They value repair above replacement, even for older units. They repaired my no-name (Hotpoint) dishwasher from 1995, repairing an entire mechanism part and various seals. They came and repaired my garbage disposal, and because the repair was so simple (stuck piece of old plastic), they did not want to charge me the full price. This was such an honest gesture. Their service is so reasonably priced as it is. I know that if I have any more appliance issues or general handyman work that I need done, Medvedkov is on the top of my list of folks to call. They just rolled it into my garage. My warehouse is directly across the street from my house, on the same route back to their shop. I offered to grab a piece of paper, write and sign a waiver releasing them of any liability, and even offered one hundred dollars for the quick drop off. The crew told me it was an insurance issue, but when I spoke to the owner, he said it was not insurance. It was simply policy. He was matter of fact and showed no interest in helping or even listening. They were perfectly willing to take my old refrigerator six miles away to their warehouse and deal with it there, but when it came to dropping it off at my warehouse, right across the street from my house and directly on their route, suddenly it was a problem. I tried to reason with the owner, explaining how simple it would be, but he just was not hearing me. I was the last delivery of the day, and it would have taken no more than two minutes. We spent more time standing there talking about it than it would have taken to make it happen. So instead, they left it sitting in my garage, where it has stayed ever since. Every time I open that middle garage door and see it sitting there, I am reminded that it could have been in my warehouse where it belongs. It takes up space and serves as a daily reminder of how this business handled a simple, reasonable request. That decision cost them the sale of the oven and microwave I bought elsewhere, and probably more through word of mouth. They lost a loyal customer, and for what? Two minutes of time. It is his business, and he can run it how he wants. I respect that. But common sense went right out the window. This was never about insurance. It was about policy and a lack of flexibility. The owner's public response did nothing to change that impression. I am keeping this at one star because his reply only confirmed my experience. Instead of owning the situation or acknowledging what really happened, he repeated an inaccurate story that does not reflect the facts. That response alone speaks volumes about how this business handles customer feedback. Sometimes the coldest thing in the room is not the refrigerator.

i went in to metropolitan appliance on memorial day weekend and had done my online research and was…read morepretty certain what i wanted in terms of a replacement slide in stove. jacob a approached me and ended up helping me. we spent over an hour talking about options and discussing standard coil vs induction/glass top. i wasn't going to go that route but jacob is very thorough and not pushy at all; multiple times he stated that his goal was for me to purchase something i felt comfortable with and would be happy to own. i appreciated that. ultimately i decided to go with a frigidaire model that was a drastic improvement on the stove/oven i've lived with for two decades. he took care of the payment paperwork, the scheduling of delivery which had to wait until now and also all the communication between us. he was also kind enough to send a follow up email alerting me to being eligible for a rebate based on the model i had chosen. today, the delivery folks showed up within the stated window and i'll just say that the tracking system clients are sent to know when to expect the delivery is magic! it helped a lot to be prepared and to have cleared the adjacent space but it left no guessing for when they would arrive. jorge and his teammate (sorry, i didn't catch his name) were professional and efficient. they knew how to handle the extrication of the old appliance, how to set up the new one and insure it was level, and they walked me through basic operating instructions. all told (and i haven't yet used the appliance) i have been very happy with the level of service and courteous communication from this business. it makes me want to provide their name to others who are in the appliance market and to use them again when i next need a replacement.

Which is absolutely understandable. To get an accurate "quote" she pinned the dress in areas where it needed to be taken in. An hour later..... for a hem, taking in the waist, shortening the strap and shortening the belt I was quoted $480.00. That price was a lot more than I anticipated to pay, since it was more than the cost of the dress. Don't get me wrong I want to look good in my bridesmaids dress...but I also don't plan to ever wear this dress again. After declining moving forward. She had the audacity to say I owe her $50.00 for her time. . . Now I just feel bamboozled... and taken advantage of since that was never discussed beforehand especially since I asked for a "quote". Due to the withholding of information charging me $50.00 for absolutely nothing, she has lost any future business I would have brought her. Honestly, I don't want to have someone come out and give an estimate and then return in a future date. I just want the junk gone. Josh gave a really fair estimate and spent the next few hours clearing junk, yard debris and old grills etc from a pile in a yard. I was so impressed how he left the yard and made sure he had everything we needed removed. I cannot recommend this company again. Josh said they do clean out apartments and hoarding situations where they can find alternatives to simply dumping it at a landfill. Again 5 stars from me!
