I normally bring my lawnmower in once a year for a tuneup etc. This year I just had a new sod lawn installed on the side yard and it was going to need it's first mow soon and I wanted it to be done with a fresh new blade. So I took it down at the beginning of the week hoping to have it back by Friday. Turns out they had a 3 week wait - something I've never encountered there before. The fellow because the counter suggested I could come grab it any time while it was waiting for service so on Saturday, I was starting to get nervous about the length of growth I was getting on that new sod so I called them to see if they were open so that I could come get the mower. Turns out it was finished! Woohoo! So I ran down there and picked it up. They are such a great crew there and they try hard to keep their customers happy. My lawn is happy and so am I.

Bar oil leakage after sitting for one cold night. The saw had not been operated prior.

I bought a new Husqvarna chainsaw last July and ran it for about an hour cutting down some dead trees on my mountain property. When I got home I put it on the shelf where I've stored other chainsaws (2) I owned in the past. I always put a sheet of cardboard beneath the saws to catch the small amount of bar oil drippage, which is normal. After a few weeks had gone by, I noticed the entire piece of cardboard was soaked with oil. So, I called Elk Grove Power Equipment in Nov. and asked if it was something they could repair. The guy I spoke with told me to try running it again, but this time, loosen the oil reservoir cap after running it to release pressure. He said it was probably residual pressure in the reservoir that was pushing out the oil. So I did just that and let it sit on a clean piece of cardboard overnight. The next day there was a big oil stain on the cardboard, a much bigger stain than any of my other chainsaws would leave. I then took it in to have the leak repaired (I even took in the piece of cardboard with the oil stain to show them). They said it would take 4 weeks - no problem with me. But then I got a call a couple of weeks later, and the guy started telling me the same thing: it's normal for a chainsaw to leak a little, and I should be releasing the pressure by loosening the cap. I asked if they even bothered to open it up and look at the oil line, and the answer was no. I reminded the guy about the piece of cardboard I brought in as proof of a leak, but to no avail. In other words, they didn't believe what I told them and decided not to bother repairing the saw even though it's under warranty! I went back there and picked up the chainsaw, putting it on a piece of clean cardboard in the back of my SUV like I always do. When I got home 30 minutes later, there was a fresh new oil stain - just as I expected. What's wrong with these people? The saw was under warranty, and all the mechanic had to do was take it apart and either tighten the oil line connections or replace it altogether. So now my only option is to find another equipment repair shop certified by Husqvarna. I will also send a copy of this review to Husqvarna and ask for their advice. Attached is a photo of a piece of cardboard that the chainsaw was sitting on overnight after I brought it back from EG Power Equipment. Those folks don't know what they are talking about.

Made it in here at my bosses recommendation for a motor for my Honda tiller. I had an older model Honda with a shaft that want in production anymore and with these guys help we where able to get a replacement motor, slightly larger (preferred) and had it in garage in just hours after ordering it! I was so impressed that I bought another 13hp Honda motor and that to went flawless! Thank you guys!

I've used this company for a few years now. They are helpful and seem to always have the equipment that I need at a reasonable cost.

But it shouldn't have been more than $206 in the first place. I used this place because I've used them in another state in the past. And they were awesome. Not so much at the Orangevale, CA location. The same rental down the street from my home wants $180. Should've gone there. Don't go off of previous experience at a different location

Recently rented a piece of equipment from Rental Guys for a week with a friend of mine. The charge…read morefor the equipment was $949.62, we paid in full and were on our way. Well two days later, no phone call or notification the account was charged an additional $309.25. Questioning it we called and were given the run around about trailer rental and discounts. This doesn't sit well with me, after all we agreed on a price for the week and paid in full. We did not authorize the additional charge because we were unaware of it. They just decided let's make them pay a little more without even a phone call. Here we are today, we returned the equipment and were provided a receipt. There was a break down on the receipt with all the equipment rented totaling $949.62 (the agreed upon amount. Then there was a flat charge for the $309.25, yep you guessed it, no break down, nothing about trailer discounts or equipment rented, no explanation at all just a charge. With some argument they refunded part of the charge (not all) because they said the manager was out sick. Long story short, I do not recommend Rental Guys, they will just charge you more without a written break down or real explanation of why. Terrible way to do business.
