The staff was very responsive initially, but now there are very limited hours when they can be reached. This is causing a delay in trying to set up an appointment to get the dog spayed. We need to get this done sooner than later, as she could go into heat at any time now. If this is how MARS operates, I would not recommend going through them for a pet foster or adoption!

After 3 days of that exam she stopped by the house to see her. She was so considerate, Thank you Dr DeJong! That was my last dog that we had to say goodbye to this last March. We now have a new puppy and a new Dr, Dr Taylor who must have bought the business she was pleasant and did not push products on us. She was honest. I want to continue my relationship with her for our puppy but just don't know her very well yet. Any input regarding her, Dr Taylor would be greatly appreciated.

Their vet technicians are also kind and very patient as they helped my 11 year old terrified pittie girl calm down before she had her nails cut. When we had to put the same dog to sleep they made the process as easy as the circumstances would allow. They afforded us time to get other family members on site and space to help our beloved doggie cross the rainbow bridge with everyone who loved her within arms length. They are patient and attentive. They always present us with all of our options. If the service we need is fairly expensive they always offer to price it out for us before moving forward with next steps. They make tracking our animal's records easy. I work in animal rescue and have seen a lot of animal care facilities and please believe me when I say that this place is clean, well organized and coordinated like a well-oiled machine. If you have ever owned an older pet, you know how many issues can crop up with age. My dog needed help with everything from arthritis medication, to a skin tag that turned into an open wound, to dental checks, to stomach issues (which required a diet change and minimal medication for a short time). Dr. Tawnia and staff have always resolved every issue with common sense, care and a very reasonable price tag. They also helped me with end of life care. This is always difficult as a pet owner and I really appreciated their help when my dog was ready to be put down recently. They also are good about the little things, such as when they made a clay paw print of my dog that I was able to take home and have as an ornament/keepsake. In short, I have had multiple successful visits and would have no reservation about recommending Dr. Tawnia and the staff at DVC to anyone who wants good service and care for their pet.

I would not recommend Delano Veterinary Clinic based on our experiences here…read more Our dog, Tamago, has allergies, and my husband called on Monday to refill his allergy medication. Initially, he was told they would not refill it until Tamago came in for a checkup, even though his next checkup isn't due until September. Apparently they ultimately did fill the prescription, but no one contacted us to let us know it was ready. Once we figured that out today, I planned to stop after work to pick it up. Their website says they are open until 5:00 PM on Fridays. The sign on their door says they are open until 5:00 PM. I arrived at 4:45 PM and the doors were already locked. I tried calling from outside and the call went straight to a recording saying they were closed and to call back during regular business hours -- which the recording itself says are until 5:00 PM on Fridays. What makes this especially frustrating is that they aren't open on weekends. Because they closed early despite every posted source saying they were open until 5:00, Tamago now has to wait until Monday to get relief from his allergies. Had their actual hours been communicated accurately, we obviously would have made other arrangements to pick up his medication earlier. Unfortunately, this is just the latest frustration we've had with this clinic. During previous appointments, we've found the doctors to be rude and judgmental rather than helpful and compassionate. We've also heard similar complaints from others in the community, particularly regarding their pricing and the cost of even basic services. Veterinary care is already stressful enough when your pet is uncomfortable. At a minimum, I expect clear communication, accurate posted hours, and respectful treatment. Our experiences with Delano Veterinary Clinic have consistently fallen short of that, and after this experience we will be looking for veterinary care elsewhere.
