This company has the worst service of anybody I have ever dealt with Bought a French door Took 2 months for them to manufacture the door, then when it arrived it has been damaged in shipping. They did not inspect it before bringing it out to install, then they said it was an easy part replacement so they could install it and order the parts. Multiple calls and a lot of time trying to get them to respond with when the parts would be ready and installed. Never called back and never answered the phone. had to leave voice mails and requests on the web page for service just to get a call days later Then they discovered that not all of the parts were ordered (4 weeks wasted) Another 4 weeks and the parts arrived, the parts were either bad or the wrong ones for my door, they had to be re-ordered (another 4 weeks) On top of this the technician has been out twice because the door was not checked after install and the door lock would not work, gasket around door was bad and the door would not open and close properly. I am now 4 months into this mess and it still is not correct Called them again and asked to speak to a manager She was out, like always Nobody is ever in, speak to a lot of voice mails Was told the she would call me back the next day, yeah right Never received a call from here Never do business with this company I am from Monument Colorado, not SF read more

I received 4 quotes to get 27 windows installed in my condo. Renewal by Anderson was by far the most expensive. I did not use this company. It was horrible trying to get their sales people out of my house. Now more than a year later different salesmen come by saying they see the new windows but what about a new security door? I've asked several times not to be contacted again but no one can direct me to one place to stop what I'm calling harassing door to door sales. I would never give this company my business. We have replaced about 10 windows and a sliding glass door so far, and will continue with Anderson. They really have a great product that does reflect on our energy bill, over the standard contractor windows that were in the house when we bought. Their scheduling/communication between office and install could use improvement, but otherwise a good company with which you can upgrade your home. We have had one issue, where the latch on the sliding door broke, and Anderson sent out John Liggitt, who was very professional and replaced the latching mechanism quickly, and at no cost to us. I thought I was doing business with a reputable, dependable company - apparently not. My windows are supposed to be installed today but because it snowed (surprise, it's Colorado, the weather people predicted it), they called to be rescheduled. This is not okay and I told them they needed to install as scheduled and PROMISED today. They called before the install to ensure I was ready, all my window coverings down, everything at least 3 feet from the window - we knew about the snow then. I have stuff on my tables, stove, shower, no window coverings! Am I the only person that works that they think it's not big deal to have a day off for planned install, that they can just reschedule at a whim? Do they not understand the inconvenience of not making their schedule? I want my install to happen today as scheduled!!!!! read more

Don't believe the salesperson when they quote you a time to have them installed. I was given assurances during the sales appointment and also had dates within my agreement, and they were flat out lies and they didn't care. They then tried to shove the agreement in my face and tell me to read the fine print with no regard to what the salesperson said in the sales meeting or what the agreement said in terms of the install date. read more

We had windows installed in our bedroom and 2 doors that go out to the deck. One of the doors has had to be adjusted 3 times as it keeps sticking and getting out of balance. The last time a guy came out to fix it he told us the door sill on the bottom was not level and that was the problem. He told us he would have someone call us and set up an appointment to fix it. About 6 weeks later they called and set up an appointment for January. The day they were to come the guy called and said he was having trouble with his vehicle and would have someone call to reschedule . It is now the middle of m March and we have still not received a call. I called them Thursday the 14th and left a message and still have not heard a peep. Do not buy windows from these people. They will not service what they install !!! The windows are great and we love them but for $22,000 you would expect better service. read more

I had a window break from the cold one evening and RBA said they would not replace the glass because they said something impacted the glass to break it. They determined this from a photo. They would not even come look at it. Btw the glass that broke was not on the outside. It was on the inside and there is a screen on the inside away from the glass. nothing hit the glass from the inside. BEWARE OF THEIR WARRANTY. read more

Five months after the project commenced, we are still waiting for them to replace a temporary installation and eye sore they have left behind. They claim that each time(three so far) wrong items were ordered therefore they could not come to finish the project. The customer service guy says he is not responsible because somebody else made the mistake in his company. So we wait, with an eye sore of a taped up door. Perhaps one of our mistakes was to make an advance payment to get a discount! We made a mistake using this company because no one seems to accept responsibility for a botched and incomplete job and cannot assure us that they will expedite the completion. read more

I originally ordered Renewal by Anderson windows and a sliding glass doorway last year in 2021. They finally showed up in November 2021 and did a horrible installation and left our door without a screen. Finally, after many complaints, they came out with the sceen but the new installer stated that the installation was horrible and needed to be completely redone! There wasn't even a track to hold the screen door! Finally, after many phone calls and many put-offs, and an in-person complaint, it took my complaint on Yelp to get scheduled for a complete re-install in July 2022. The installer had to remove all of the wood, the door, the door frames, etc. I am still not completely happy with the outside wood frames. However, my biggest complaint is that I should not have to start paying for this horrendous experience in October 2022!!! My 12-month payment option needs to start over in July 2022 so that I do not pay until July 2023. It is very disingenuous and poor customer service to require me to pay within 3-4 months when I was promised I would not have to pay until 12 months after the installation! We replaced our huge old street-facing window (actually multiple windows stuck together into one massive one) with a new one by Renewal by Andersen. The windows themselves are fantastic--they seem solid, well-built, insulating, and very quiet--as were the installers and the installation process as a whole. Unfortunately, the sales rep we dealt with was less than helpful. He initially said he'd give us an estimate for our entire house, but then only gave us a quote on one large window (despite staying at our house for well over an hour past when he said he'd be here). We were rushed through the contract (which we later found had a number of small errors in it), and pushed into a borderline predatory loan that we didn't need and the terms of which were different than what had been explained to us by the rep. When I later contacted Renewal by Andersen repeatedly to see if there was an alternative to using the loan, no one ever returned my calls. Contract completed, Renewal by Andersen then submitted our planned project to the HOA using the wrong paperwork, only to find out that our HOA requires grilles in street-facing windows, something that the sales rep hadn't bothered to give us a quote for but for which we had to pay hundreds of dollars more since we'd already signed a contract with Renewal by Andersen. Our sales rep then misconstrued the HOA's rules in multiple emails to us in what seemed like an effort to push through the installation process as quickly as possible, and when I inquired about the different grille designs (and associated pricing) that had been approved by our HOA, the rep seemed reluctant to answer my questions. I ultimately had to ask for the same information three separate times before getting the very basic information I needed to make the decision on how to move forward. Having said all that, when time for installation finally came, the installers were some of the most friendly, professional, and efficient people I've met, and they did a wonderful job installing the window while making sure everything was clean. Overall, while the window itself is fantastic and a huge improvement over our old window, I'm not sure if I'd consider Renewal by Andersen for future projects given all the issues we encountered. read more

I was familiar with the Renewal by Anderson brand after having gone through the window purchase process in previous homes. It's just a matter of getting a quote for the work I want done, and scheduling it. Should be an easy sale for them, right? Upon contacting this local dealer, I was met with a chauvinist attitude - and the staff was female! Despite telling them twice that I am the decision maker and my husband is not a part of the process, she insisted that she can't make an appointment to send out a salesman for a quote without my husband being present. I will take my business elsewhere - they are not the only dealers of the Renewal by Anderson brand windows. We purchased Anderson windows about 1 year ago. We have had problem after problem and still aren't happy. Although they have came to see the problems , some they fixed (including replacing 3 windows) other problems haven't change . We had problems with install, windows not fitting, windows that don't slide or close correctly, screens with improper fit and windows with scratches , all this for $20,000 ! The windows are wonderful. The wonderful stainless steel screens don't hold up, are only protected with a factor warranty for three months; so it will cost you $$$$ to replace. You should buy a less expensive window with old fashion wire screens that will last forever. read more

Super high pressure to set up a time to get an estimate. The sales lady at the home show assumed my friend was my husband and asked that he be present for the estimate. Then during the verification phone call for the time set up consisted of the person on the other end saying you two a couple of times (in refrence to my non existent other half) and asking about some other random people that appeared to have some say in the house. I asked where they got these other names from and was told the whitepages on the internet. That is not a viable way to vete who owns a house and is rather creepy and sketchy. We bought about $70,000 worth of replacement windows and doors. Although our first salesman (who has since quit) was wonderful and the installation team was very nice, the administrative end of this was a nightmare. The sliding patio door that we bought was defective, and was supposed to be replaced at an agreed upon date. We made airline reservations to fly to our home in Colorado, and a week before the scheduled installation date they contacted us and said that they couldn't do it. So we had to cancel our flight, lose the airline value, and reschedule. We have had virtually no communication with Anderson since they came out and reinstalled the door. We only learned about it because our neighbor let them in, but we still have heard nothing from them. And this is even after multiple emails asking them to confirm that the job was done. For this kind of money you'd expect that you would have at least minimal communication. We will never work with them again. read more

What do I need to do to stop this scam company from accosting us at the door every few months? I've already told them on numerous occasions (via phone and at the door) that WE ARE NOT INTERESTED. I tried to set up an appointment for an estimate based on 9 windows. Sales man said he need 90 minutes of my time. I said I could give him 60 minutes but that anything over 60 I would consider a waste of time for 9 windows. The sales man canceled the appointment. 1.) First call to schedule, they INSISTED that my husband be present for appointment. I own the home and am a GROWN WOMAN!!!!! Absolutely sexist/rude/demeaning/ridiculous! 2.) They make you pay quite a bit upfront - understood. Then, when they install, no reminder that you have to pay balance in full by check only (actually two - one at beginning of install and one at end). 3.) They basically TELL you when they will install, not ask you. 4.) Told by salesman that my window coverings would fit in new windows, as they were measured to previous windows. They did not fit. I cannot afford new window coverings and salesman not very responsive or caring that my children have bright light shining in their bedrooms and have no privacy!!!!!! Update: They did the right thing and bought new window converings for the replacement windows. Took several phone calls but they did it. I don't know why my review of Andersen was removed, but I'll state again that this is a GREAT company! We replaced our windows three years ago and they do everything we expected. From the sales team to the installation everything went as they said it would. I would have preferred they had cleaned up a bit better, but I'm pretty clean conscious so that didn't surprise me. Recently purchased a home in Colorado Springs that needs new windows. Called Andersen to set up an appointment for a consultation. The first person I spoke with asked when a good time when both homeowners would be home, I explained that my husband is rarely available and the meeting would be with me only. The person put me on hold under the pretense of calendar computer issues when in fact I was being sent to a manager who informed me that I had to have my husband present. Absolutely ridiculous! They lost a sale for sure. I urge everyone who cares about gender equality to find a more respective company that is not so misogynistic. Additionally, I was able to schedule 4 other window consultations sans husband without any issue. read more

After two weeks of phone calls, various confirmations by phone and by email, they called less than 24 hours before my quote appointment and said there had been a "scheduling conflict" and they couldn't keep the appointment. Maybe this isn't a big deal for other folks, but my husband and I are business owners and he is required to travel frequently. Because they "require your spouse to be present at the time of the quote," he had to send extra employees out of town in his stead and delay important business operations so that we could meet this appointment. To have them give us notice the day before our appointment, on top of having to pull so many strings to make sure he could be home in the first place, was just really irritating. Furthermore, they were extremely pushy about trying to get me to reschedule right away. I explained to them that we own a business and my husband frequently works out of town on an unpredictable schedule, and the woman just said, "Well okay, but when can we schedule you in?" as if she hadn't listened to me at all. Within ten minutes of getting off the phone with this woman, another called me (a manager I assume) who was even pushier than the original rep had been. All that being said, most people say they love the windows. So...at least there's that. We, however, will probably be going with a local company whom we can actually count on to work with us and meet their own schedule. read more

We had no problem with our salesman, no problem with the installation, and love our windows and door. Where this falls apart for us is in the warranty service. The turn latch on our backdoor broke 2 years after our install. This meant, I COULD NOT LOCK MY DOOR! Stuff breaks, no biggie! I called Andersen and got routed to the service department wherein I got a voicemail system that indicated they only check the voicemail once per day. So I left a message indicating the failure and the fact that this was a significant security issue as I could not lock my door. Over 48hrs later I received a call back. They needed the part number from my door so they could order the correct replacement part. Now, you would think all of the information about our install including part numbers would be in their database. I guess not. I sent them a photo of the part tag and heard nothing back. I emailed them back in another day to ask if they had received my email with the part tag and they replied that they had. Would have been great customer service to have just responded to me when I originally sent the email! They indicated they would get the part within the next week and would call to schedule the repair. When I finally got the call the other day, they indicted the part would not arrive for almost another 3 weeks and then offered a repair time for the day after it is scheduled to arrive. So, it is going to take 1 month in order to repair the locking mechanism with no other means to lock my door!? I ended up taking the lock apart and making a temporary repair so it can be locked until they come for the repair. This to me is totally unacceptable and as such I would not recommend purchasing a door from them. If something goes wrong, you're not running to the local Home Depot to fix it! Their warranty service will take an unreasonable amount of time to effect a repair. What's worse is the woman I've been talking to in their service department pretty much could care less. I never received an apology that their product failed and not an ounce of empathy or suggestion on how to manage the security issue that this caused for our home. So, warranty service gets no stars from me which will average them out to 2 stars overall. Again, we love our windows and our door (when it can be locked!) read more

Our experience with Renewal by Anderson was fabulous! From initial visit to final cleanup, the team was flawless. We replaced all of our old, single-pane, windows from 1915 (some of which would no longer open), along with our leaky front door. This decreased our energy costs significantly and allowed us to open the windows to the outside when the weather is beautiful. The installation team did a great job preserving the original trim, and matching trim they couldn't save. They thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. Hire them, you will not be sorry!!! read more

There are very strong pros and cons with working with Renewal By Andersen. The pros are that the windows are very high quality and the installers are outstanding. The cons are that you get what you pay for-- they are not cheap. And you have to deal with their sales approach. Renewal by Andersen is one of those companies that has to come out to your house with all household adults present, and you have to make a decision before they leave. I HATE that type of sales pitch. BUT our salesperson was very nice and very helpful, AND we couldn't be happier with the outcome. Our house is literally 131 years old-- it is an 1800s brick brownstone in Denver. We were very nervous about replacing the old windows because of the nature of the old brick and framing. We also assumed that the construction would be very messy. I was shocked to see how clean the process was. The guys literally rolled out red carpets to cover the floors and they use plastic sheets everywhere. When they left you never would have known that a construction project just took place. They did the whole house (removal and install) in just 2 days. They were extremely courteous and their quality of work was top notch. The quality of the windows is also amazing. We are so happy with our decision. SO my advice to you is to do your research before you make the appointment, so that you are ready to make the decision. Go with Renewal by Andersen if you are looking for high quality windows. Very disappointed. We had one window replaced. The appointment was on a Tuesday. The installers arrived late and were unable to finish the job. They said that they would finish on the following Friday and would call with the time. By 5:30pm on Thurday we had heard nothing. We called them to set up the appointment. Of course, we had to schedule more time off of work. They arrived late again on Friday. After they left, I spent 20 minutes picking up debri. I called the local Operations person and left a voicemail stating that I was disappomted. I never received a call back. I won't pay top dollar for poor service again. read more

Although they are not "cheap" you really get what you pay for and you can see and feel the quality of what you purchase. Nathan,our sales consultant was there for us every step of the way and was extremely responsive and respectful. He educated us about the different types, what would be appropriate and went through the costs completely before he helped us decide what would be appropriate for our circumstance and our home. He went the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied. We actually got all the products 2 weeks before they were promised. I have a mixed review of Renewal by Andersen and am not sure if I would recommend them. I replaced all my windows in 4 stages. The first three installments were a good experience from beginning to end and I'm happy with the product and service. I'm NOT satisfied with the fourth and last installment of 9 windows. The quality of the windows are good overall but the installation of 3 of the windows is VERY POOR. There is a 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap at the top of the windows that is filled in with caulking which is smeared on the walls and windows to cover gaps. It looks like the windows are too small for the space and were installed by a novice. I called Renewal and told them it looked terrible. I thought that they might have installed someone else's windows in my house. They sent the person who originally measured the windows and he insisted that the gap is within the industry standard. There are also small gaps in the joints of the trim on the windows themselves. I pointed out that the windows from the previous 3 installations did not have this issues. My concerns were dismissed and I felt like I was being talked down to. After much discourse, the only fix that was offered was to add extra trim to cover the caulking, which I did not want. The install was rushed to the point the crew chief left without taking the check. For the price I paid, I expect better. Before you buy, ask a lot of questions about window size and fit. read more

We are considering buying windows & endured the sales pitch last night - time I'll never get back - not so sure anymore if we'll go with Anderson based on the egregious abuse of our time on a school/work night (the "60 minutes" was 2 hours and he would have stayed longer if we let him), and the ridiculous, 1980's, Always-Be-Closing sales tactics (remember Alec Baldwin?). My wife wrote a review on 4/21. Things have changed so I would like to update people on Renewal by Andersen. Most of our windows have been installed. Since then we have had all but 3 windows installed. The installation crew was awesome! Very neat and clean with the quality of the windows excellent. The reason that three windows are yet to be installed is that a mistake was made by the individual who oversaw/ estimated the job. It is not our responsibility to know the total number of windows when some are counted as one and others as two or three. I am expecting Andersen to make it right and install our three remaining windows for the originally contracted price. If they do, they will have my endorsement as I'm sure this was an honest oversight on their part and we have been quite happy with their product so far. read more

This is our second stage of windows we have gotten done with Renewal by Anderson. Both times have been great .Very professional installation and my salesman Bud is great - he even came out on a special trip to talk to my insurance adjuster . This time the install was done by Max Garvin and Josh - they were amazing and really took the time to make sure the install was perfect . The reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the price . They are great windows for sure but they are so pricey . read more
