I took my grandfur for his bi-annual check up. He is up there in years, and he has Immune mediated poly arthritis. So far he's healthy, able to walk still, but not able to hear anymore. He and his brother will be 14 in August, and my daughter spends a lot of money to keep him healthy. The assistant and doctor Devine are very courteous, and you can tell they love doggy's. Place is pretty convenient for my daughter it's just down the street from Her house. Kinda far for me, but when my daughter has to go into then office, granny to the rescue.

Brought my puppy here after eating a mysterious pill. They got us in right away. The front staff lady was such a pleasure. And nurses and doctors had such good bedside manner. I've gone to another emergency vet before that was terrible and this place is the only place I'll go from now on! I cannot recommend this place enough. What a wonderful experience after a rough night.

We brought our sweet girl in late on a Saturday night, close to midnight, after she passed unexpectedly. The staff was incredibly compassionate and gentle during one of the hardest moments of our lives. I wish I could remember the name of the wonderful gal who helped us--she treated our Scout with such dignity and kindness. We are truly grateful for the care and compassion we received.

Blue Peal is the only place that I trust with my animals. Whether it's an emergency or I need to see one of their specialists, they have always been amazing. Sometimes they are incredibly busy and it is difficult to get in or there is a long wait, but that isn't their fault - it's just that there are a lot of pet owners who need help and also trust them to provide that help.

Everyone here was EXTREMELY kind, passionate & helpful. I can't remember her name, but the front desk girl working on 7/23 at 7am was the truly kindest & sweetest human on the planet. Every doctor was very patient with our dog. They never once made us feel bad for how crazy he was barking and let us have a private room while we figured out payment. They've called a few times too check in post surgery. We were a bit worried about our dogs surgery but the surgeon sat with us for awhile going over it & we felt no rush at all asking a bunch of questions! Thank you for a very smooth process that felt very comfortable! I'm glad our dog was in safe hands!

We've had two surgeries at Blue Pearl in Tukwila and wouldn't trust any other place. The staff and surgeons are incredibly friendly, caring, and supportive. They make sure you're fully informed every step of the way, from treatment details to costs. Our pet is always treated with kindness and love. We highly recommend this location!

This review is about the Pectus Excavatum procedure performed on an 8 weeks old kitten Kiwi by Dr. Ken Linde, Kiwi died while being in his care. The attached photo is Kiwi after he died. Kiwi was in comparatively good, stable condition, as Dr. Ken Linde stated Kiwi had a mild to moderate form of Pectus Excavatum, and could live fine without doing this surgery. I do NOT recommend this place for Pectus Excavatum surgery for several reasons: 1) Pectus Excavatum requires to perform this surgery at an early age, the earlier the more flexible that chest bone is, but this place doesn't know how to use anesthesia on young age kittens, either they used wrong type, or wrong dosage. To make matters worse this doctor put Kiwi back into anesthesia which caused even faster death. 2) He warned me that there is a risk of puncturing lungs, I should have listened. 3) He also mentioned that this surgery will not make 100% improvement, but only partial improvement, he will still have abnormal breathing - is it worth the risk? 4) Later, after Kiwi lost his life in this place, I found out that the success rate for this surgery is only 2%, the success rate is so small that it absolutely doesn't make sense to go for this surgery. 5) Even if your kitten survives this surgery, there is still a high risk that after 2-3 weeks the condition will get reverted back the way it originally was. 6) There are also other issues with this place. When the receptionist offered an 8 am appointment I didn't know the surgery would be in the afternoon, the receptionist DIDN'T tell me that, I would have NOT accepted such an appointment, because Kiwi wasn't weaned yet, he was still nursing. They assured me later (after I brought Kiwi in) that despite the long waiting time Kiwi will be fine, and that everything will be OK - Apparently not everything was OK, so much not OK that he died there. Kiwi could have been dehydrated and needed Lactated Ringer's solution injection, waiting 6 hours for surgery. Dehydrated blood is thicker and much harder to breathe. He could have needed a stronger painkiller injection (perhaps Butorphanol), maybe he just had an anxiety attack waiting for so long. Dr. Ken Linde put Kiwi back under anesthesia - Why did he put him back to anesthesia if he already had a hard time recovering from it, how can this help to recover from anesthesia by going back to anesthesia? The moment he told me on the phone that he put him back under anesthesia, I knew that was the end for Kiwi, and yes, 3 min later he called me back to tell me Kiwi is dead. I do NOT recommend this place and in particular I don't recommend Dr. Ken Linde.

Rosie was referred from Arrow Animal Urgent Care with a dx of vomiting & Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome and the Vet at Arrow stated that Rosie would need a level of care which OGVCC would provide as a 24-hour Emergency Vet Critical Care Hospital. OGVCC was anticipating our arrival and took Rosie back within 5 minutes. After the Vet had a chance to assess Rosie, he met with me and explained diagnosis, treatment plan and potential time frame Rosie may need to be hospitalized in order to recover. A big shout out of THANKS to Lexi & Rebecca who communicated daily, with Rosie updates, kept me informed of treatment/hospitalization charges, updated payments and coordinated with me, so I could do daily visits with Rosie. I'm so grateful to the holistic approach OGVCC provided Rosie during her 6-day hospitalization and happy to report she has been home for a week, is symptom free, eating well and being her goofy labrador self.

We had taken Penny in once before, and my husband and I both appreciated the set up of the clinic - you can see your animal being cared for and be with them every second. My first visit to the vet was quite concerning. My cat hadn't eaten or used the litter box for 12 hours since vomited, so I brought him in. They recommended an anti-nausea shot and IV fluids. When my cat was returned, I noticed blood spots on the technician's nose. He denied my cat bled, but another technician later confirmed he did bleed a little. Why would the first technician lie? Second visit: 12 hours later, I brought my cat back because he wasn't getting any better. It was almost midnight, and they told us we'd have to wait 2 to 4 hours for an X-ray. My cat also got another fluid injection while we waited, plus some sedative for the scan. Hours later, the vet said there was some unidentifiable object in his middle abdomen that wasn't blocking anything, and he had a really low white blood cell count and a fever. It was almost 1 AM, and everyone was exhausted, but the way the vet explained things made me so worried, especially when he brought up pancreatitis. I wish he could've just said it simply so I could understand and not freak out so much. My cat was sent home again, with antibiotics for the fever and another 12 hours of monitoring.. My poor cat was so stressed and scared after his visit, he even hid when we got home and peed himself! I can't imagine what he went through or saw behind those closed doors, it was so unnecessarily stressful for everyone. Thankfully, he used his litter box and ate a little later that night.

the last thing a pet owner wants ahead of a long weekend is a trip to the emergency vet; actually,…read moremost pet owners i know aren't excited about emergency vet visits at any time of year but when they happen and you want to make sure your fur baby is ok, you go, regardless of the costs involved. late last week i made the decision to take my dog in with an issue i've seen him have before but this time all my efforts didn't curb the symptoms and i decided i'd get a jump on what promised to be a full emergency waiting room ahead of fireworks and loud noises. the closest VEG location to me is in interbay but when i called they suggested i go to lynwood, federal way or redmond because they were already slammed. so up to lynnwood we went and when we walked in, i got an introduction into how differently VEG locations handle things. each pet/human is greeted and triaged. the open concept of seeing everyone working and every other patient out in the open may be different from what you're used to but it demystifies things for sure. you're not left wondering what's happening to your pet behind closed doors. and in an emergency when your cortisol levels may already be elevated this is most likely a welcome difference in protocol. we were ushered to an alcove with a couch and someone came over with a laptop to get details and reasons why we were there. minutes later a tech and vet arrived and we talked to them. she patiently listened and said she'd develop a plan for how to investigate what was going on and in retrospect i appreciated that she didn't go straight to imaging and other costly testing but decided to go the route of labs/biochemical diagnoses to rule things like pancreatitis out. once she left us, i got a text message with a quote and link to pre pay. having done that, we waited a bit longer and another pair of staff arrived to draw blood. we were told it would take about 30min for lab results. we waited, we watched the staff moving around to different patients with different needs levels. eventually the vet returned with lab results and recommendations before another tech came with discharge papers and a goodie bag of sample gastrointestinal foods. all told, we were there about two hours and i was highly impressed with the level of service and care we received. things were clean, the staff all seemed positive about the company they are employed by and they genuinely care about delivering a high standard of care to everyone who walked through the doors, human and animal. one thing i appreciated was that the vet mentioned that i could call or email with follow up questions and also mentioned that if we needed to return, we could go to the interbay location because all locations are connected and would have access to his file/treatments. yesterday we received a follow up text to check on him, also encouraging calls if we have questions. VEG seems to have emergency veterinary service and human customer service dialed in. it's hard to know who and where to go in an emergency but i'd carried the VEG name and number in my phone for years without having a need to use them; now i can say that i'd recommend them based on our experience this past weekend.
