy thing Filled with frozen spinach instead of fresh. The bloody Mary was awesome.

Well-tended full bar with plenty of beer choices, great scratch kitchen, and live music Thu-Sat. That's really all you need in a tavern.

In the heat. Our server was genuinely good when he materialized, which wasn't as often as we'd have liked. Food: the cheese curds earned their reputation. The Mekts burger was fine -- solid, no complaints. The Reuben rolls, however, arrived looking exactly like what they were: a Sysco product plated with minimal ceremony. Hard pass next time. As for the name -- if you're picturing a dock, pilings, maybe a gull or two -- walk outside and squint hard past the road and the rooftops. Big lake's out there somewhere. Technically. Maybe a 3.2 night in a 4.3 restaurant. I'd go back on a slow Tuesday in October.

I ordered the half garbage plate with sausage and bacon. Pro tip: ask the difference between the half and the whole before you commit. The half comes with three eggs. The whole comes with five. Five. I chose wisely. Oh and don't forget the homemade bread smothered in butter! It's clearly a neighborhood staple. People were greeting each other by name, swapping stories across tables, and operating like they've been meeting there every Saturday since 1974. Thankfully, they extend that same friendliness to random out-of-towners who just wandered in hungry. The vibe is energetic and communal, the kind of place where conversations overlap and nobody seems to mind. It has a modern, eclectic feel, but there's also a subtle time-machine quality to it. Like you stepped into the 1960s, just with better coffee and fewer ashtrays. Perfect blend of nostalgic and now.

My friend got the cheeseburger with fries and it was perfect. They have fresh meat, no frozen patties. I got the half order of biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs and it was perfect diner style food. The portions are huge so a half order was way more than enough. My friend had the roast beef omelette and I wouldn't recommend it because the beef was in chunks and was full of gristle. However, everything else was terrific. I didn't have the garbage plate because the portion was huge but it's on my list for next time. Maybe I'll split it with someone because you need to come hungry. Prices are very reasonable but it's cash only.

It happened to be an earlier dinner, so we got the "Happy Hour" menu along with the standard menu. Our server was Mariella "Mari." She was attentive and kind. She was quick, and the whole visit was perfect. We started with the sliders. They come 2 each per order. We chose the meatball slider and Smash slider. When these arrived, we shared 1 each of the slider types. But, much to our surprise, these sliders are more like a full-size burger. We both really enjoyed the Smash Burger more. We followed that with a Pinsas each. He ordered the cheesy garlic, and I ordered the Caprese. Both were good, but the Caprese was better and topped with so much goodness. There are several tables inside and outside for dining as well as a small parking lot and street parking. There is a full bar, although we only ordered water. The lighting is a bit dim, but not too bad. There are several TV. The entrance doesn't have steps. Rather hip spot to check out.
