After coming here for years, I've gotten used to separating everything before arrival to make the drop off as quick and smooth as possible. The staff here is quick to take your recyclables and serve you. I've tried the other location next to HMart and I felt that i didn't get as much payout as I do here. These guys run a tight ship, but I just get a bit annoyed when you have to wait for other customers who get there and have to sort, making the wait longer. For yelpers, reaching any review count that has some numerical significance based on what society has taught us is a pretty big deal. So for my 250th review it has to go out to the team from renovate recycling center in Diamond Bar. For many reasons the city of Diamond Bar probably won't openly acknowledge, the city has systematically closed recycling centers near local supermarkets. The motives behind that can be left to question, but the fact is renovate is the only recycling center left in the area to redeem CRV. On top of that, they are open seven days a week. For many people in our community who depend on CRV for a source of income, this is a plus. Prices are competitive and services, from my experience, are quick. I am not discounting the reviews of others and can only speak to my experiences there. They run a tight ship, with buckets ready to go to weigh upon arrival. Now this also depends on who is running the shop, but from my experience I have always been met with a kind and courteous representative (shout out Sam from back in the day). I went here to recycle a car full of bags filled with cans and plastic bottles for my father. The gentleman at the center was so helpful. He promptly started helping me unload the car and dumping the bottles and cans into the bins without me asking him to. I wish I had gotten his name because he was so friendly and helpful. Been coming here for so many years. They are the only place I feel would take what I bring. Some places are so picky but here I have these cool metal mouth wash bottles that says it's recyclable and this is the ONLY place that takes them so for that I give them 5 stars. I come early on a weekday cause it's not busy. Service is not terrible and I say if you be nice they'll be nice back. They are closed Christmas EVE and New Years EVE. This place is BEHIND the super market / next to the bank. It was tricky to find and I had to walk around and ask but I eventually found it The worker here is really nice ! He helped my friend and I unload our cans and bottles and even separate them too The only down side is that it smells BAD. Of course it's basically recycling trash and dirty bottles and what not but it's almost unbearable. Still would rather go here than RePlanet in chino because the employees here are wayyyy nicer Another cool thing is they let you weigh and give you the money in cash ! I been to a few recycling places but this one has to be the bast one. The man that works here is so unapproachable like he doesn't want you to ask him anything. I had asked him if he accepted empty coffee cans, laundry plastic containers, he tells me yes, but very curt. I bring my water bottles and the other containers. He tells me he doesn't accept that. Tells me to just put them to the side that he will get rid of them. Which after I thought about it, I believe he was not truthful. Horrible locations as those with machines for after hours recycling don't work. I called 4 on Friday last as we had a ton of cans and bottles, which filled the bed of my truck. They do not adhere to their posted hours on yelp or google search. I hit 2 location 40-45 minutes before closing only to find no one there, a 3rd location was open but informed us the money man was gone so we would have to wait until Saturday. This was the most frustrating element because had I left all in the bed of my truck overnight, all would be MIA on the morning.
