We have had State Farm for about 5 years. You never know how good your insurance is until you have to use it. First we had a house fire a few years back. Craig was on top of it. of course they want to make sure you are alright but then they get everything in motion so that you can get your house back together as soon as possible. it was such a seamless process. On a more recent occasion, I received a letter from State Farm saying we needed to get together to make sure all the house stuff was where it needed to be. I was afraid that this meeting was going to cost me more. it wasn't that at all. I've had the same insurance company for 16 years, but no longer live where that agent is, have a house now and a baby on the way. I figured it might be time to shop around for some cheaper rates while we add on life insurance. I got a flyer in the mail about this office and so decided to call to get a quote. Firstly, while they were super friendly, I was on the phone for an HOUR just to get the initial quote information across (on July 24th) I work full time so my time is limited. Once the quote came to my email I looked it over and seemed good. Since we were changing both auto and home I had some reservations and it took a couple of weeks to decide, but finally my husband and I decided to make the change. The auto rate was exactly the same as what we were paying but we would save a lot on the home. We made an appointment to go sign up, and learn more about life insurance rate options. Again, nice enough to accommodate us on a Saturday, but again, were there for 2.5 hours. When we started to discuss the auto policy, magically there had been a "rate increase" as of the first of August...they didn't know that the rates were going to increase 6 days after providing us a quote? I think they did and chose not to disclose. Obviously we would have made our decision a little faster had we known about the rate increase. We got life insurance quotes and figured it would be best to go through the evaluations, phone calls and then make a decision on our option, but we decided to proceed with home and auto because the rate increase wasn't significant enough to offset our savings. So we paid for our first month auto policy. The next week, my husband and I both spent a good 25 minutes on the phone answering life insurance call questions and the week after that had our health check. We should be good to go and were excited to be saving some money, have a friendly office to go to with questions and focus on the arrival of our new baby. The next week, that all ended. Three and a half weeks after our switch and payment, I get an email that they didn't know about my husbands tickets and that our auto rate would increase by $80/month. EIGHTY DOLLARS PER MONTH! I had a few issues with this. 1) they're system is connected to the DMV they took our DL numbers and copies the day we signed up, they should have been able to see the tickets that day...2)$80/month?! it's not like they are reckless driving tickets or something. 3) If they couldn't see it that day, why 3 weeks?and ironically after jumping through all the life insurance hoops?! Being 6 months pregnant, the last thing I needed was to start my search all over again. They told us they cancelled the coverage change (and luckily...but also concerning, my previous insurance hadn't processed the cancellation yet, don't know if it was the fault of this office or my previous insurance) and we were still paying the monthly on my old insurance, so we just needed the first month back. SIX weeks after paying that initial month, we still haven't received a refund, so I disputed the charge with my credit card. Imagine our surprise this past Friday when we received a bill in the mail for the auto insurance policy we cancelled 3 weeks ago! My husband called and the person at the call center said we were still active. How incompetent can you be? This office is shady and just looking to "sweet" talk people into how nice and personal they are, all the while just trying to pull the wool over your eyes and make a buck anyway they can. My advice...STAY AWAY from this office. read more

She helped streamline our insurance needs and set up an easy payment plan through an auto-debit system. There have been several claims filed on the two vehicles and each one was handled professionally and most of all, quickly by Renee and her staff and the State Farm Adjusters assigned. One repair, a ripped convertible top, was not done correctly, and she made arrangements for the shop to correct the problem at no additional cost.
