I went with a stylist named Dahlila asking for a very small trim and to redo my layers since they grew out. she proceeded to cut my hair 4-5 inches more than we originally planned. I repeatedly told her to please keep my length because I've had many people cut my hair way too much. I am very disappointed and upset because I lost all my length. read more

The front desk should of been a giveaway the lady is so rude & talks over you, I asked for a blond specialist & was quoted 170$ ended up paying double the consultation & getting my hair ruined. I was booked with a beginner but found out until I was in the middle of my service. If the stylist isn't trained or isn't comfortable with that service they should not be taking people. This was my first time at Renew. I found my hair stylist Anastasia from a FB post and figured I would try someone new. Wow did I make the right choice! She is fantastic. She did a complimentary appt to discuss what I want to do. She listened to me and booked my actual appointment right away for the following week. I did a color and cut and could not be happier. Diane is an amazing stylist. I have been getting my hair colored and styled from her for last 15 years and she has always done a terrific job. I love this place! It just feels like a sanctuary! It's peaceful and classy yet warm and inviting. Everyone is always so nice and helpful. I usually come for massage and hair but I can't believe the no-chip manicure I just had. It lasted 3 weeks and my nails grew longer than they've ever been before. Just got my 2nd no-chip. Attention everyone, now that i have time to post. This is the makeup artist that was supposed to come to my house on my "wedding day"! March 19, 2016. I didn't receive a call or a text informing that she wasn't going to come, just a no show! In this kind of industry you just don't do this to someone on their wedding day! Very unprofessional. Do not trust this lady right here....VANESSA BARAJAS, especially if you have a special event. I tried calling her several times and sent texts to her the day of the wedding and no response. Do NOT use her services. She works at the Renew Salon in Oswego right off of 34. Luckily for me I did my own makeup for the wedding and was able to have 2 wonderful people save the day. Liked the haircut that the stylist gave my 8 year old daughter, disliked the atmosphere. The stylist next to my daughter's gave her client an entire bottle of wine throughout the course of my daughter's haircut (only 45 minutes!) which resulted in the client being very loud and loose with her mouth. There were many profanities being thrown around that I did not appreciate my daughter being exposed to. read more

So I asked how much they charge for a blow dry with style and they told me $35 over the phone but it can go up and I had a special event that day. So I went and they had someone young doing my Hair. I told this person I wanted bounce Hair with the curl brush and blow dryer and not sure what's going with the salons. maybe they making it in purpose to charge more that she didn't do it right my Hair was really puffy I felt horrible and I told her you know what use the curly iron to fix it and she did what i told her to do. Instead of her making suggestions or helping me with the bad job she did with my hair. I told her I had an event that day and even tho I told her I looked like a Lion. So once she did it with the curly iron I was done and I didn't like it and I needed to leave. I paid $45 bucks for all that and I don't like to argue with people so I paid their money. I will never come here no more. Imagine if I want to do something else how my Hair is gonna look like. read more

I had been coming to Renew exclusively to get my nails done by a technician I followed from another Spa. I had a standing appointment on my calendar for ever two weeks for over 9 months. I came in and was told I had no appointment. Diane never once apologized for the error or took responsibility at all. All she would have had to say was " I am so sorry this happened, let's make it right" instead all I got was reasons it was mine or someone else's error. After we worked out the schedule I received an email telling me I was no longer welcome at this Spa. Diane was not professional in how she acted and has terrible customer service skills. As a long standing customer I expected more courtesy and professional. I will miss my technician but certainly not the arrogance of this associate. read more

I love this place! Ashley S. Is my hairstylist and always does a phenomenal job! There is a lot of teamwork at this place, and that is very refreshing to see in a salon. This place is the best.. Very friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable stylists. Barb is the best with cuts, always listens and the color is just right. They only use Aveda products the best of course!! Been going here for about 5 years and never been dissatisfied. Great job and thank you all read more
