Did not realize it was a new company in the same location. I walked in and mentioned it looked different inside and no one said anything. I asked about renting a rug cleane the woman at the desk stated we have one. I asked what time do you close she said 5pm but you would return it tomorrow I said ok its a small rug will only take a few hours. I have been renting rug cleaners from this location for YRS so I knew I could rent by 3-4hr ect. The woman ant the desk asked for my number and she already had it in there computer. I paid for the rental and then left. I returned 2hrs later. When I returned there was a man at the desk he processed the paperwork. I asked if som of my money would be returned since it was not a full day. He stated they do not do that. I asked why not since that was something that i was always able to do prior. He stated that is something abba used to offer... at that moment I realized the company was not the same and that's why it looked different inside. I have no idea how long ago it changed but something could have been said. I believe there was enough to see I did not realize they were not abba. I spent way more then I needed to on a machine I could have rented somewhere else for a couple hours. read more

We reserved A wood splitter a week in advance and asked about towing at the time And only was told a 2 inch ball. We bought a ball and installed it and we hired a guy to help us split wood. We get to the place to pick it up that morning and they informed us they require a Class 3 receiver hitch. Bumper hitch not allowed. Tongue weight of splitter is less than 100 pounds. Towing and rental policies were not explained in detail. Had planned on renting other equipment from them but not now. They cost us money for the ball and the hired help in which we could use neither now without a splitter. read more

Everything about our rental today was working against us. The initial rental went well, they helped load the tool and we happily drive home. Set everything up and realize the pump did not work. We call and they send someone out with pump. Great! Grab our pavers and realize that the blade is dull. At this point it is 100+ and the maintenance on this rental is just sad. What we should have done is just dropped it off; however, they send someone out with a new blade. Now 1:30p, half the day wasted. We have it on with the new blade, but it's just too late and too hot and the saw is just not gonna cut it. We load it up and take it back and they insist on charging us a little under half of the daily rental. Which is completely unfortunate because up to this point their customer service was good, their maintenance of the tools were crap, but we were walking off appreciating the customer service and based on that planning on coming back. Let me say that we both took the day off work so 16 hours of pay, we drove to Auburn to pick up the tool and then to drop it off and then they still charged us for a tool that was not taken care of and should not be rented until all of those items were checked. read more

Would not recommend, very rude staff, 3 different people (including the manager) quoted me different prices. I paid $1,100, the bases to the umbrellas were extremely rusted to the point that I ended up not even use them because they looked so gross. I'm very disappointed that they rent items to a customer in that condition. I was looking for market umbrellas for my husbands Celebration of Life. I called for a quote for 28 Market Umbrellas with bases on a Friday- I was told $26 per tent and $12.50 per base. I then saw on their website it was actually $6 per base. I called back Saturday and spoke to a different person who quoted me $26 per umbrella and $6 per base. He said since they're not able to pick up the items for return until Tuesday, they would waive the delivery fee. I reserved the umbrellas and was initially thankful that they were able to provide umbrellas same day. I had a friend pick them up. They did not have the items ready for pick up, instead they waited to pull the items until after my friend arrived so he had to wait. He then loaded all 28 umbrellas and bases into the car himself. The staff were rude to him. When I spoke to the manager over the phone to give card payment, she added a delivery fee- when I explained to her I was quoted with no delivery she was rude and sounded annoyed. Instead of apologizing for her employee misquoting me, she turned the blame on me saying how they're doing me a favor squeezing me in since they already have lots of rentals and don't typically take rental requests less than 72hrs in advance. Very poor service. Rent their commercial tile stripper, which says "turbo Stripper", paid $311 with tax, blade, some CA fee to recycle the blade, damage waiver. Once I came to work, which is an hour away from them, and started to work. First hour it was working fine and than wheels stopped spinning or pulling the machine to stripped tile. Once I bring it back to them and told them the issues, guy in front just said " our mechanic will look at it later today to see if there any issues". I very doubt they'll do, most likely will put it back to show room and rent to another guy who might need it. They had me on a waiting list to rent a dingo stand on skid steer for over a week and a half and told me it would be avaIlable this past Wednesday. I called them today (Friday) and was told they rented it out to someone else this morning when I've been on the waiting list for almost 2 weeks. The store in Citrus Heights will transfer you to the Sacramento store then they transfer you back to the Citrus Heights store because they don't know what the other store is doing at all. My very high review comes because Aba Daba really saved the day for me. I was one of the people who went thru America's Party Rental orginally because I knew of them and they were slightly cheaper. But the day I was contracted to pick up my order America's Party Rental did not open their doors that day. So here I am the day before my wedding with no chairs for my wedding. My friends called the next closest place that happened to be Aba Daba Rents. Aba Daba let us know immediately they would take care of us, had the product and that we could come get it right away. You were my saving grace on an already stressful day, my panick was very short lived because of your ability to fulfil our order and making it as simple as possible. Yes America's Party Rental was .15 cheaper a chair but that came at a price and that price was that they run a business where their contract means nothing. Went to Aba Daba to rent a snake. Got home, unloaded only to discover a bolt that connects the cutter to the snake was missing. Called Aba Daba to ask if another bolt would work, and ended up on hold for a long time. Finally, the clerk at Aba Daba said they were going to send someone out with a bolt. We decided to just return the equipment and called before we left, but no one answered the phone. The tech came out with the bolt but it was too late, we already returned the equipment. The clerk became angry with us saying we wasted their time. I wonder how they came up with that conclusion. When you hit a jam they are quick to offer workarounds or suggestions to help you get back on track. The quality of service varies. Most are helpful, but one (who looks like the manager or owner) is condescending with a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. The clocks starts when the order is fed into the computer, not when the equipment is loaded and ready to leave the premise. When I rented a sod cutter, it took the workers an hour to find a working one and load it into a trailer. If the job is more than 1/2 hour away, one essentially has to rent the equipment for 24 hours even if the job takes no more than 2-3 hours. This is because the hourly rate is 1/6 of the daily rate. It costs the same whether the equipment is rented for 6 hours or 24 hours. A lawyer can argue if it is legal to start the clock when an order is made. The equipment is not available to the customer until it is loaded and ready to leave Aba Daba. The rental rate is very high, especially when damage waiver is included. If one rents for more than a few days, he/she probably can buy the equipment with the rental fees. read more
