A few hours before my appointment, I received multiple calls asking me to reschedule to a different time and told it was a different therapist. The cancellation period was already in effect so I had no ability to change anything on my end. I adjusted my work schedule to make it happen, only to then be told Dino decided he would still take my appointment after all at the new time. I confirmed the new time and showed up on time for my now 5:30 appointment. When I arrived, the receptionist told me Dino "went on lunch and never came back," and I was reassigned to another therapist with no notice or explanation. They also told me that the therapist would not be getting to me until after her current client, but assured me not to worry because I would still receive my full time. Before the massage even began, I clearly explained that my upper back was the focus area due to significant knots, and I specifically asked for my neck to be avoided because I recently had a CT scan done on a lump that's bothering me. Despite making this very clear multiple times, about two minutes into the massage the therapist worked aggressively around my neck until I asked her to please stop. The massage didn't start until 5:45pm itself and felt rushed and unintentional, the room and/or therapist smelled strongly like cigarettes, and to top it off, my "90-minute" massage ended at 6:57pm. That comes out to about 72 minutes of actual massage time instead of the full 90 minutes I paid for. I told the receptionist this as she was asking for gratuity and she told me that was 90 minutes, however, the 90 minute mark would've been 15 minutes later than her telling me I was incorrect. A full 90 minute massage that started on time would've ended at 7, however, a late massage starting at 5:45 would've ended at 7:15. Overall, this experience felt incredibly unprofessional, disorganized, and dismissive of both my time and my concerns. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was honestly unacceptable and I hope to bring awareness to those who are expecting a different experience like I was.

She gave me some suggestions to stretch and strengthen that region, and told me it would likely help my shoulder pain. My therapist also seemed to be flexible, which I like. I imagine if I continue to go back to that location and receive care from her, she will quickly learn what pressure I enjoy, my problem areas, etc. Price: 3/5 - I feel like the price is reasonable. The introductory rate is really good and when you add on an extra 30 minutes it's only $1/min. But if you're not a member (monthly), or on the introductory plan it can be a bit on the pricey side for the kind of spa service you're getting. I believe it's about $110 for 50 minutes. There are definitely some hotel spas around Scottsdale that are only $135 for 50 minutes, but you also get access to many more spa features (saunas, hot tub, pool, steam rooms, etc). So if you're planning on going more than once, grab a membership, it's definitely the most cost effective option. Our biggest complaint was that we didn't schedule the 80 minute appointment. 50 minutes is just too short. It almost feels like you're just getting going and then you have to leave. We'll definitely be back though!

If I ever have a question, concern or suggestion, the owner has met me with open ears, ready to do what it takes to keep customers happy. Second, they hire great therapists. As in any industry, turnover on some level is expected, but this small local business has therapists who've been with them for over a decade! I tend to have my "regular" and favorite therapists, but if scheduling is a challenge, the front desk is happy to consider my needs and preferences in recommending a new therapist they feel might be a fit - and I've never been disappointed. Thirdly, the space is comfortable, well appointed, clean and feels safe. Getting body services can feel vulnerable - they have created a culture and atmosphere that (as a woman) makes me feel SAFE! Also, when booking, you can mention your preference for a male or female therapist - a nice touch! And lastly, their price points and membership option make regular self-care accessible!! The service includes your consultation, where they go over a Scalp Analysis to see if there are any issues. From there, they tailor your service based on your scalp results. My service started with a warm oil pre-cleanse with warm Rosemary oil and Scalp Massage, a Detoxifying & Clarifying Wash, then a Soothing & Calming Cleanse. Then she moved onto the facial using a Hydrating Facial Enzyme, and then added the Botanical Bond Healing Hair Mask with a 10-min steam. After my service, my hair was brushed out. (Or if it was longer, they would have braided it, which I appreciate.) My only suggestion would be to include a quick blow-dry at the end instead of having guests leave with wet hair or braids.
