Alex came over to help to diagnose the 'water not filling' issue with my less-than-four-years-old washing machine. During the first visit, after one hour, he concluded that the main board might be faulty since other major parts were tested good. Then I ordered a brand new part from eBay and replaced the main board by myself. However, it did not work out and I called Alex again and he stayed with me during the night to continue to troubleshooting the issues with several test modes to verify which part was behaving good or had potential issues. We were exhausted with options after hours and finally, after accidently replugin the wire for the dispenser motor, everything went back to normal. We used another AC Repair company (I think due to an immediate need) that diagnosed our AC unit with a problem that would cost $1000s and be a large investment. I figured we should try another company to see if the diagnosis could be different (and as a result, a lower, more friendly pricepoint). Luckily, we then engaged with Repix. I needed my A/C to be looked into as it wasn't cooling - Alexey came, tested for Freon pressure, equipment functioning and pretty quickly had the issue identified and fixed. He did say that if the unit actually blew something or lost a chunk more Freon then replacement would be better than repair, and he gave me a rough estimate because I asked for the replacement cost - but he didn't push anything and himself said use it as it is and only replace if something important broke. I rarely end up having to write negative reviews because I always give businesses the benefit of the doubt by giving them a few chances to rectify any issues that may come up--I don't expect perfection and am pretty understanding. However, when I see a business with many positive reviews, but have a completely opposite experience, I think it's important as a consumer to make sure that other potential consumers as well as the business owner take note of unprofessionalism as I experienced leading to wasted time, and in this case a washing machine that is now going to be out of service for a week longer now, and counting. I set up a time to get an estimate for my 3 year old LG washer that was leaking. I was able to quickly set up an appointment with this company at what seemed like a good price for an estimate up front that would be waived after the repair. I was given a 2 hour window and I asked for the tech to send me an sms when they were on the way. I received a msg 35 min before the end of the time window. I waited an hour and still no technician arrived and I got no further messages. At 25 min after the window closed I said that I would need to reschedule because I couldn't wait any longer. I was immediately contacted by the company who said they would try to locate the tech. He ended up showing about 10 min later. I waited and postponed my meeting so we could complete the estimate. Alexsey the tech seemed personable and knowlegeable, quickly diagnosed my issue, sent me an invoice via sms for the estimate, and told me to expect the estimate to be sent to my email later that same day. I attempted to pay the invoice, but the link just gave an error message so I wasnt able to remit the payment, also I never received any estimate to my email. I wrote the company an email and also sent an sms to inform them about the invoice problem and requested the estimate asap. I also had an email from them extending a 15% discount for the inconvenience of having been late. There is no better way for a business to get on my good side than to demonstrate that they value my time and want to make things right. Another day passes though with no response to my follow up. I call the business number and speak to Alexsey briefly. I ask him to resend the invoice so I can pay it and request the estimate again. He tells me I will get them right away. I wait a couple of hours, and after still not receiving anything call Alexsey again. Now I get no answer. And here we are the day after that, and I haven't received nor heard anything, so I'm back to square one, and have to have another company come out for the estimate/repair. I'm not sure what's going on there, but I can't say I've ever been so thoroughly blown off by a business like that before. Like I said at the beginning, I was nothing but courteous the entire time and gave them multiple opportunities to do what they said they would. If a business is having such a problem issuing an invoice and writing a simple repair estimate, then maybe they shouldn't be in business. read more
