Fall drinks

I've admittedly never been to Kenosha before, but seemed like a good meeting spot between Chicago and Milwaukee. My colleagues and I were looking for a spot where we could drink coffee, work and eat all day long...and Anna's fit exactly what we were looking for. When my colleagues arrived that grabbed a private room that was the perfect size for our group of 5. It even had a window with a view of the lake! It was private, spacious and comfortable. Once i got thirsty and hungry I got in a relatively short line where I noticed the lovely woman behind the cashier greeted everyone by name and knew details of their lives (like where they went to school). While she didn't know my life story she was just as friendly to me. I ordered an iced latte with oat meal and half a turkey, brie, apple sandwich which came with a bag of chips. It all cost $15, which is pretty affordable next to my coffee and lunches in Chicago these days. They did have a parking lot nearby, but I found street parking right outside. I did get worried about being there past the 2 hour allotted mark, but fortunately no ticket was waiting for me when I got out. There seemed to be so many other cute businesses on the street that I wish I had time to check out, but just another reason to make my way back to Kenosha.

I have always loved this cute coffee shop & cafe. It just keeps getting better & better. The harbor front location is wonderful. The interior is charming with vintage photos and other cute decor. The girls behind the counter are fantastic. Always smiling and helpful. We enjoyed a White Mocha Latte, a Chai Latte and a Matcha Latte. Everything was served hot and full of flavor. Street parking is always easy.

Love this coffee house gem, which sits right on the shores of Lake Michigan. I love sitting near one of the window seats doing my work with a beautiful view of the lake and lighthouse across the way as I have my coffee and treats. Not only do they have great coffee, but they also have several great gluten free sandwiches. The staff is always great serving with a smile and friendly happy attitude, the true Wisconsin way!

Busy delicious coffee breakfasts lunch sandwiches and bakery items. There are inside high top tables and outdoor patio seating! It is located on the harbour of Lake Michigan! It is beautiful ! The egg bagel with cheese add avocado was delicious! The hot honey latte was delicious. You order at the counter pick up coffee at the counter. They bring food to the table. It's also good for carry out! It is located by a Wyndom Garden Hotel ! I will be back .

This place gives cozy east coast vibes, when in reality you are in Kenosha I am a huge coffee shop girlie, so I hold high standards when it comes to coffee shops. The ambiance was *chefs kiss*. The location is 1000/10, right on Lake Michigan. The dirty chai was good, a bit too sweet for my liking (but still damn good). The breakfast burrito was 10/10, especially if you like your breakfast burritos with layers vs omelet style. The lox bagel was super light. The bagel itself was fresh. Definitely recommend checking this place out the next time you find yourself in Kenosha.

Cute spot on the water! Iced mocha is delicious!! This is one of my favorite spots in Kenosha!

Honey croissant

This was a cute little spot to meet up with a friend for coffee and croissants. Their spring specials were too delicious looking to not indulge in and the honey croissant was warm and to die for. There were a lot of little rooms or nooks which was great for privacy and keeping volume down, but inconvenient when they say they'll come bring your order and don't specify they only bring you the food and you have to go back and to get your lattes yourself.

Prosciutto + Mozz Sandwich

Overall, I had a positive experience at Anna's On The Lake. My partner and I went there for lunch today, and I ordered a half Prosciutto + Mozz sandwich ($6) and he ordered a whole Spicy Italian ($13). Though the sandwiches were loaded with so many delicious toppings, they still had integrity. Nothing was dripping out the side when you took a bite, which I really appreciated. Also, I loved the fact that you could get a half sandwich. Six bucks for a yummy sammy with kettle chips included along with a $2.50 can of soda is pretty good value, if you ask me. In terms of ambiance, you can't beat the view of Lake Michigan from the outdoor seating area. It's beautiful and serene. However, the volume of the restaurant at lunch time is pretty high and the tables don't seem to be wiped down very frequently. I had to grab a napkin to clear off a lot of crumbs and condensation from the patron who occupied the spot before us. Though our sandwiches arrived quickly, the process of ordering them wasn't the best. We were there around 11:30 a.m. on a weekday and the line was backed up to the door. There's only one cashier and we stood in line for more than 10 minutes before it was our turn to order. Despite those complaints, I'd definitely return to Anna's On The Lake next time I'm in Kenosha. I'd even recommend it to folks looking for a quick, high quality bite to eat.

Lox bagel and breakfast burrito

What a lovely and peaceful spot! My fiancé and I stopped here for a light lunch on our drive from Chicago to Milwaukee. We snagged a table next to the window and enjoyed our lox bagel, breakfast burrito and coffees while watching fish jump in the lake :)

Anna's is adorable on the inside. It's a coffee shop/cafe vibe that has much more seating than you would first think. We stopped in to try out the coffee and ended up getting some food too. The selection is varied enough on both that everyone should be able to find what they like here. The coffee came out super quick. I had the cold brew and added almond milk. The coffee tasted great, it wasn't over roasted or watered down. It was robust and the flavor carried through the almond milk. The others at the table had lattes and loved them. The food was amazing too. I had the Avocado Toast, which I almost always get when it's available, and I loved the sourdough base. It was toasted perfectly and held the rest of the ingredients without issue when I picked it up. The avocado was literally picture perfect and creamy. The balsamic glaze mixed with microgreens and cheese for a topping was a great combo. Lucky for me, someone else was only able to eat half of their Spicy Bacon Cheddar so I got to taste it too. This sandwich was a show stopper for me. The spicy sauce wasn't super spicy (though that's my normal preference), but is was sumptuous. Combine that with the bacon, egg, cheese, etc and the sandwich was amazing. This is a great place to stop if you're looking for a good cup of coffee or a light bite to eat. I believe there is an Airbnb upstairs too so if you have visitors coming into town you could have a great one two combo for a place to stay and have morning coffees.

Nice views (on a nicer day).

Service was okay. The food isn't bad it would be nice if they had a few more options. The drinks I had were good. The best part is the view.

We knew it would be a good place when we came in at 230 pm on a Friday and it was already pretty hopping. We grabbed a drink and settled on a couch to play one of the many games they had available. We were about to head out when one of the staff asked if we wanted to go on the tour for free since it was their customer appreciation day and we said definitely. And all I can say is you should definitely go on the tour if you have a chance! The tour was awesome and I loved all the history it covered, both about the building, location, and beer. A full pour of beer was included halfway through, and you got another beer at the end as well as some additional swag. The beer itself was very tasty and they have a huge variety to suit everyone's taste. From sours to ales to stouts they've got everything. We didn't give their food a try but I can safely say when we go back we definitely will!

Our burger club always ventures a little further out during Thanksgiving and the summer when our…read moreschedules are a little lighter, so in 2025, we ventured out to Kenosha for The Garage. It was a weeknight, but the street we were driving up to get here was a little dark and run down. But don't let that deter you. They have a nice sized parking lot for their location. Then we walked inside and found a narrow room with a bar running the length of one long wall and counter height tables and chairs perpendicular to the opposite wall. They really jammed in as much as they could in the space that they have. The ambience was dark and moody. They were playing hard rock and the bar had a couple of regulars sitting inside. At the end of the bar at the far end, was a cubicle of a kitchen. That's where the magic happens. Their menu is simple: appetizers, burgers, and build your own burgers. That's it. We all built our own burgers and they have a LOT of options. However, the build your own may start at $9, but each topping adds to the cost. But who cares? The burgers were phenomenal! Their website clearly states, "Best burgers, ever." And they're not wrong. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I have ever had. And everything is made in this tiny area at the end of the bar. We were the only people in the place after about 20 minutes, but again, who cares. The staff were extremely friendly. Their playful banter and bickering when they cleaned up was hilarious to listen to, and they were lovely to talk to as well. One of our group wanted to pick up some Spotted Cow beer (you can't get it in Illinois) and asked about a place to get it nearby. They suggested Shenanigan's with a drive-through just a couple blocks away. We have to make another trek back. They are awesome and their burgers are great, too!

Wow! They weren't playing about that creation. Big, juicy, with chicharrones spilling out of the sides. My brother never looked happier. But honestly, besides the delicious food, stop by and say hi to Bear. He made a regular lunch an adventure. Great conversations, easy going and just a great guy!

We got a table right at the main entrance and we were served promptly and pleasantly. I got help with ordering, which can be common for first timers, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. They have a nice tap list so getting a cold, refreshing beer was a must! My one critique if you will, the fries were limp.. not soggy but definitely not crispy. I didn't even bother finishing them, but the burger was filling enough that it didn't matter much. The only parking option I saw was on the street. Inside it's attractive with its own nautical character. Its food menu is burger centric and is kind of complicated to figure out. You complete a form that itemizes the kind of burger, fries, etc that you want. Even my waitress tried to help me and she got confused. Ha! I finally ordered a bowl of their beer cheese soup to start for $10.45. I then added an 8 oz grass fed beef burger with hand cut fresh fries for another $12.45. Yes, it was more food than I needed but I wanted to try the beer cheese soup which was delivered first with 4 pieces of sourdough bread. The soup was delicious being rich in cheesy flavor with cheese strings and bacon bits on top. It was a full bodied flavor soup and with the bread I could have made a meal of just this. After finishing the soup, the burger and fries appeared. It was a hearty and very good tasting burger on a quality bread bun. Also the fries were very good tasting with a good potato flavor. I couldn't finish it all but I wanted to. With a drink and tax it was about $28 before tip. I'm glad I had lunch here.

It was when we attempted to go in that we noticed that they did not open for 15 minutes. Thus the empty parking lot. What happened over the next 15 minutes was something we have never experienced before. Cars began pulling in 2 and 3 at a time. People were walking up in groups to stand and wait for them to open. Keep in mind this was December and it was pretty cold outside. The closer we got to the time they opened, the more people that arrived. It kind of felt like black Friday shopping. People kept lining up and before you knew it, the parking lot was almost full. Wow. All for good reason as we got inside. Tenutas' is a one stop shop. They have pre-made foods, frozen foods, deli hot food, alcohol, of course some cheese, you name it. We picked up some Italian sausage, some frozen ravioli with their homemade sauce and a pack of their Italian beef. We really enjoyed the ravioli and the homemade sauce was delicious. Being a Chicago guy, the Italian beef was good, just not Chicago quality. The mild Italian sausage was very good and we look forward to enjoying the additional links that we have left.
