I always support veteran owned businesses when I can. Especially when they're this kind, quick, and knowledgeable. His operation is mobile, so I think I found my bike guy for the future. Yelp has store opening at 9, doesn't actually open until 10. When they finally showed up I talked to an individual about getting my bike inspected and or repaired after being shipped to me, after talking to the individual I got the impression they didn't want my business, he wasn't very professional. Despite the nice shop and pretty photos, I found this shop to be disreputable and untrustworthy. I dropped off my bike for repair and spoke with the owner, who explained that it was a busy time for them, but he'd work it in and stay in contact. After a couple of weeks, I started calling the shop to check up on the status of my bike. However, you can't call the shop directly; you have to go through their answering service. I called for 6 days straight, leaving messages and multiple emails. I was never contacted. Eventually, I had to take time off and pull my bike out of the shop. We had the pleasure of meeting Chaz and his amazing son and I'm so grateful for this experience! I wanted to get my bike fixed which he did very well but I also wanted to hopefully get a bigger bike for my son! He suggested that we look at his sons bike! My son fell in love with the bike and we bought it from him, then he ask if I wanted to look at his personal bike which I was very interested in. When I seen the bike it was more then I could have imagined he actually decide to sell me the bike! I was just beside myself especially when he shared the story of both bike to me! They take way too long in the drive thru. I've given them about a year to figure it out before I wrote another review but it hasn't gotten any better. I'm talking 15 min for a coffee, and that's IF there's only one car in front of you. I won't even stop if there's more than one. I'm here now and the girl is by herself and clearly overwhelmed. Schedule more baristas, for your employees sakes and your customers. I haven't even had my order taken and I've been sitting at the window for 9 minutes. I've visited the place a few weeks ago and seemed that little has changed since I visited the last. Well I mean that when I did visit them they didn't offer any munchies and now they do offer some grub but they don't make anything other than coffee drinks and smoothies. My drink of choice was a decaf dirty chai sweet and spicy with a apple fritter. They have a few areas to sit like at a bar with bar chairs, arm chairs and a few tables. Free secure wifi and a few .5mAh to 2.1mAh chargers on the bar. It has a bout 1/2 of the place it used to have when it was Schoolhouse coffee because of Baby-Boomer Bikes. The area where the bike shop is its a little messy with bikes taking up what space is available. I have yet to visit the cafe where the bike mechanic was in the shop. The second interaction - they lost their license somehow and we could not order any coffee at all. The third time - they were closed. This was our first visit to our new neighborhood coffee shop but definitely not our last. From the friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service by the baristas and the owner, Chazz to the delicious drinks we had, we are excited about the potential of this new place. I had an Orange Dream Smoothie that tasted just like a yummy creamsicle and my husband had a 'private pour' drip coffee. Both were winners that we would order again. This place is also a bicycle repair shop, specializing in electric bikes, so we plan to ride our bikes here at some point since we live just down the street. Called to talk about a bike for my grandson and I'm talking with the barista as there is no one there for bikes, poor start. Secondly it sounds like they mainly have electric bikes for adults or bikes for toddlers, nothing in between. Went out for a quick walk around the neighborhood, ended up getting caught in the rain . We stumbled across this neat coffee shop and even though they weren't fully open, the owners let us in to wait out the rain. While waiting the owner Chazz and his family ensured we were comfortable while waiting and even offered us his signature drink "The Evergreen" at no cost !! My friend and I were in the other day with our kiddos. They were getting a little restless so we let them go outside to play for a minute to burn off some energy. We asked the baristas if they would not clear our plates as we were planning to come back in after just a few minutes. There were currently no other customers in the restaurant minus one other man. They said yes but then as I was walking out I turned back to get my purse and the one barista was rolling her eyes and said loudly, why did they even come here then? Pretty disappointed in this coffee shop. I've been there multiple times since they have opened and the service is slow and inconsistent. Waited in the drive thru for ten minutes behind one car and eventually gave up, only to come inside and wait another ten minutes. Only one other customer was inside. Another time I sat at the drive thru window for five minutes and was never acknowledged. Coffee is nothing spectacular which is unfortunate because this neighborhood needs a quality coffee shop.
