Ladies, Here is a life lesson I'd like to share. Walking into a Harley-davidson dealer by myself was a bit intimidating but I had done my research and knew what I wanted. The first dealer I went to was great at first and it wasn't until I wanted to review the contract overnight that my sales guy, Curt at Mancuso Central, became condescending acting like I didn't need to worry my pretty head with all those figures. I loved the bike but I WALKED. I then went to Republic Harley and the difference was night and day. My salesman, Dwight, was genuinely interested in finding the right bike and right deal for me. Long story short, the buying experience was actually fun and exciting!! OFFICIALLY As of today I am the proud owner of a Harley f@#&^*Davidson!! Here is a tip: try to go in with a preapproved loan. I have been coming in off and on for a couple of months looking at bikes, researching what I wanted, and ultimately purchased a new street glide special tonight as they made me a deal I couldn't walk away from. I am so happy with Mike Mills and Matt Johnson and the rest of the staff for my experience. I even met the owner of the dealership....never had that happen before when I boughts vehicles. Bright my mom here to get a t-shirt and poker chips for a friend in NY, and e were greeted right away, and the lady that helped us was very nice, she even went in the back to find a specific size. They're open on Mondays (unlike Stubbs) and they are a huge store, right off 59. They have a lot of bikes and a good selection of helmets and clothes. Very clean. Labor Day weekend, if you go on a test ride you get a $20 gift card for their clothing, accessories. Etc. I plan on buying my 2011 touring bike here. read more

Purchased bike there and had an oil leek when I got home with it. Not a huge deal maybe 12 bolts, oil, and a new gasket. They basically told me I was SOL. The management and sales team there are horrible. You are better going to Mancuso or buying a bike off ebay....you have better protection there. I would never recommend these people until they get some new staff. Way to piss off a 15 yr Harley owner. read more

We bought a motorcycle years ago from Republic and were not overly impressed with this dealership. Since that time, we have been inundated with junk mail from Republic. For over five years, we have both written and called in numerous attempts to be removed from their mailing list. Republic's behavior has become both harassing and stalking. Avoid them. read more

Went 9/22 to buy a bike. Republic cost was 18% to 20% higher vs other Harley dealers for 2018. Sales & negotiation & tactics were unethical & used at least 10yrs ago. They never left me & my partner alone for a minute. Sales kept trying to look at my phone & listen to private our conversations. Wasted an entire day only to show up at the end of the day with a piece of paper where they scribbled all sorts of nonsense with a marker and at the bottom in big letters "you win" with a final figure cost. Numerous negotiations were required because the cost offered was above retail list & because sales provided a low ball offer on our trade in. I could not even read the itemized quote with all detailed cost charged which included all sorts of processing fees thanks to all the scribbles done by sales manager on the paper quote while he "tried to explain" because he assumed we couldn't read the fine print. Being an educated woman, the approach & communication tactics used by Republic Harley sales were shady, condescending, may work on a 4yr old. There was also a surprise 2k charge at the end of the day which sales decided to charge only after we declined to purchase the bike. My partner had a small issue with one bike before leaving the lot on a test drive where 2 employees ran up to help immediately. They didn't make mention all day of any issue or damage. When we declined on to purchase of a bike, the sales manager then decided to claim 2k in damages for a test drive.- without offering to return those parts they claimed they had to replace for all the damage which they claimed left the bike in "un-sellable condition. Sales manager also drafted some other letter (not a standard form) demanding signature which would release them of any liability & guaranteeing payment for test drive. That form was not part of the test drive documents & was not mentioned in the test drive document so I refused to sign it. They would not let us leave the store until we gave payment with a credit card where they advised we had to agree to their damage estimate without question, dispute or return of parts they claimed were damaged. This would have been the 3rd Harley purchased in 10yrs for us. As an American woman hate, I hate to buy foreign, but unfortunately it seems a good bike, fair price & treatment, is that too much to ask for at these days at #replublicharleydavidson, #harleydavidson?! Beyond disappointed & dissatisfying experience at Republic. Republics response to my review is not only an inaccurate summary of the accounts that took place that day as the manager was not involved, but also shows they only care about being right vs making things right. read more

I was a loyal customer but you lost me. After one of my bikes broke down on the Brazos river bridge and 99 and you guys told me that you would not work on the 89 softail after I explained the symptoms I think you guys have become nothing put parts changers instead of mechanics. Mancuso came to pick up the bike 40 dollar charge the driver said it was most likely a clutch adjustment not the transmission and he was right so after the clutch adjustment, spring fluid overhaul, new seals for the Rockers out of state inspection Republic you lost out on a 780 sale plus all my future work for my 89 softail and my 2009 road king. I just bought my sportster 1200 72 at republic today, it took like 6 hours so at the end they were closing and we were all in a hurry. When I got home and looked over the paperwork I realized they charged me 508$ for dealing installed accessories and I did not purchase any accessories.So they basically stole 500 bucks from me and I will not be giving them my business ever again read more

I've taken my bike in for two different services at two different times and each time Edgar was my service writer. He has been friendly, personable and professional all at the same time. Both times I've been in and out of the shop sooner than expected putting me back on the road to enjoy my bike. I wanted to buy my first Harley because of the brand reputation. The bikes look awesome and every Harley owner describes the community of bike owners as exceptional. The softtail deluxe was a beautiful bike that was fun to ride. The bike was so impressive in fact, that two weeks later I traded it in for a 2014 CVO Road King which is even better. My sales guy Terry at republic was awesome as well. The way he handled the sale from the time I walked in until the time he handed me off to Manni the sales manager. The financing process was smooth a quick so I signed the papers and moved on for my dealership tour which was also good. I moved on down the road and began enjoying my new bike. I was very happy with the bike and instantly knew owning a HD was going to be a long term love affair which is why 2 short weeks I went CVO shopping. I ended up buying one as well which is where republic's integrity and brand loyalty went down the tube. I've never been more unimpressed with a sales manager in my life. Being that the new purchase was 30k plus I decided to shop around a little. I looked at another local dealer and crunched the numbers a little. Going back to Republic I expected a similar deal seeing how I was buying my second bike in a single month. To my surprise they tried to sale me the bike at 7 k above MSRP. I told Manni there was no way and told him what I wanted, he immediately started bad mouthing the other dealer and told me that I was not going to get the deal I was promised and if I did the other dealership was full of idiots. I'm in sales and I see this act as being disrespectful and demeaning to the brand so I went to the other dealership and spent my money. After trading in my softail deluxe I cancelled all of my warranties only to discover Republic sold me a non-refundable in-dealership maintenance package for $1500. I was very shocked because everything else I bought was through HD and was transferrable to another dealership and cancellable except the maintenance package. Normally I'd say this is my own fault but every person in that dealership knew before I purchased my bike that I had less than one month in Houston before I'd move to Midland, TX. 9 hours away. Even though Republic knew that I was moving they still snow balled me with a local package when HD offers a package that transfers. It took me 3 weeks of hassling with the GM before I was given a gift card for half of the package value. At this point I also wanted to resolve a we owe you slip. I was told when I bought my bike that it had a stage 1 kit which included pipes, tuner and dyno. Much to my surprise my friend asked me if I had the tuner and I said now after going back to the dealer and inquiring about the tuner it was investigated and determined that all I had was the exhaust done on my new bike which is why I had the slip. Unfortunately when I tried to collect the tuner to be used for my new CVO I was told the slip was void even though I had already paid for it as part of my financed purchase of the Softtail deluxe. At this point I was so angry and frustrated and by republic I was telling all of my friends. My experience convinced two of my friends to go to a different dealership for the purchase of their bikes. At the end of it all I did receive the half value gift card and the tuner but it was after weeks of being blown off and treated like garbage by republic. I'm so displeased with my experience and I'm sad to think about how many other must feel the same way. This behavior reflects very poorly on the HD brand and damages the reputation in my eyes. I expected to be treated as part of a family of motorcycle owners but instead I was treated like a chump. The only think I can say is that my salesperson Terry was excellent and he did a great job of matching me with my bike. He always treated me with respect and checked in on me. If he ever goes to another dealership, I will certainly consider buy my bike from him. As an owner of a Harley, I ask that you please look into the way this dealership is treating its clients. Manni is awful and does not deserve his position. During my last visit he also tried to coerce me into giving him all 10's on this survey....another low point in his professionalism. read more

Go elsewhere, this dealer has cool salespeople but that is it. First off they tried to sneak an extra $1500 in after we had made the deal. I had to go back to the sales manager and waste my time to get them to drop the price back to what I agreed upon. Big shocker, nobody could ever tell me where that $1500 charge was coming from. So I finish up the deal and go outside to take delivery of my new street glide. The bike was filthy and had white streaks all over the denim black paint and water spots and crap on the chrome. I went back in and told my sales guy, who was always very helpful. He went to the service dept and got some special denim paint cleaner and a towel, wiped up the white crap and gave me the cleaner and the special micro fiber towel which was awesome. So I just say ok and take it home and ride and clean it myself. Once my 1000 mile service came around I took it back to republic and they told me they would clean it up really nice for me. The next day I go back and it has greasy hand prints all over the seat and denim paint which should never have grease or oil on it at all! Every other dealer on the planet details the bikes before sale and at every service. I won't spend another dime here. read more

OK - if you have a Harley, you know the dealers are not cheap. Same for every kind of dealer whether for new or used, service or parts. They just rip you off. This summer I took my 2006 Harley Sportster 883 there for the 5k service. The fees were reasonable - the people pleasant (but they will NOT call you back if you want to check on service items). Too many people work their for anyone to be responsible for your call or your bike. When I went in recently, there must have been 100-150 bikes for sale and at least twice that many in for services. The ratio of employees to clients seems reasonable but they just miss the mark for serious customer care. It bothers me even more that the dealership continues to raise prices and lower value ratios. Everything you can get here - you can get on-line, or at another bike shop and you will not feel like you have to keep your hand on your wallet when you get close to Republic. It reminds me of Mercedes Benz of Greenway - it is such a visually impressive place, it draws people in - hum - think Las Vegas and remember what happens to your money here. All that said - if it were not 46 degrees outside, I would be out for a ride. read more

My sales guy Scot, is awesome. Friendly and informative without being that pushy sales guy. I would highly recommend Scot to anyone. His boss, Ronnie is very good as well, very sincere about making sure the motorcycle I get is the one for me as far as fit, feel, and long term satisfaction. Took the motorcycle riding course and Jerry and Joy are excellent instructors. Everyone there at Republic are good people. Highly recommend this place if your are in the market for a Harley. This is my first brand new CVO that I have ever purchased. I bought a used CVO from Republic approximately 2 years ago. That purchase was excellent too. Everyone was great from Ronnie and Don working to help me about the bike, to Elliot in the review of the bike, and all the other players in the middle. Due diligence and time was taken to ensure I was getting exactly what I was looking for. We had to do some problem solving on the parts I wanted to add, but with the parts departments help it was a breeze. I'll keep coming back to Republic. read more

I was recently helping out a buddy's widow with getting his 2014 ultra limited serviced. Made an appointment online and the appointment was set up within minutes (by the way I ended up having a time conflict and the service department handled my need professionally and quickly). Anyway I got the bike in - they handled all the needed service items, checked for recall items (there were 2 recalls) and they gave me an honest and accurate estimate as to the time to perform the jobs. Overall I was glad I offered to help out a friend and I was glad I took the bike to Republic HD. read more
