This is our new favorite crawfish spot. My wife and I flew into hot springs for the day and were recommended Rendi's. I was skeptical because I never much cared for crawfish, my wife however used to work at a crawfish restaurant and loves them. We both walked up to the window and were greeted by Rendi who was absolutely awesome. She's so nice and helpful and came and talked with us while we ate. The crawfish itself was the best my wife has ever had, and me being "not a crawfish fan" changed as well. We ordered 2lbs with pork and crawfish boudin and came back to the window for another helping. I'm officially a fan of crawfish, and am excited to take home the tub of seasoning they offer as well.

I started going to Rendi's in 2011 I believe. It's been a while. It was amazing and I haven't stopped going ever since. She has the best crawfish in town. I love her seasoning. I usually request them extra spicy and I'll purchase some lemons for a lemon rain on top. So good! Rendi is very kind. It's always a positive experience. A number 2 with a Cajun sausage is my go to order. These bad boys are big too. Twist the tail, suck the head and eat the claw meat.

    A pile of deliciousness

Hard to find! Cool…read morelittle home-grown orchard chock full of well-cultivated Muscadine vines, a couple different varieties, weighed down with delicious muscadines. We came hunting for a "Pick your own muscadines" spot where we could pick up fruit for our homemade wine, and this was just the ticket! FYI, cash only, just saying :) After winding up and down, left and right, through tiny country roads, enjoying the scenery enough to make a few wrong turns, we found this little gem down a narrow dirt road that opens out (barely) to a small muscadine vineyard. We were greeted as we stepped out of our cars by Alan, who is the one-man band here! Alan runs the business out of a pop-up canopy next to the vineyard, he's got a stash of buckets for you to use while picking, and then some cardboard flats for you to take home with whatever you get. Keep in mind it is seasonal, open from late August through October, harvest only. Call ahead! Alan is a really nice, helpful guy. He walked us through the process, helped us pick a little while telling us all about the vineyard, the types of muscadines, the best ways/places to pick them - and the jam. Oho, that jam! He makes homemade jam that's a nice bonus along with the fresh fruit. Super informal, very relaxed and laid back. Heck, I'd go out just for the drive and a few muscadines!

The mixed papusas were amazing! A bit a savoriness with the fluffy bread. The cheese one was interesting but more bland since it didn't have the same savoriness and we're still not quite sure what loroco is but it does taste similar to a mild broccoli. The tamalito tasted like a sweet cornbread which was fun to try but too sweet for us overall. Service: 4/5 - language difficulty where we had issues with ordering Pupusa Queso y Loroco and they charged for Pupusa Loca. The pricing was all over the place as we were initially quoted $20 then $9 for removing a $5 Pupusa Loca. Not sure why as didn't complain to anybody to get an explanation. Food was decent. Read someone's review about chowder being watery. They either fixed it or had a bad batch. It was good and thick. The crab bisque was no good. Just weird tasting and can't explain how. Had trigger fish which got charged for dinner when we were at lunch and didn't know. It was good the lemon jerk was a nice flavor. The butter potatoes enjoyed and is swimming in it but liked it. The mango cole slaw was just ok. Wouldn't do it again. The crab was crab, not bad. Still was expecting it to be worse as seems like a tourist spot. But not bad. The chocolate mousse thing was great and not too rich as finished the whole thing :)

When we arrived, we requested a table by the front window so we could be away from the walkway where dogs pass through the restaurant. The hostess told us she would do her best to accommodate our request after about a 45-minute wait. When our table was ready, another hostess, Alley, seated us at the back of the restaurant instead. When my mother pointed out that the front window table was still empty, Alley told us it was reserved for an interview. Later, I walked by and saw that same table occupied by another party. When I questioned Alley, her explanation suddenly changed to "confusion." To make matters worse, the manager, John, later confirmed there was no interview taking place that evening. We were given multiple, inconsistent explanations for why we couldn't have the table we requested. As African American customers, it was troubling to be told the table was unavailable, only to later see a white party seated there after we had been told it was reserved. I cannot say why that happened, but I can say it left us questioning whether we were treated fairly. What disappointed me even more was management's response. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, John repeatedly defended the hostess and offered different explanations instead of simply apologizing. Although our meal was eventually comped, neither Alley nor John apologized for what happened. I later emailed management describing the incident in detail and never received a response. Ignoring a customer after an experience like this only reinforces the impression that our concerns were not taken seriously. Customer service begins long before the food reaches the table. Honesty, respect, and accountability matter. Unfortunately, we did not receive those that evening. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
