Attended Les Claypool Gold concert. It was easy to get in as the line moved fast. They have a concession station where they sell snack type foods. They also had a few bars set up to sell alcohol, soda and waters. Unfortunately they were putting the bottles of water and soda into plastic cups as they said that's how the artist wanted it. The sound system was okay and the seats sucked because there was no padding on the seat, one of the arm rests was broken or never snapped into place. The stadium style seating also didn't feel 100 percent secure because all the people rocking out and bouncing made it feel like the seats were rocking back and forth. read more

I've been to Reno Events Center for many years now. Mainly for different Chinese concerts. Security checks were usually quick. They do have bag policy so make sure to do some research before getting there. The securities inside the venue were a bit inefficient. There were times when people in front of my seat were standing up blocking my views along with blocking the views of other people behind them. The securities were no where in sight. Eventually, we had to flag them down to do their job. Once the shows ended, the securities were super quick in kicking people out. read more

Band was great venue was disappointing.They closed the concession stands right as the headlining band started. Literally the first song started and no more drinks, even if I had wanted a water or soda, unavailable. 9 pm everything was shut down. I would not recommend this venue to others. read more

Quality/Quantity - Came here for a Brandon Lake concert and it was GREAT. Probably the 2nd best concert I have been to! It was 3.5 hours long! He stayed an extra half hour and sang another 3 songs. To avoid the rush of everyone leaving at the same time, we hung out at the casinos, Silver Legacy, El Dorado and Circus Circus. The best part was that we bumped into our friends! What a small world. We will be going to their place on Tuesday (yestereday). Atmosphere - "Medium size" event center in Downtown Reno. Across the street from the above casinos. Free parking in the above casinos. 118,000 sq ft. Multi purpose arena, also available for conventions, conferences, boxing, basketball, etc. Service - Tickets can usually be purchased at the Silver Legacy box office and/or through Ticketmaster (fees will probably apply). The venue is easy in and out. But you might want to get here early for better parking. Everyone was friendly. From the security guards, to the ushers, concession stands, merch sales, etc. Price - Depends on the event and where you plan to sit. But our concert was very reasonable, some would consider inexpensive. I've been here twice in the last 6 months and knowing how much I like comedy and live music, I am sure I will continue to come here. At least I know what to expect. Plan to arrive early so that you can park and wait in line. I went to a nearby casino for some pregaming action( Starbucks so that I could stay awake). Make sure to read the guidelines and rules that are specific to the show that you are going to see. For Bill Burr it was a cellphone free event so that made the line to get in a lot slower. My biggest hang up for this location is the seating. The seats in the risers all face towards the middle of the arena so every person has to turn sideways to see the stage. After about 30 minutes my next and back start to hurt. I know this only pertains to the events that are focused on the stage, but that has been my experience so far. read more

He is amazing and never does the same show twice. There was some sort of commotion in front when he was performing and he got involved and made sure everything was ok. How great is that? There was a very long line for his show. Security was amazing getting everyone to line up and then getting them through. I was really surprised at how quickly they got people through the line. I've been here for a variety of events from concerts to comedy to charity events to now who would have guessed it Professional Bull Riders. This place can truly handle any event to come its way. Important things to note.. - concert sound may not be ideal here. the acoustics in the building are just not set up for that. It will still likely be a great show, but sound might be lacking. - park at the row and just walk over. I park at Circus Circus and walk through the casino and exit silver legacy. that works out perfectly. - plenty of bathrooms - plenty of places to get a drink and or a bite to eat - line up to get in may be long, but it goes quickly. --pro tip, once you get to the front ish, move along the right side of the rail to get through security quick, for some reason no one sees that line in the corner. VENUE: Great venue for a night of comedy with Jerry Seinfeld. Good sound system for comedy with large screens to help bring the show in closer. The venue features drinks and snacks. I thought the unmanned, self-checkout snacks and drinks was a cool feature and it kept the lines at the snack bar manageable. Staff does a good job with security and checkin to keep the lines outside moving. SHOW: If you are fan of the show Seinfeld, then this show was for you. It's an hour long episode about everyday situations that's easy for everyone to relate to. I did like that Jerry was able to entertain us without swearing. Shows true genius to make people laugh without crude jokes and swearing. Not a lot of production value to the show. I couldn't even find a sign in the lobby or a marque outside the venue to make sure I was at the right show. read more

Unfamiliar to the seating chart, I tried to pick one close and not $$$$ .. but I think I picked decent seats.. You only live once.. enjoy life and venture out of my comfort zone... Saw Jerry Seinfeld November 12th, 2022. Great show, typical 5 Star Jerry Seinfeld. My low rating is for the Reno Events Center. Most seats are not facing the stage...and the stage is seriously 100 yards away on the other side. From our suite seating I believe the stage is over 100 yards away. Two small TV projectors on each side of the stage are cheap and under sized. Unfortunately I can't recommend dropping a lot of money for shows at this Events center. This joint is not set up for the modern personal experience that you can find at locations like Las Vegas or some of the nearby California venues. You would think in modern times the Reno Events center would move the stage into the middle of this center for a more centered and personal experience for the guests but they don't. Lots of wasted space for the shows at this venue and truth be told the person in charge of this venue must have failed at playing legos as a child. With the multiple Casino ownership of this venue it's all about the cash flow one way and it's not into this Events Center. Beware if you plan on dropping hundreds of dollars for a ticket...not worth it at this outdated venue in my opinion. read more

My wife and I were here on November 11th to see Fluffy, a comedian we've always wanted to see live. Fluffy himself was amazing, if I could give ten stars, I would. He put on an amazing show and was worth every penny. The events center itself is what this review is pertaining to, though. For starters, the line to get in was a joke. I've never seen anything like it. It stretched about three blocks away from the building and got so bad that at one point, they split the line and had people queuing up in the street. No cones, nobody diverting traffic, nothing. Huge safety concern. Once they FINALLY opened the doors (less than 45 minutes prior to show time), getting through security was a breeze. That was the one positive aspect. Security was actually friendly and got us through the metal detectors quickly. Once inside, it fell apart again. The hallways are hilariously narrow for the crowds that come here. It feels like navigating Disneyland's Main Street right after a firework show. To make matters worse, they've installed numerous alcohol carts in the already narrow hallway with no designated queues, so people just queue up all over the place in an unorganized fashion and jam it all up. Then comes the worst part of it...the seats. I purchased floor seats, not too far from the stage. In every other arena/venue I've been to, that at minimum gets you a comfortable chair. The seats were jammed literally right up next to each other and the rows were so narrow that if someone had to get through, they were practically in your lap. I (or anyone else for that matter) had no leg or arm room whatsoever. It was a joke. No arm rests, no cup holders, nothing. As stated above, Fluffy was amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to see him again. Hopefully, the next time he comes to Reno he'll perform at GSR where the seats are actually comfortable and you get basics like arm rests and cup holders. read more

The Events Center is a multipurpose arena. They have a lot of seating and a huge general admission area to host popular artists. The acoustics are OK. It's basically a big steel and concrete box. In order to get the best sound, get floor tickets and get close to the stage. The concessions usually include beer, some mixed drinks, and arena food like nachos and soft pretzels. It's a big venue so expect lines for beverages and bathrooms. read more

My friends and I came to see Bill Bur here recently and he was awesome but the experience not so much.. the lines to get in wrapped around the building. Even though doors were supposedly open it took I think an hour and 30 mins to get in! Maybe even more? It was freezing outside that night. I think bc once you finally got to the security check point they had staff asking for your mobile tickets so they could write your seats down on a sticky pad piece of paper and then asked us all to lock up your phones in a bag... I get the not wanting ppl to "borrow" material, or have your jokes leaked but the process was a huge headache!?! They could have had way more ppl assigned to it. No reason for us to be freezing outside for the better part of two hours? They could have started on that while we were all standing there during that time... it was a mess, it seemed under staffed for the size of the crowd. Not to mention if you lost that sticky pad piece of paper you were hosed on finding your seats!? You'd have to take your locked bag to security to open it to find your tickets!? THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE THE TICKETS PRINTABLE!!!! But bc of an ever ending moving bar code that wasn't even a choice.. then we all had to wait in lines after the show to get our bags unlocked. There were only like 3 ppl doing it?? We paid for decent floor seats. They're just folding chairs! A joke really, no cup holders. If anyone needed to get passed the entire row had to stand. They could have put a little more money into the place? It looks like an under developed where house with folding chairs. The sound quality ain't even that great... some of these professionals play at Madison square gardens. Kinda embarrassing Reno, step it up! There are big name players coming here and even they say "this place is kind of sh*t box huh?" It's a sad representation of what it could be. I love my town. The concept of the Reno Ballroom must have looked great on paper, but in actuality it's a fiasco and a disaster. First off, there's no convenient parking within close proximity and second off, there are no convenient loading zones for dropping people off or picking them up. The venue itself is fabulous inside, and the food has been excellent the several times I have been here. The servers are helpful and efficient. The room is spacious and you don't feel crowded. It's just getting in and out of the venue that will drive you crazy. Plus, if anyone is attempting to pick you up after an event, the signals aren't geared for pedestrians and/or cars. With a lack of left turn arrows and multiple one-way streets, you've got the makings of a total disaster in downtown. No wonder locals avoids downtown . read more

We've seen Paw Patrol & Sesame Street Live at the Reno Events Center. Since these shows are for toddlers and young kids, there needs to be safe chairs for that age group. Tonight I saw at least five different kids fall through the backs of these chairs. The back of the seat folds in because they are so small & light. These are the better & more expensive seats, yet kids are getting hurt because the chairs are not appropriate for the age and size of child who likes these shows. read more

My son had his 2023 Sierra Nevada Classic wrestling tournament this past December at the Reno Events Center. We're not a fan of the venue. They need more staff to clean during the events, such as cleaning the seating area and removing all trash and waste from trash cans and floor. Restrooms were screaming for help! Wet slippery floors and toilet paper missing from stalls. We have attended numerous events, concerts and tournaments at the Event Center and have gone up and down with how we feel about the venue. read more

I've been to concerts and events at this location several times and let me tell you - THESE are the WORST SEATS in the WORLD. Not just are they narrow, and everyone is basically sitting in the middle seat of an airliner. But, the worst part is the seats are so uncomfortable. Basically sitting on a sheet of metal with a 1/4 inch cushion. There was ZERO legroom. Don't even think about stretching your leg out. Nope - not going to do it. Each one of us had knee and back pain after a 2 hour event. Rushed home for a soak in the hot tub and a few advil. If we ever go back - I'll be bring a big seat cushion to sit on and insist on an aisle seat. No thanks! read more

We saw Bill Burr there & he was amazing. 3 Stars for the following: 1. Lines outside were a diaster, no organization, no line dividers, people waited a long time in the cold then they decided to have another line start & grabbed those that hadnt been waiting to go inside first. 2. Cell phone had to be locked in a pouch, okay I understand. No photos, No Videos, No texting, Live in the moment. But one week after an active shooter killed 18, we cant have our phones. If something happened none of us wouldve had access to call for help, anything. Okay so they had Security. What a JOKE! 3. Security. Maybe a handful of them, Im sorry Id be worried if my life was up to them . 4. After the show it took us 35 minutes in line to get out cell phones unlocked they only had 3 people unlocking them 5. The bathrooms Were nasty. They didnt have routine cleaning Im guessing 4. Sound quality. Not the best 5. Food & Beverage customer service. They should smile and be friendly. One lady was so rude & gave me water in a plastic cup. I asked for the bottle and her response " You dont get a bottle, you get this" I asked for a lid, her response was " Do you really need it, uggh. Here" and tossed it at me. We have no choice where events are held, we loved seeing Bill Burr but this place is your typical herd them in herd them out, with mediocre service . read more

We went to the Bill Burr show last night, which was something we were really excited for. We were emailed instructions to arrive early, arrive early, arrive early.....doors open at 7 for show at 8. We arrive at 7:15 and lines were wrapped around building twice on both sides. It was 30 degrees outside, no heaters and very few employees trying to speed up the process. We were in line freezing for 45 mins. We enter and the concessions are lame & say they'll only be open until 9 ‍ Meanwhile, show didn't even start until 8:30 with an opener for first 15 mins. Needless to say, it a long drawn out evening. Bill even mentioned the chaos outside and how F'd up the venue handled the evening. read more

The entrance procedure for the Bill Burr show last night was pure chaos. There were two lines, but no communication about them (everybody who showed up was expressing their confusion)... then you had to go through security, but all of the metal detectors were broken, so even though you were carrying nothing on your person, they had to individually search all 3000 attendees. This made it hard for some people to get in on time (and it made the show start later than it should have, while we had to sit around for like an hour and a half, unable to use our phones.) The seats and seating arrangement, too, could really be improved (I don't even know how some people saw the show at all.) And it was cold inside. Concessions also pretty shabby (especially drink choices - no beer options other than a cheap lager, a cheap lager, or Blue Moon) Some of these things were bad enough that Bill Burr even made comments/jokes about them. The venue put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable show. I definitely will not be coming back to Reno to see another show. read more

Jeff Dunham has been rescheduled three times due to COVID and it was great to get out again fir a great night of entertainment. The event was sold out, there was a long line getting in due to having to walk through the metal detectors. The great news is that the line which was around the block, went fast so everyone could get inside to get concessions and find our seats. The food and drink offering was moderately priced. Staff was friendly and there was several staff members available to assist. I appreciated the efficiency and friendliness this venue provided. Very excited that events have returned so we can get back to normal. read more

Nice venue! We came here for a concert this past weekend and we had a great time! Security check was quick and efficient, we were inside the place in no time. From where we were seated in Section 118 we had a nice view and had no problems seeing the bands on stage. Actually, the venue is small with a capacity of only 7,000 so it doesn't look like there's a bad seat in the house. The VIP box seats were only in the back section. The acoustics from our seats were great! The volume level was just right. The spacing in each row were a bit tight, though. We have to stand each time someone would leave to go somewhere. I cannot comment about the parking since we took the shuttle from our timeshare and was dropped off right in front of the Center. The Reno Events Center is the home of The Reno Bighorns, who are the G League team for the Sacramento Kings. After 10 seasons, the Bighorns will be leaving Reno for Stockton. I'm not sure if this has actually been finalized already. Looking forward to coming back for another concert here in the near future... good first time experience here. Review #1149 read more

So, my Wife and I went to see a Comedian there this past weekend. The venue is fairly big, and the floors and Bathrooms are clean. The Sound System is decent, also. I don't know about the seats on the floor, but the seats surrounding the floor all need to be deep-cleaned. Every seat has ground-in dirt on them. That was pretty irritating since everyone that came to this show paid a good amount of money to see it. The Venue could spend money on cleaning the seats, at least. That, and it was sort of comfortable when we first got to the venue, but by the end of the show, I was sweating. Seems that they either cut-off the air, or the ventilation system needs an overhaul. The place would be great if they would fix those issues. As it is, I give it a three. read more

My second visit to the Reno Events Center in the past six months. Totally different events, first the Hall & Oates concert and last night, the PBR bull riding. Passing through security to enter was fast and thorough, staff all very pleasant throughout. Loved the set up for the bull riding, great views all around. Importantly, felt safe even though relatively close to all the action. Noticed lots of beer flowing and lots was spilled as people were making their way to their seats. I was impressed by the staff and the coordination as the staff constantly were going along the aisles and cleaning the spills immediately. Sound was loud but appropriately so, announcing was clear and enjoyable. My experience at this event was very positive and I would not hesitate to attend any event at this event center. read more

The Events Center and Ballroom are clean and comfortable venues that are well run. I am not sure why there is no marquee or signage that promotes or advertises events. If there is It must not stand out as I cannot remember seeing it. Sometimes it is just interesting to see what is happening when there is suddenly several hundred spilling into the streets before or after and event. There is almost never directions where to park for events which could prove dangerous to tourists as the areas surrounding the venue include a homeless shelter, the bus station, liquor stores, drunks, a biker bar, the former bus station, higher street crime areas, and as much meth usage and sales as anywhere I have seen. I am not saying anyone of these elements is necessarily a problem but I would not want my Mom and her girlfriends wondering around looking for their car after a show. read more

Two years ago Florida Georgia Line came to town right around my birthday. Radio, TV and all over social media, all I saw was the concert. I figured it was impossible to not know about it, and I also figured my wife would be taking us to see the show for my birthday surprise. Sadly, I was wrong, and the show came and went, leaving me waiting for another opportunity to catch these guys live. Finally, that day came, and I took matters into my own hands this time! I scored a pre-sale code and bought two great seats, only to find out my wife would be out of town the night of the show. Lucky for me I had a great friend decide to join me for the show, and what a show it was! In addition to the sweet sounds of Cadillac 3 and Cole Swindell, who played all the hits, Florida Georgia Line brought the energy, the stage game, and every one of the songs you wanted to hear. But the best part had to be the two incredible surprises! In the second half of the show they walked down a catwalk to a second stage at the rear of the auditorium and played a set with Cole Swindell and Cadillac 3, including some homages to their country mentors, like "Back At Mama's" by Tim McGraw! This was trumped only by the encore, when they talked about the songs they identified with as kids and then performed them! Songs like Montell Jordan's "This is how we do it", Backstreet Boys "Everybody", Alan Jackson's "Should Been A Cowboy" and Papa Roach "Last Resort", and then they closed it all up with "Cruise". 3 Stars because of the insanely long wait for a bar. I think that's a shame. It's an event center. They should know how to do this by now. Otherwise the place is great. Solid sound, comfortable seats and clean. read more
