Despite me providing proof of my own active insurance policy, they deliberately charged me for their own insurance at the start of the third month and point-blank refused to refund the money. It is clear that their business model relies on trapping customers in unauthorized charges and then hiding behind "administrative requirements" to keep your money. To make matters worse, the units are not the size they advertise. They consistently shave inches off the units--likely to cram more people into the facility--meaning you are paying for space you are not actually receiving. When I challenged them on this, they tried to offer me a "credit" for a unit I am already moving out of, showing that they have no intention of ever actually making things right. This is a dishonest, money-grabbing operation. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else.

The answer is the local dump referred to Solid Waste disposal. It shares an entrance with the recycling center but has a separate driveway where your vehicle gets weighed pre and post drop off. The charge currently is a reasonable 3.5 cents per pound. Even though all my items were weighed down and ruined by water the charge is still reasonable. Thanks Shelby County for providing an alternate to recycling when the items can't be sorted for recycling.
