The girl with the hair cutting cape did my pedicure and no complaints about her personally, she was really nice. But I felt it was unprofessional for her to do the pedicure with foils in her hair. At the end of the pedicure while I was sitting with the paraffin wax (she said 10 minutes), she went to sit under the dryer with her foils, then with the other employee to wash out her foils AND then the hair dresser blow dryed her hair and they talked about the finished look while I continued to sit there well last ten minutes. The whole experience was extremely unprofessional and I wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone.

We had to wait about 20 mins past our booked time but we were fine with that. The seating area is neat and very comfortable. Once they were able to start working on us, we had a great time. The lady who did my nails was super nice and kept up a great conversation. The manipedi we got was fantastic too. We booked and came at around 6 pm because we had just finished work, and since it takes an hour each for a mani and a pedi, our treatment went all the way ti closing time. The ladies were super nice and even stayed til the last second just so that mine and my friend's nails would have a better chance of drying and setting before we had to head out. They even helped us put on our coats, purses, and shoes just so that we wouldn't mess up our new nails. Thanks ladies!

She cut my sides and bangs VERY short, nothing like what I SHOWED her I wanted. I told her I wanted something feminine, hair on the sides I could sweep forward, and even showed her a past photo of when my bangs had been butchered (I told her I feel anxious every time I come to the salon because of awful cuts I've received like it) and she went ahead and cut them too short anyway saying that we would start with that and could always cut them shorter if I wanted. I showed her photos of what I thought was feminine vs young and funky. I did NOT get feminine. (I'm also 50!) I asked that my highlights not be spikey, I showed her a photo with more chunks, but was given spikey - and a copper colour, not the auburn I asked for. I returned a few days later to ask her to shave the sides and back one shorter so there was contrast between the top and sides. I felt the need to talk to her about how upset I was. While talking I told her that I was very disappointed with my cut and that it wasn't what I asked for. She agreed with me that 1) my head was an odd shape now with this cut 2) that it was NOT going to grow out nicely (another thing I told her was important to me and after two weeks it is already sprouting up in odd spots), 3) to keep my cowlick in mind (big hole there now that she agreed was hard to deal with) and 4) I should probably see a barber next time instead of going to a salon because they would be more qualified with a cut like this. With tip (that I absolutely regret paying) I paid over $250 for this. She seemed nervous during the cut, she didn't show me the sides or back with a mirror so I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home, and when you go to pay and the guy at the counter can't muster up a "you look great!" (despite what he thinks), it makes you feel awful. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning. She couldn't even offer the slightest apology.

I booked with Mai for the first time in hopes to get my nails done for my birthday this weekend…read more She sent me an email the day before my appointment asking me to confirm and change my phone number on my profile, so I confirmed and didn't know how to change my number through her website -- which I thought I could get her help with once I got to my appointment (because I confirmed my appointment through email). The next day I showed up for my appointment and we started my nails, 15 minutes later another client walked in stating she had an appointment. So, Mai checked her schedule and the booking was for the client that had just walked in. Mai began to yell at me about not changing my number and said that I didn't confirm my appointment so she cancelled it. I showed her my email and told her that I did confirm but she continued yelling about me not confirming. She stated that she thought I was fake or a scam because I didn't text her beforehand. I told her again that I confirmed through email. I apologized for the misunderstanding between us but she was still upset. She told me to move out of the chair and wait until she was done her client so I moved -- but, I was in shock about how she had just handled everything and how badly she treated me as a first time client. I've never been yelled at by any nail tech, lash tech, or hair stylist up until then. I told her I would pay her for work on my one hand and would leave but she told me just to wait and not to pay because she wasn't done. By that point I was holding back tears and just wanted to go home, so I told her I would leave and go back in 30 minutes but I never did end up returning because of how hurt I was by her behaviour. She was persistent on getting me to stay so I felt that I had to lie in order to leave. I myself am an eyelash technician and couldn't imagine ever treating any of my own clients that way, let alone first time clients. She lacks in professionalism. Moral of the story, if you are going to book with her for the first time make sure she texts you instead of emailing you. To her, you're not a confirmed client if you aren't texting. Do your best not to upset her either because she will yell and argue with you. I cried all the way to a salon where I got the work removed!
