This little gem is located in the 233 residential/office building in the Northwestern Memorial Hospital complex. The spa is quiet and clean. The service is old school Eastern European and top notch. They take their time and treat their customers better than most of the day spas downtown. My nails always look perfect when I leave. The pedicures and massages are so relaxing. Wow. I am a first time client after decided that I needed a little bit of self care today. And care of me they did! A lovely and very clean old school European day spa in a NW campus office building. I wasn't sure what type of massage to come in for, but the ladies and my masseuse Anna helped me to decide on a deep tissue massage because of how tense and tight my back / shoulder muscles were. Love this spa...I've been coming here for years since I live nearby. My recent visit was quite the success in terms of noticeable results. I booked an appointment for a facial with the owner, Renee...awesome, kind woman who really looked my skin over and recommended facial treatments specific to my skin type. Often times, spas may try and sell you expensive and unnecessary treatments and add-ons, but Renee knew what I needed which was a Microdermabrasion and some serious extractions. All I know is that my skin looked and felt so clean and smooth for days after. The estheticians take the time to review your skin and suggest what's best for you, even if it's a simple European Facial. All in all, the staff is very friendly, attentive and knowledgable. As for the spa, it's very clean and more of an intimate, relaxed / quiet setting vs loud and bustling, which I prefer. I highly recommend!! read more

I've had two deep tissue massages with Anna, and both experiences were excellent. I experience tension in my upper back and shoulders, and she was attentive and thorough in addressing these areas. The value for the price is high, particularly for a downtown location. The space does not have all of the bells and whistles of high end spas, but it is clean and welcoming, and the service and quality of the massage were both wonderful. The mani/pedi was great, one of the best I've had in a long time. My hands & feet have never been so smooth! This day spa is nothing like what is portrayed in the website. It's in a small office building. I felt like the robe they gave me to change in was dingy and they charged my friend $18 for a polish change that later that same day fell off. Our services were rushed, and not done according to the detailed explanation on the website. We quickly learned that even though a group of 5 girls spending well over $400 was out shined by a group of 10 girls that came in shortly after us. Very clean, professional, and great service!! Came in from a long flight on a Friday and they got me in as a walk-in for a 60 min deep tissue massage. The owner and staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. The massage itself was fantastic. She paid attention to what my needs were and there were some nice little touches like a warm aromatherapy mask during one part of the massage. I felt like I was floating when I walked out of there. The price was a little higher than I usually go for ($100 for 60 min) but it was definitely worth it. The location could be tough to find if you don't call first. The entrance is around the corner on Erie and they're up on the 4th floor. Definitely will be back next time I'm in Chicago! read more

I try to get a massage once every other month or so, but I usually go to my go-to bare bones place near where I live. But since I was in town on Miracle Mile and crunched for time I guess I had to splurge. And man was it worth it! I called at 10:55 to see if they had any openings and they said to walk right over for an 11:15 appt. Anna welcomed me and seated me right away. Then she led me to the private message room. The table was heated and had a nice cozy blanket. Anna was AMAZING. Even though I didn't mention my shoulders as a point of concentration, as soon as she found those knots she kneaded away with a vengeance! I enjoy extra firm pressure and she was just perfect! When I turned over she placed a "sandbag" herbal eyecover on my face and it felt and smelled so luxurious. I told her I would love to return the next day but it was her day off. Called for a last minute appointment, in a rush. The owner was so jovial and sweet, the staff there is super friendly and accommodating. I was amazed that they were able to get me in when last minute, and they worked together to perform miracles. Seriously. They were able to help me with a leg, arm & brow wax and a pedicure within a very short span of time to fit my schedule. I was sad that I couldn't stay and enjoy the spa treatments more! I had an amazing experience here. The people are so nice and are excellent at what they do. I had a waxing it was one of the most painless waxings ever. My waxer, who was the owner, really made sure that she got everything. The environment was extremely peaceful there was calming music playing during my waxing. My mom came with me. She had her massage done by Jagoda. My mom said it was amazing. Her massage was so relaxing and got out the knots in her back. My mom left feeling refreshed and peaceful. I had a great experience at Renee Day Spa. I won a Spa Space gift certificate from B96 (No I did not Smack Down Showbiz Shellly) and since this place is only a block away from my apartment I figured I would use it here. I got a french manicure and a hot stone massage....AMAZING. The french manicure took a quite awhile because she delicately painted my tips without having to "erase" any of the white polish. Very talented. My hot stone massage was absolutely incredible. I left feeling deeply relaxed and like I was floating on a cloud.
