I took my grandfur for his bi-annual check up. He is up there in years, and he has Immune mediated poly arthritis. So far he's healthy, able to walk still, but not able to hear anymore. He and his brother will be 14 in August, and my daughter spends a lot of money to keep him healthy. The assistant and doctor Devine are very courteous, and you can tell they love doggy's. Place is pretty convenient for my daughter it's just down the street from Her house. Kinda far for me, but when my daughter has to go into then office, granny to the rescue.

Brought my puppy here after eating a mysterious pill. They got us in right away. The front staff lady was such a pleasure. And nurses and doctors had such good bedside manner. I've gone to another emergency vet before that was terrible and this place is the only place I'll go from now on! I cannot recommend this place enough. What a wonderful experience after a rough night.

We brought our sweet girl in late on a Saturday night, close to midnight, after she passed unexpectedly. The staff was incredibly compassionate and gentle during one of the hardest moments of our lives. I wish I could remember the name of the wonderful gal who helped us--she treated our Scout with such dignity and kindness. We are truly grateful for the care and compassion we received.

Blue Peal is the only place that I trust with my animals. Whether it's an emergency or I need to see one of their specialists, they have always been amazing. Sometimes they are incredibly busy and it is difficult to get in or there is a long wait, but that isn't their fault - it's just that there are a lot of pet owners who need help and also trust them to provide that help.

We've had two surgeries at Blue Pearl in Tukwila and wouldn't trust any other place. The staff and surgeons are incredibly friendly, caring, and supportive. They make sure you're fully informed every step of the way, from treatment details to costs. Our pet is always treated with kindness and love. We highly recommend this location!

Everyone here was EXTREMELY kind, passionate & helpful. I can't remember her name, but the front desk girl working on 7/23 at 7am was the truly kindest & sweetest human on the planet. Every doctor was very patient with our dog. They never once made us feel bad for how crazy he was barking and let us have a private room while we figured out payment. They've called a few times too check in post surgery. We were a bit worried about our dogs surgery but the surgeon sat with us for awhile going over it & we felt no rush at all asking a bunch of questions! Thank you for a very smooth process that felt very comfortable! I'm glad our dog was in safe hands!

This review is about the Pectus Excavatum procedure performed on an 8 weeks old kitten Kiwi by Dr. Ken Linde, Kiwi died while being in his care. The attached photo is Kiwi after he died. Kiwi was in comparatively good, stable condition, as Dr. Ken Linde stated Kiwi had a mild to moderate form of Pectus Excavatum, and could live fine without doing this surgery. I do NOT recommend this place for Pectus Excavatum surgery for several reasons: 1) Pectus Excavatum requires to perform this surgery at an early age, the earlier the more flexible that chest bone is, but this place doesn't know how to use anesthesia on young age kittens, either they used wrong type, or wrong dosage. To make matters worse this doctor put Kiwi back into anesthesia which caused even faster death. 2) He warned me that there is a risk of puncturing lungs, I should have listened. 3) He also mentioned that this surgery will not make 100% improvement, but only partial improvement, he will still have abnormal breathing - is it worth the risk? 4) Later, after Kiwi lost his life in this place, I found out that the success rate for this surgery is only 2%, the success rate is so small that it absolutely doesn't make sense to go for this surgery. 5) Even if your kitten survives this surgery, there is still a high risk that after 2-3 weeks the condition will get reverted back the way it originally was. 6) There are also other issues with this place. When the receptionist offered an 8 am appointment I didn't know the surgery would be in the afternoon, the receptionist DIDN'T tell me that, I would have NOT accepted such an appointment, because Kiwi wasn't weaned yet, he was still nursing. They assured me later (after I brought Kiwi in) that despite the long waiting time Kiwi will be fine, and that everything will be OK - Apparently not everything was OK, so much not OK that he died there. Kiwi could have been dehydrated and needed Lactated Ringer's solution injection, waiting 6 hours for surgery. Dehydrated blood is thicker and much harder to breathe. He could have needed a stronger painkiller injection (perhaps Butorphanol), maybe he just had an anxiety attack waiting for so long. Dr. Ken Linde put Kiwi back under anesthesia - Why did he put him back to anesthesia if he already had a hard time recovering from it, how can this help to recover from anesthesia by going back to anesthesia? The moment he told me on the phone that he put him back under anesthesia, I knew that was the end for Kiwi, and yes, 3 min later he called me back to tell me Kiwi is dead. I do NOT recommend this place and in particular I don't recommend Dr. Ken Linde.

However, his cytology report is urgent to know if the antibiotics should work or he needs a steroid for inflammation I called once in the morning, once in the evening, finally stressing that he was not eating, and I might have to make a terrible decision this weekends. If I'm lucky, I will get a call today otherwise it's going to be tomorrow. Well, tomorrow might be too late if he does need steroids. I get that it's just the ER vets to do that calling, but somehow they've got to carve out time when your pet is having a life-threatening situation and lab results could mean changing treatment I'm not sure I would use them again. EDIT: they've now had my cat's cytology results for at least 36 hours but they are "understaffed" and will perhaps call me today. But I can of course "bring him back in" This is completely unacceptable

I'm feeling much better with the communication is key to a happy customer. Feeling they care and are concerned. Brought my pet in, we called ahead they were ready for him. Took him back right away. We had to ask a couple times for an update. Finally taken to a room to see Dr. told we could get written estimates 12 hour cheaper or 24 hour more expensive. We went middle of the row and put down $2900 some odd cents left him overnight. Was told we would get updates, texts. No calls no texts had to call. When we left him last night he was stable and doing well. My family member called to check on the pet, he's fine. Told he would be ready later today. I called on my way home and waited on hold for 28 min told I can pick him up at 8pm. This is the 24 hour mark. I don't feel well so I ask if I can pick him up sooner I'm told no I can't. I was just diagnosed with an infection right before I took my pet in, I feel so lousy and it don't seem to matter to these people who I pay good money to watch my stable pet since last night and charge arm and legs to hold my pet hostage. I won't be going here to chase answers and not get caring people to reach out to me and provide service. No way I'll go back to Sumner's animal hospital who care more for pets and pet parents.

When it was time to say goodbye we were taken to a private room so we could spend as much time as we needed together. They made sure it was a peaceful passing for Penny, but also regularly checked in on me and explained everything kindly and thoroughly. I would like to especially shout out Ashton, who was kind enough to make Penny a beautiful plate of sweets and even shared her own piece of pie. It was so helpful to be around such a caring individual at the worst moment of my life. We had taken Penny in once before, and my husband and I both appreciated the set up of the clinic - you can see your animal being cared for and be with them every second. We didn't ever stay overnight with Penny during a hospitalization, but what an amazing thing to be able to be with them the whole time. Other emergency vets aren't like that. Thank you, VEG!

She had been scratching around her eyes, and had developed some scratches that were inflamed. Ultimately, she was prescribed antibiotics, with a proposed eye dye. The medical director was my treating vet, and she explained why the eye dye was suggested, but not required. In an expensive time, I'm very appreciative that they didn't push for an unnecessary test. She and the team all had great bedside manner. Yes, the wait was a bit long, but it wasn't through any fault of the staff; multiple stat cases had come in and understandably, skin irritation wasn't at the top of the to-do list. Also, they did let me know up front that it would be a bit of a wait, so again, good communication. While I hope I never have to take my baby into an emergency vet, I would definitely come back to VEG.

My first visit to the vet was quite concerning. My cat hadn't eaten or used the litter box for 12 hours since vomited, so I brought him in. They recommended an anti-nausea shot and IV fluids. When my cat was returned, I noticed blood spots on the technician's nose. He denied my cat bled, but another technician later confirmed he did bleed a little. Why would the first technician lie? Second visit: 12 hours later, I brought my cat back because he wasn't getting any better. It was almost midnight, and they told us we'd have to wait 2 to 4 hours for an X-ray. My cat also got another fluid injection while we waited, plus some sedative for the scan. Hours later, the vet said there was some unidentifiable object in his middle abdomen that wasn't blocking anything, and he had a really low white blood cell count and a fever. It was almost 1 AM, and everyone was exhausted, but the way the vet explained things made me so worried, especially when he brought up pancreatitis. I wish he could've just said it simply so I could understand and not freak out so much. My cat was sent home again, with antibiotics for the fever and another 12 hours of monitoring.. My poor cat was so stressed and scared after his visit, he even hid when we got home and peed himself! I can't imagine what he went through or saw behind those closed doors, it was so unnecessarily stressful for everyone. Thankfully, he used his litter box and ate a little later that night.
