We took Maximus in for his annual appointment. Dr. Singh took such great care in looking over Maximus. He had a broken.tooth which would have gone undetected. He is so caring when dealing with Maximus. Our puppy has a lot of anxiety when we take him to the vet. Dr. Singh really put Max and my husband at ease. Thank you so very much for the OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!!!!! We truly appreciate you!!!!

Due to the pandemic, current procedures for the visit.

I started using this vet hospital for checking out kittens that I adopted from the shelter and for them to get FL shots. Was there during the pandemic. Once there, they had me call them to check-in over the phone, then someone came and took the cats in. The vet called me to give a report and to verify the FL shots he recommended were ok. A staff member then brought the cats back out in their carrier. Price was reasonable. This vet accepts the free vet check coupon provided by the shelter. TINY parking area that holds 4 cars max and right onto Rainier Ave. Be careful leaving if you have to back out onto the road.

Front of the building with several signs instructing people to Stop, stay in their cars, call the office and someone will come out to you.

**COVID-19 Lockdown Edition** My cat ended up with an upset stomach so I thought I would take him in. Even COVID-19 impacts how we take our animals to the vet. I made my appointment over the phone and was instructed when I arrived to not come inside and instead call them. Upon arriving I noticed a series of signs telling people to stop, not come in, and please call for the safety of everyone. I called and a lady took my information over the phone and said that someone would be out to get my cat after I provided a description of my car. Fifteen minutes later a lady came out wearing a procedural mask and she took some notes and then took Ashi inside. I will admit I winced watching her take him inside as the carrier I have is a backpack carrier. It really is nice. But she carried him in by the one strap causing the whole thing to tilt about 45 degrees and I knew that my cat wouldn't be able to lay or stand comfortably being brought in like that. I felt bad since I knew he already wasn't happy about this whole experience. Fifteen minutes after that Dr. Singh called me and asked me a few questions. We talked for about fifteen minutes. He provided some recommendations for future appointments. He stated he would order some medicine and then proceed from there. Fifteen minutes later I received a call from the front desk asking for payment over the phone, saying there was medication and someone would be out with my cat and instructions on how to use the medicine. A woman wearing a cloth mask came out with my cat carrying the carrier by both straps and put him gently in the car. She gave me his medicine instructions and told me to call if there were any questions. I imagine it went the same length of time as usual but it felt longer being in the car for the whole hour. It was a little different not being able to do this face to face either. But all in all my cat got help he needed.

Waiting for someone to come out and get our big boy for his shots. So far waiting for over 10 min

Interesting. I've read so many good reviews I thought this place would be good. I was tired of going to south Seattle vet as the wait time is too long and there are no appointments. So I called this place and the lady was very nice and they had a slot open in two day's which I was surprised since other vets were booked out for months. My dog needed his two shots so they told me it will take 30 min for the whole appointment which is nice. I got a reminder call the day before which I appreciate. Then on Saturday we call their phone and waited in car as they've instructed and over 30 min of waiting, the other car got helped before we did even though we were here first and waited quite a while. So I called again to check our status and the front desk didn't even know we were here and told me nobody notified her that we were here. I mean, the technician that came out and helped the other car saw us but said nothing went back inside the office. Also, if we were scheduled at 2:30pm and if we don't show up, shouldn't they be calling us to confirm that we're coming or not? Anyways, so they apologized and we wait 5 min and someone picks up my dog. Prior to us coming here, when we were scheduling my dogs appointment, I told them to get the records of my dog from South Seattle Vet as I wasn't sure which shots were needed. They said they will but decided to wait out those 2 days until we're physically here to get their records; which results in us waiting longer time. We wait another 30 and called again and they now say my dog doesn't need vaccines...? I think whoever is at the front desk is not communicating with one another. Then she says the the Doc will call us back so we wait again for few minutes and finally he calls. At this point we are furious and explain to him our situation. He sincerely apologizes and asked if it was alright to explain his examinations of Zeke so we listened. Upon hearing him, I've never met any vet doc being so thorough with dog examination. I was actually surprised how he examined every spec of my dog. First he told me my dogs visions were ok and the ears are clean but noticed my dogs Lower tooth that had discoloration and also the rest of his teeth were pretty worn out and told us he needs dental cleaning as well as to remove that discolored tooth. Our previous south Seattle vet never told us anything about his teeth even after examination so that was a huge miss on their end...! Then he said my dog was over weight. Huh?! Nobody told me my dog was over weight?! He explained that usually you should easily feel his side ribs when you touch him but he's a little THICC he's 104 lbs so I gotta work him out. Fine. He said my dogs temps were normal but noticed some stiffness on his front legs which I told him sometimes he does get stiff as he's a bit older now so he told us to provide him some glucosamine which we do. None of the previous vet had noticed anything that Dr Singh has mentioned btw. Finally he asked when was the last time he got dewormed. Uh, I thought that's only for puppies but after googling apparently not. Anyways overall we were pretty impressed with Dr Singh however the wait time was really long and there seems to be a lot of miscommunication within the facility. Sadly this took shorter amount of time than south Seattle vet so we might be returning here and give it another go. If they worked on communication and also prepare in advance of the people who actually booked an appointment (like get the dogs previous records from their other vet like they were told to) I think this vet would do better.

Hello All you Pet Mama's & Papas, Renting Vet is the VERY BEST. PERIOD..I've been going to Renton Vet since I adopted my baby girl/cat Sarina June 11, 2007! There the ONLY Vet to see her. I've contacted other Vets closer to where we live. Honestly there All over priced $$$$, too busy, or they Lack interest in my conversation with them? I've had honest conversation with Dr Sing. I've also had Honest conversations with the girls whom answer Renton Vets phone. I contacted Renton Vet on Saterday around 11:00 am I had a dream there was something wrong qith my baby girl/cat. I was RIGHT. The receptionist told me "Yr cat is VERY SICK". I asked her "HOW DID SHE KNOW THIS?" I was shocked??? I immediately informed her I could take her to court for telling me this over the phone? Plus, I don't know her, she soesn't know me? How dare she say this OVER THE PHONE??? WHAT IS GOING ON??? That was so WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS. I spoke to Dr Sing that afternoon. FYI I was on vacation for 3 days @ a womens only AA camp. I told Dr Sing " DO YOU KNOW I COULD SUE YOU! SHE WAS SO COMFORTABLE TELLING ME MY BABY GIRL SHOUKD BE DEAD??? WTF??? I'm still pisses-off over that. That was so wrong. Her actions were literally inexcusable. PERIOD. I told Dr Sing I'm not going to sue however, YOU NEED to address her attitude towards communicating with yr clients. I was a Manager I've been an employee, her attitude needed to be addressed. We All talk about that issue for several HRS. We All talked, we ALL Listened, I never sued but I did say to the receptionist & Dr Sing this ever happens again I WILL SUE. I would be in the right. That happened last summer in August 2022. That have NEVER happen again. I'm a person who would rather discuss, talk, listen to each other in difficult situations. I've taken my baby girl back to Renton Vet since that incident happen! I will continue to take my baby girl to Renton Vet! Rachael, who worked there for a long time is AMAZING! She gives my baby girl baths, cleaning, cutting her nails ect.! Rachael Loves working with animals she Gental, Kind, alot of knowledge when it comes to my baby girl & I'm sure all the rest of the baby's that come thru their door!

Their pricing for the feline spay surgery was reasonable, and procedure was pretty straightforward. Drop off the pet around 8-9am, and pick up around noon. There was a bit of a line during pickup because one of their machines was down, so they had to serve all customers AND answer the phone. It must've been quite busy for them. They gave detailed instructions for aftercare, as well as the pain & antibiotic medicine. I think we found our kitty's new regular vet. :)

Over the course of treatment, they performed four surgeries that were later confirmed to be unnecessary, putting my dog through repeated anesthesia, pain, and recovery for no legitimate medical reason. Their lack of proper diagnosis, poor judgment, and complete disregard for the physical toll on my dog nearly cost her her life. At no point were we given clear explanations, alternative options, or convincing medical justification for why surgery after surgery was supposedly required. Each procedure created more complications, more suffering, and more fear. What makes this unforgivable is that much of this could have been avoided with competent care, thorough diagnostics, and basic professional caution. Instead, we were met with confidence without competence, and reassurance that turned out to be dangerously wrong. The emotional distress this caused our family -- watching our dog deteriorate because we followed professional advice -- is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. Veterinary care requires trust, and this clinic shattered it. I strongly urge pet owners to seek second opinions before consenting to any major procedures here. Had we done so earlier, my dog may have been spared immense pain and trauma.

Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of those expectations. We brought our dog in after she had been vomiting for days, hadn't eaten in two days, was panting heavily, whining in pain, and appeared to be having difficulty breathing. She was taken to the back immediately, but after that we were left sitting in an exam room for over an hour with no updates. We eventually went to the front desk ourselves to ask what was going on. We were told the doctor would be in shortly, and then waited another hour before he finally came to speak with us. During that conversation, we learned for the first time that our dog had arrived with a temperature of 104 degrees. We asked whether she still had a fever, and the doctor didn't know and said he would have to go check. About 30 minutes later, another staff member brought treatment estimates that included a quick scan ultrasound the doctor had never mentioned. This was the first time anyone told us that a quick scan ultrasound had supposedly been performed. We had questions about the findings, but no one could clearly explain them. When the doctor returned, he recommended additional bloodwork before realizing information from recent bloodwork was already in our dog's chart. Watching him review the chart in front of us after making recommendations significantly undermined our confidence in the care being provided. After approximately four hours, we left with a bill of more than $600, no diagnosis, no treatment plan, and no clear answers about what was causing our dog's symptoms. We were charged for an IV catheter and a quick scan ultrasound. Despite being told our dog arrived with a 104 degree fever, nobody ever explained why no treatment was provided for it. Emergency medicine is complicated, and not every case has an immediate diagnosis. What isn't acceptable is spending four hours in an emergency hospital with so little communication, so little doctor interaction, and so few answers.
