Harbortown Point is truly so special. The kitchen staff are so kind and make amazing home made bread, treats, and execute the hotel menu perfectly. They really do everything they can to make you feel at home! They made me a birthday treat last year which was just the best and really made things feel special! The homemade baked goods are also to die for! The rooms are gorgeous and they really thought of everything when designing them. I've never once thought "oh I wish they had this or that," because they literally included everything you could possibly need. The pool and hot tub are exquisite. The views are wonderful. Birds of all kinds fill the trees in the courtyard area that the hotel encircles. If you are lucky enough to get a harbor view, you will see sea birds, sea lions, and maybe even dolphins. We are missing this place this year, but can't wait to be back next year. It really is such a gem. I've included pictures of the various views from the different rooms we've stayed in and all the interior/ property photos I could find on a quick dig through my camera roll. We really can't wait to be back!

What a lovely property and fantastic location!…read more We were able to exchange through our DVC membership and I was SO EXCITED to see this location had availability during the annual Ventura Harbor Parade of Lights & Fireworks(separate review) weekend. We spotted this location last year when we were walking around the Ventura Harbor area for exercise, but discovered it is an owner-based/timeshare property. Previous Yelp reviews expressing disappointment that they could not change rooms when they could tell not all units were occupied may not understand the logistics and booking procedure for a owner-based resort property. That being said, when I booked through our exchange, I was confirmed with room #306, then found a map of the property online to see what type of view we may have. Not lucky enough to get a Harborside View room, but we were VERY happy with our "balcony in the trees". The reason I'm not committing to 5 stars is the tiny bed and the compact fridge. I think the bed is listed as a Queen, but it felt smaller than that. We could've elected to utilize the Queen pullout sofa, but didn't want to hassle with putting it away each day for the use of the sofa during TV viewing. But we made do with the bed, which was quite comfortable. The fridge was about the size of the mini dishwasher, and had a small freezer compartment, but also had warnings posted to not overfill, which we seemed to manage with our gallon of milk, pint of creamer, dozen eggs and cold cuts. So, yeah, a larger fridge would be nice, but I don't know where they could fit one in the unit, so we'll be sure to alter our cold food plan on a future stay. Hands down, Harbortown Point had THE MOST in-room supplies for a comfortable stay! My pictures show all the cookware, utensils, dishes, bakeware - microwave/convection oven with a user manual! There was also plenty of supplies should we need to clean anything or do dishes. Also a nice basket of coffee and tea to get us started in the AM. We were provided with a checklist upon check-in, asking me to make sure the inventory matched what was in the unit. I didn't know homework was going to be assigned, but the "Monica" in me LOVED IT! That showed me the owners here truly do care about upkeep and efficiency! There was actually more items in the unit than listed, so I cheerfully provided additional notes. LOL! Other features we enjoyed: A automated gas fireplace, with push button start was cozy, the curtains around the "bedroom area" of the studio suite were something I had never seen before and LOVED! The HUUUUGE bathroom with seated vanity table, the large balcony with pub height table and chairs, where we could sit at sunset and see the Channel Islands through the trees, the comfortable furnishing, the detailed instructions and binder for the property and surrounding areas, with suggestions of sites and activities, all the work put into the holiday lights! Just beautiful and welcoming. The property itself is well maintained. Evidence of ongoing work is evident throughout. Ken is a friendly maintenance guy, painting and working on upkeep around the grounds, and another A/C & Heating guy was also there during our stay. We really enjoyed our time at this special property, with plenty of included parking and plenty of interesting sights within walking distance. Harbortown Point gave us a relaxing, quiet stay and we very much look forward to returning many more times. Cheers! "CC"

No change in attitude when my dad confirmed the hotel was for us. She never even asked for our information and she would have seen that we have the same last name. Then when we got into our room we had the lovely experience of living in a hotel for a week without a dresser. Why is there no dresser? Instead of a dresser you get two drawers that are deep and ground level basically the same as leaving your shit in a suitcase. Like that's so cheap and trashy. This was maybe my biggest issue. It's lacking accessibility When we booked the hotel there was a picture of a pool. When we arrived we were told they don't actually have a pool and if you want to go to a pool you have to go to the hotel next door which isn't easily accessed by walking so basically forced to drive there or take a very interesting walk. Just don't lie about having a pool like you pissed me off so bad from the jump with that. Why do you have the maid service set up like that? So when we first got there the rude ass receptionist asked us what days we wanted housekeeping. I've never dealt with this in a hotel. So my mom said Tuesday and Thursday but then we didn't get it Tuesday or Wednesday so we only got it Thursday. You are a hotel on the beach. Wtf. So we were forced to live in a sand filled room for days and when we asked for housekeeping on Wednesday we were treated like we were being ridiculous. The staff of this hotel really truly put such a negative cloud over my stay. Like truly fuck you guys. This place could be a decent hotel if yall weren't so cheap. That dove lotion in the bathroom is terrible. It feels so bad. The ugly pancakes were surprisingly decent

Both valet and the parking structure had several EV level 2 charging stations; valet charging was free. ChargePoint paid charging available at the parking structure; not sure what the cost is. Pier view isn't great, and the sounds of music from The Aloha steakhouse, constantly made into the room on the 9th floor. I was the second room from the furthest point and still didn't have much of a view. I had a small balcony which provided fresh air and a place to dry wet bathing suits. At least 3 times a day you would hear the loud train noise even on the 9th floor; I'd suggest the sunset view vs pier view going forward. The restroom was extremely small, the water pressure was low at all times; sink and shower. The sliding barn door had frosted glass which blinded the entire room with the bathroom lights on in a dark room; poor design choice as the door was only 1-2 feet away from the bed. The pool was heated but not @80 degrees as described; complementary towels available at the front desk. Drinks are allowed on the pool deck but must be in plastic; no glass allowed. The Aloha bar had friendly bartenders with decent food and drink options; I wasn't a fan of the ahi salad, it had too much wasabi in the dressing. The hotel was located about a 5min drive from downtown Ventura and a 10min walk, this location wasn't as centrally located like the Clocktower hotel but likely less noise from foot traffic. Late check out @1 is complementary and prioritized with IHG rewards members, however I was not allowed the option. I doubt I'd return due to the above mentioned. Late check out should always be an option.

Just finished an amazing Labor Day Weekend stay at the Rolling Thunder Ranch. We had a fantastic time at the ranch and were shocked at how much the property felt like a tropical resort. Sleeping was a little tight for the 15 people we had, but with the great weather we were able to put inflatable mattresses pool side and make use of the hammocks. We will be back!

We were also celebrating our first grandchild as well as our younger son's engagement, and we couldn't have found a better spot for quality time and making memories. The outdoor spaces are extraordinary, gorgeous nature, minutes from town and shopping with resort amenities - had an all-day bocce tournament, epic morning workouts in the giant yoga room, ping pong + frisbee games, long soaks in the hot tub, and hikes to the nearby picturesque river trail. Also outdoor lunches with vistas of the mountains and lush tropical foliage. The beds in the charming ranch home are super comfy and we had some excellent game nights and dinners at home, plus great meals out (Roblars, Rory's Place, The Hip Vegan, The Dutchess). Our granddaughter slept well with her parents in the guest house, and our granddog was happy to run around in a safe fenced area. Communication with Lisa was perfect. Can't wait to return...A+++
